  • After many trial and errors, i've built the car yet again and hopefully this time it stays alive for a little bit. With the more aggressive cams, proper flywheel (old one had a bad timing wheel from Fidanza DO NO BUY!!) and direct port meth injection combined with many more sensors for protection (dedicated oil temp/pressure, Individual EGT Sensors)

    What was full budget for this whole build? 20k-30k?

    Nice man. I just did a twin GT2860 using JWT manifolds. Upgraded to GTX billet compressor wheels. Basically same build with uprev instead of standalone. Haven’t tuned yet for 1000cc injectors. How much power did you end up making? I’m using southbend full face Kevlar rated at 575.

      Nice, i made 640rwhp 600rwtq on the old setup which the only new changes where the C8 cams and direct port meth injection with 80% more meth then before. Also added a ton of sensors for monitoring since stock the ECU cant really see anything for proper protection, hell the Oil Pressure sensor is for gauge/oil light only and ecu can see info

    Nicely done! Decent build list you got there. Any reason for not using the stock ECU as they can handle the power you are looking at. This is very similar to what I want to do, but I'll go single turbo.

      I actually had plenty of reasons, i want to make more indepth videos of each aspect of the build however the bullet points for aftermarket ecu is:
      -easily monitor every aspect of the motor via laptop as its running
      -add sensors (Oil pressure/Temp, Individual EGT sensors per cylinder, Meth flow meter, Flex Fuel Sensor, Air Sensor, Proper Widebands, Fuel Pressure)
      -Speed density tuning to get rid of MAF
      -direct boost control instead of two seperate systems that cant really do anything with each other
      -Much better Traction Control
      -Huge array of Haltech accessories liek the multigauge on my dash that can monitor all systems without any extra sensors
      -Instead of different maps, tune just adjusts based on meth injection (Flow Meter) and Flex Fuel (e85)
      -Because of meth flow meter, if it stops for any reason, tune automatically goes back to base and doesn't keep the timings advanced/boost up if meth fails
      -Probably more but thats the jist, It's not about being able to tune for that much power but the safeties, control and monitoring the stock ecu just simply cannot do
