Loud at takeoff but once they're at normal cruising speed they're nice and quiet.
Well it looks like this buzz saw is about as high pitched as it could get... As a huge fan of engine roars, I'm not sure if I like this one... It's too high pitched. But hey, the plane itself is great!

Sounds exactly like any jet engine whose blades are spinning faster than the speed of sound. You hear the noise often on dc-9s or 717's because all the passenger seats are situated in front of the engines.
