He lived in Newhall, next to Magic Mt in Valencia, Ca. Married 4 times, 2 kids and remarkable. He died from a bleeding ulcer and buried at Eternal Valley in Newhall.
Gene and Eddie will forever be loved and missed...rock on Mr. Beepop

I saw Gene and the Angels at the London Palladium in November 1969. Great Memories.

I love his humbleness in spite of such talent. Morally inspiring. Such a brilliant song and so down to earth.

Makes you wish Eddie Cochran was still around just to see where his talent and creativity would take him and the classics he wrote.

This is true Rock'n'Roll! I love it. I guess Gene made this TV Show to promote his last album at the time: "I'm Back & I'm Proud". This live version of "Be Bop A Lula" is very similar to the one he recorded for the BBC Radio that same year. It really shows that Gene Vincent still "had it" two years only before he passed away. Thank You very much for sharing this rare footage (for me) :)

perhaps some great rockers were never meant to get old,Buddy Holly,Eddy Cochrane,Gene Vincent and Elvis never made it into old age, while Little Richard Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee continue to grow old in true rocking style (disgracefully)

is actually a cool version, i mean if someone re-recorded the song with this this beat (someone who respects r&r and gene) it would be awesome.
    It sounds kinda funky =)

He was in a car accident and in a motorcycle accident, so I'm sure he was not in the best of shape.

EXCELENT SOUND BUT, LIKE THE MOST OF THE PIONEERS THAT PLAYED LATER HIS OWN EXITS, THEY LOST THE ORIGINAL RHYTHM AND BEAT; LEAVING OUT THE ROCK AND ROLL ROOTS.
    WHAT I TRY TO SAY?
    ¿QUÉ TRATÉ DE DECIR?
SONIDO EXCELENTE. COMO EL DE LA MAYORÍA DE LOS PIONEROS QUE DESPUÉS INTERPRETAN SUS ÉXITOS, PIERDEN SONIDO Y RITMO ORIGINALES, ALEJÁNDOSE DE SUS RAÍCES ROCANROLERAS.
