Perfect upload date. Getting featured on my favorite youtuber, what a dream come true. Was great playing with you and Fitz. Hopefully we get to run it back again at some point.
Its a tough problem with Edison Lightsworn decks. Less likely to see power spells like Charge of the Light Brigade and Solar Recharge is a con of it for sure. You're also more likely to mill spells and traps instead of monsters. The monsters in his list are all necessary I would say minus Gragonith but a 4000 ATK piercing Lightsworn name (Glorious Illusion/COTH target) that often secures lethal in unexpected spots shouldn't be completely discredited either. That leaves you with staple spells, brain control (which he said he wanted more testing with but you can't go wrong too often with one of the most powerful spells in the format in the meantime), 2 Beckoning (staple), 2 Glorious Illusion + 1 COTH, and Compulsory. COTH and Glorious keep the mills going and support Celestia insanely well (Lyla into celestia is a +3 often). Compulsory is his single defensive trap and its difficult to make a case for full glass cannon being optimal. Extra turns of deck-out insurance comes up more frequently than you'd expect and having more spells/traps make it less likely to open hands of only monsters. Him and I have both gone back and forth between exactly 40 and more than 40.
Kristyasworns’s flaw is that its engines are so large you only really have room for a couple flex spots without going over 40. With your statement about the monsters, I mostly agree with a couple exceptions. 2 Shire doesn’t sound necessary at all; it’s the weakest lightsworn and does nothing besides being a searchable fairy off Charge which only happens occasionally at most. I think when you weigh your 41st card+ over making your power cards less consistent, Shire doesn’t answer that question especially at more than 1. Gragonith is cool but is not a very consistent card in a deck that already struggles with clogged hands. It’s good off Illusion, but often enough the Lyla play is what you want to do anyway. Thirdly and this is more food for thought than a recommendation; I’m finding Ehren pretty weak against the current popular Edison decks. I get you still need like 8 names, but I think there’s some choices there. Brain Control is good, works with your tuners and tribute monsters. I wonder if Dustshoot will be more impactful if I was going to add one of the sacky power generic cards. I love the reasoning with Compuls and it has multiple applications instead of just being a defensive card; I’ll definitely try it out 👍
@@connermorgan9223 Excellent points made, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us. I stopped playing the deck myself because its a higher variance deck than others in the format, 100% feel the early game Shire sentiment btw LOL. In Shire's defense it contributes to both engines and extra copies means you'll see it more often, hopefully via milling rather than opening it like Shire's cousin Wulf 😉. If it gets to late game Shire becomes a lot higher value as a 2500+ normal summon. There's tons of variance in this game and thankfully it was our lucky day. Thanks for the detailed comment once again ❤
Worst camera guy ever. Shaky, zooming up his nose, conceited, condescending
my bad 😭

Not sure on the logic of going over 40 cards here. You really really want to open up your engine spells.
