THIS VIDEO IS NOT ENDORSED BY ASDA IN ANY WAY
I'm back, I've been very busy... since the last video a whole 6 months ago, I've gone and gotten my HGV license and been keeping up with university and my other things whatnot. Today we do the evening shift, nice clear sunset and good weather coming into spring!
Happy Easter everyone!

Me, also an Asda driver, watching this in said Asda van at work ;)
Doing the exact same thing 🤣
With the totes, do you load the the higher delivery numbers first and the lower delivery numbers after (closer to the door).
Hey mate fellow asda driver here from Kent enjoy watching your vlogs and experiences 😊
Houses who order a ton of stuff with no parking should be instantly banned 😂
Just resigned from Asda Dagenham couldn't get a trolly or a clean van ie spilt yoghurt in fridge days or weeks old so sad enjoyed the job.
Hey Jack don’t know if you know on the left of the hand set yellow button will give you a touch useful at night as most of our freezer compartment light don’t work either lol am a driver at Asda Wrexham.
Just finished my first solo shift, really enjoying it but flat's are brutal. Definetly won't need a gym membership. Great Content mate 👍.
It’s the Gym of life…😂Stronginthearm…💪.
jesus a working lightfoot! not seen one of them for a long time, we got 8 vans, i think only like 4 of them actually work! lol
I need to enter my weekly competitions!! 😂
I just finished my evening run for Ocado.😁
hi, just joined Ocado, any tips? thanks a lot
@@rickychang5698I used to work for Ocado, one of the most respected companies I have worked for so understanding
How did you manage to take a dolly out with you ... Champion on a short, flat walk with loads of totes !
i just started driving for Morrisons, I done 2 days training then I was out myself, tonight will be my 5th shift. We drive 24 plate merc's, very nice and comfortable to drive id say. I live in the countryside so i do a lot of driving which is perfect for me. We do on average about 10 drops a shift, sometimes more, sometimes less.
Sounds great! But the real question is.. do those vans have A/C?
@@JackDelivers yeah they do! I might start doing my own POV drives, I want to get a pair of the RayBan Meta glasses to record me driving. I’m just not sure how Morrisons would be regarding that.
Haha, nice. I just use a gopro for mine I dug out.. works alright, not as discreet as camera glasses though! You’d just have to speak to them, check your contract and company policy. My management are aware or my videos and as long as I’m doing my job correctly and not delivering late they have said at present there isn’t a problem.
asda van go brrr
Asda still doing the Tetris style vans but at least most are Automatic (Broom Bruum) 😶
What tips can you give on how to adapt to driving a van? For someone whos only drove cars. What tips can u give turning etc
Of course, first definitely get to know your vehicle height, width, length and weight. Some bridges may be 3T but fully laden you may be almost 3.5T or they may be too narrow so keep an eye on it. Second get a feel for how it handles, how much steering you gotta put in to turn and so forth. Third try stick to hugging the white line of the road to start with so you don’t curb the vehicle on turns and so forth and when taking narrow turns just slow down a bit and watch the back end, if you have an overhand it will swing out slightly so keep an eye on any other vehicles around when turning.. other than that, it’s like a big long slower car.. so you should be okay. :)

Van opening back doirs with chipping
How do u open the body door? Is it a key every time and how do u know it’s closed properly?
Hiya mate just curious as im looking to change jobs myself, if you join as a delivery driver and wish to progress your driving will the company pay for it or is there a scheme or something, cheers?
Do you load when you start ur shift and then again when u unload/load for next shift?, At Tesco we don’t load our first run, only for whatever comes after us
Yes we get in, do the van checks and load. Go out do the run, get back unload, load the next one go back our come back and unload again. :)
@@JackDelivers I didn’t realise we had it so easy 😅 if we’re on a late we don’t need to do anything other than unload when we’re back and go.
I work for Sainsbury's and we get out vans loaded for us :) lol... arrive n drive, we just check its strapped down, vehicle check then off we go.... mangers are absolute pricks though
I deliver for Iceland. We have to pull out the chilled and frozen. Do a creat count to make sure everything is there. Print the loading sheet out, load up and then do a van check.
We are also expected those do this in 16 minutes with an additional 5 minutes for a van check
Is there fulltime for drivers
How do u know which delivery to do first?
8 mile range
How long dose it take to load a van? 45 mins?
When make membership in asda including foto
Membership card paying ,puting money in the card from asda stores
If is not in 8 mile range including more transport fees
He nake only locals drops? Corect
are you signed up to lightfoot rewards and have you won anything?
I am signed up.. but I am not that lucky no!
How do you know where to put the trays when loading the vans?
By the labels on the end of each tote (tray)
@@studarbyshire3851 I guessed that, no scanning them in like I have to do 😢
