Having the mics on and actually hearing you both conversating with each other clearly is a game changer to this channel! Keep doing what you do! Cant wait to see how this channel blows up and progresses. ill with u guys every step of the way 👏👏👏👏 much ❤️
Sell the plate, free money for an SR Christmas lunch. Thanks for another great series boys. All the best Daz
Rob says "unexpected video"
We say " awesome content" 👌
Kudos as well for lifting that gearbox out 💪
You two are better than any television series ! What an interesting colour that liquid out of the gearbox.
Love the lack of bullshit in these videos, No fancy intros, no product pushing, Just great content about doing work properly.
The new Mic's are great, I can hear Chris gathering the shrapnel from the cars! 🤣
That van was the gift that keeps on giving 👍😃 Great job guys
What a result having a brand new clutch perfect little motor have a great weekend guy's 👌👌👌
Well done Rob & Chris with the gearbox I knew it would be sorted as it was in your hands & you don't let anything go that isn't right & now everything is sorted & looking very Smart 👍👍👍
Mics are working a treat guy's and that DS is sorted. Great result Rob.
Bad news when the oil has scrap metal value
And it's so emulsified, you could paint your kitchen walls with it 😄😄
Or maybe that colour would look better in the bathroom.......
Lovely surprise keep them coming sound is perfect as well good man Rob
That’s water not metal in the oil.
I was quietly confident that your gearbox would fit and all you needed was to swap a few brackets. I think the new clutch already installed was a bonus and more important saved a good few pounds! I have to say I have never in all my years working on cars seen such a strange liquid come out of a gearbox, seen some horrible oil but not that!?? Anyway a very good result in the end, just took a bit longer than expected. Well done Rob and Chris once again. Just a quick thought Rob I keep forgetting this, You wearing contact lenses, I would suggest wearing safety glasses when under a vehicle. I mention it as my brother got something in his eye and damaged the lens luckily not his eye but the optician said it could have been worse. Have a good weekend Rob and Chris , we will see you soon.👍👍💪
I love your channel so much! You guys are so honest and hard working. It’s so refreshing compared to all the flash American teenager channels who may work on 'supercars' but actually do a rubbish job repairing salvage and don’t really know what they are doing. Well done representing the best of 🇬🇧 Makes me feel proud. We do it right!
Amazing content on The Citroen DS3 the car is back on its 4 wheels. The car runs and drives with no unwanted knocks or bangs. The gearbox must feel really sweet on the car and all the gears change perfectly. Well done guys you’ve earned a great profit out that car.
That gearbox wasn’t expected to go wrong with this car. But that’s gamble you take when buying these sort of cars. You’ve gotta to be in it to win it. Have a lovely weekend guys.
Rob so good to see you get involved instead of I ll go and get parts!!!
Absolutely entertaining!! Guys you have gone from strength to strength!
Absolutely well done 👏!!
That gearbox oil is unbelievable. Not seen many like that in my time.
It looks like the strange hand soap we've got at work 😀
I have no clue what it actually is but that liquid hand soap actually has swirling glittery stuff in it that looks an awful lot like the metal filings in this oil.
@@Ragnar8504 That'll be the industrial waste the neighbouring Chinese factory wanted to dispose of.
Enjoyed that build. I would defo wait for the log book issue and sell the number plate. £500 is a great lift on top of the profit for the actual build. Great job guys 👍👍
I've just bought one of these myself a couple of weeks ago, and £2500 is a fantastic price for a well sorted car. I certainly could have snapped this one up if I'd known just a little sooner. Great content as usual guys. New mics are great
Loving the 🎤 lads! We hear everything now, even Chris cleaning and putting his tools away,🤣
Great video as always, keep up the great work!
Great watch !!! Rob and Chris , come across as a pair of diamond geezers !!!
The car deserved a new lease of life 💫
Well done boys, a nice car in the end to go with a nice earner, respect to you for offering the cars out at a reasonable price.
That gearbox was really knackered!! I bet its never had an oil change in it's entire life ,that horrible fluid that drained out of it tells the tale. Excellent job guys. That spare gear box you had from a doner vehicle ,including no cluch replacement, saved yourself a substantial amount of money. Hope that car is sold soon.
Thanks once more Rob and Chris for a smashing video. When I was a lad the weekend started with Ready Steady Go. Now it starts with SRUK. Great work again.
Hi Rob and Chris as always what a brilliant video thank you take care both 😊👍
Rob so pleased you mentioned the front number plate, it was affecting my OCD😂😂. Brilliant video that is one sorted DS3 absolutely stunning. Total credit to you both.
Well done chaps, all that hard graft has made an old banger into a great little runner. Great work Rob n Chris.
That car should be considered a lucky escape, I doubt most people would have seen it through as you have done, it would of been a parts donor or a "race what you brought to the field" banger.
Well done Rob & Chris what a great transformation job that you have done on the abused DS3.
Great result on this one Rob, when you showed all the loom etc not replaced properly above the gearbox I just knew it had a new clutch (had similar cars myself) so good to save a bit on that.
Another good rebuild done.what a result brand new clutch and flywheel. Well done Rob and Chris.👍🏻
Evening Rob & Chris. What a fantastic result on the gear box 👍🏻 Just shows you shouldn’t throw anything away lol 😆 So glad you’re both making a tidy profit as you both do out a lot of time and effort fixing them up not forgetting making these absolutely amazing videos 😀
Brucie bonus 2 video Monday, lovely treat thank you guys! Bonus is that you had the spare gearbox and now you have a little extra storage space too. This as always is a nice little runner and worth every penny, well done guys. Now for the 2nd video to watch👍👍👍
Great video again and so glad you had a box already and clutch was new too. Hoping to see a Laniia Delta rebuild hopefully one day on this channel
Good work chaps! My only input on number plates, taking them on and off is they're a pain in the...!
That car is like triggers broom , at least after all that work it will give the new owner peace of mind
Nice work guys, the Citroen DS3 looks a nice car.to have the clutch at hand has saved some money.having it cleaned has made it like new again.
What a cracking little car now you've sorted it & another one saved from the scrap heap, well done chaps👍
Another brilliant video guys. So look forward to watching these. Keep warm guys
That's a lovely well sorted little car. Definitely worth doing when you crunched the numbers. That was fortunate it had a recent clutch. That's the first time I've seen metallic grey paint used to lubricate a gearbox! 🤣 Top work, both. 👍
Very nice one, Rob and Chris. And happy holidays.
Cracking turn around, a very well sorted motor now, and lovely little earner 👏
knew you guys would get it sorted, and swiftly too , another nice car for the new owner, top job guys 👍
Good vid lads 👍
Could do short video on whipping the old box apart would be interesting
Plus you could take the input shaft out and you’ll have a Citroen / Peugeot clutch aligning tool 👍
I had one of these on a 10 plate same spec lovely car to drive ,very reliable but the sills were absolutely rotten and none were available at the time (only last year) so sold it to a welder fabricator who was going to make his own. Miss it very much.
Good to see you bring that car back from the brink. It’s a nice spec in white with the maroon accents and leather interior. At £2500 it’ll be a nice little motor for somebody who will hopefully show it more love than its previous owner👍
Great rescue mission guys! Well done :)
Great job but you've likely downgraded refinement and economy. The Berlingo gearbox runs only 23.7mph/1000 revs, the DS3 a pretty tall 29.7mph.
As usual lads another cracking job. I wouldn't expect anything less from you. Well done.
thankyou gentlemen,,this has been a very good project with a decent profit,,looking forward to the next adventure till then have a good weekend and see you in the next one,,👍👍
Well sorted little car now 👌
Bit of a result that box being the same! Excellent content as usual guys, have a great weekend 👍
Just when you thought that car couldn't surprise you anymore, the gearbox was a smoothie and the new clutch being a Brucie bonus so what a win for you guys 👍🏻 it's a cracking sounding motor now but does make you wonder about it's previous life 👀😅
On a below zero night in Ireland with a big snow forecast, can't beat a Rob and Chris video 👍👍👍🍍☘️🌻⚡🙏🦾❤️🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Nice to see you both back at work😉a nice little job to get you get back into the swing. Looking forward to the 22 reg! Cheers guys...
Lovely finish to the car well done guys great video have a good weekend
You two have taken that from dog's dinner to dog's danglies and you deserve every penny of your profit and also much respect to you for giving the valeter a drink for dealing with the rank interior of it.
This sounds like it's been driven through a flood and the engine has hydrauliced. That would explain the water in the gearbox. Good to see it rescued 👍
Reminds me of my mate's old Orion 1.6 Injection (A reg) where the gearbox was bolted back together after a clutch change using the wrong bolts.....it disengaged itself from the engine block and destroyed both itself and the clutch.
Well done gents. You deserved a little luck with the new clutch and now you can sell on with confidence 👍
Lovely car that burgundy color adds a classy look to it. Great save thanks gentlemen. And Rob you have hopefully quieted the doubters with all you hard hands on work in the last few videos I knew now we all do LOL
Maybe that was a Rufford Ford car! It’s been used and abused but glad to see it all fixed up proper and back on the road instead of in the scrapyard. Great vid as usual guys. Cheers!
Love this car guys ! Certainly a well sorted motor for someone.
Prob the best salvage rebuild guys ive ever watched on You Tube. Love your channel.😀😀😀😀😀
Cracking little car, lovely result, smart with the red leather, a great profit to boot !
Love how your not greedy with the prices rare in the car trade to find honest genuine people who would be genuinely gutted if they accidentally sold a car that was bad and would prob give your money back not that I could c that ever happening there very thorough
Brilliant well done guys can’t believe the mess of the oil in gearbox well done guys it’s ready for new owner 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Great work gentlemen, well done.
If you put some rocks with minimal gap between them (bricks for example, 3-4 layers or more, depending on how much weight the fireplace can hold) on top of the stove in your garage, they will hold heat for several hours and even when the fire has gone out, there's still heat coming from the fireplace for a couple of hours. Just an Estonian thought, because we have saunas which have similar construction and quite a lot of us still use fireplaces for everyday heating during winter in -20. But otherwise, excellent video as always! Always waiting for more.
Take care guys have a lovely weekend 😊👍🙏
Let it go with the reg plate that's on it. The new owner can take the plate off , swap the reg to the one that was on originally, put the personal plate on a retention certificate and sell it in their own good time.
What a result!! Well done to you both !!
Great video guys great result on clutch 👍
Good work guys, great little car now. Have a good weekend
This little car is so cute, now you two guys have worked your mechanical magic, it runs as well as it looks❤.
I watch all your new video and look forward to them each week. Keep up the great work.
Great work as always guys. Nice, clean, cheap car for someone and a decent profit. That donor van has done you well, too.
Another wonderful video. Great job gentleman, thank you for all the amazing content. Keep up the good work. And Happy Christmas.
Another great video guys .mics are ace gd to hear you both. 👏
What a cracking but for the nest owner. Fantastic work from both of you great team work
Well that turned out just great guys, nice car now for someone and still a good bit of profit for you,I do like the red interior on this one, have a great weekend 🙂👍
Well done guy's !! , yet another one done .. plus a jolly good job too ..
It’s quite clear in the flood water as somehow got into the gear box and oil that’s my thoughts, but going on it’s a nice looking motor that has finally been sorted out hands on video enjoyable thankyou
It hasn’t been in a flood 👍
Great result on a fairly sketchy car to begin with. It is now, as you say, "a well sorted car", and the price will give someone a vehicle that should last a good long while, if taken care of.
Good series, and I very much enjoyed it. I think I like the mechanical projects as much as the body repair projects, so keep them coming.
Another great video guys, the new mic's are a really good job.. 👍🙂
Great vid and well done on the fix.
Done and dusted. Nice job. Have a good weekend.
well done fellas, you made light work of that little car
.... well done again guys - you'rere the go-to channel even before the world cup football (although that may change in the next few weeks - or probably not after tomorrow with france!) - I'm one of them who keeps asking about the orange oil drip feed tank, to the side of the multifuel stove - how does it work / what is the purpose of it?
Brilliant Rob and Chris a good video if buying a car off you not buying a white elephant well done guys
Bit of luck having that spare gearbox available and a new clutch already fitted. Good to see this one done and a decent profit for you guys👍
Fantastic work Rob and Chris looks and sounds top quality and a nice profit at the end as always.Cheers for the video lads take care
Edited have a great weekend
Looking good, Rob and Chris least you didn’t have to spend that money for another gearbox
Great video guys , lovely cat and a nice profit 👍well done and good luck 🤞, the oil coming out of that gearbox ! Not a good Color must be a mess inside
Mics are banging, great addition.
Another one saved guys Great work as always cracking little car for somebody
Another excellent video chaps, really enjoyed this 👍
Friday night and that was more entertaining than anything on the tele.
Seeing the other bodgery, whilst it was in the air, belt and braces, I'd have spent the small amount of extra time to take the clutch off and see if there was more hidden bodgery lurking.
And it would be nice to see the internals of the box before you put it in the skip just because of the oil, glitter and water. Just rip it apart and show a minute segment in the next episode. Then lob it in the skip.
Voice of the GPS: Leave the roundabout at the first exit Rob, or go around a few times looking for it. You live here Rob! Navigation terminated. Find your own way home...🙂
Nice one lads, gearbox failing was a blessing in disguise really, a really well sorted car now, lucky with that clutch. ✔️
You two lads are so clever fixing car's. Merry Christmas.
You’ve brought that little car back from the brink it’ll make a really good runabout for not a lot of money take a bow boys
