- We're taking a look at the current state of 007 James Bond video games. There are so many great games from the EA era of James Bond, including Agent Under Fire, Nightfire and Everything or Nothing. Even the Activision era of 007 games had some underrated hits like GoldenEye Reloaded and 007 Blood Stone. Unfortunately, Bond was on a decline that couldn't be stopped. #gaming #jamesbond #007

You don't know the funniest thing is that we've gotten a Hitman game but honestly Hitman is kind of similar to James Bond it kind of sucks that we haven't really gotten any more James Bond games
The James Bond games were so fun and I used to look forward to getting a new one when a movie came out. I miss those days
Nightfire, Agent under Fire, Everything or Nothing, and Bloodstone are favorite James Bond games to play. Plus in everything or nothing had Pierce, Defoe, Cleese and even fan favorite Bond villain Jaws

I use to play Everything or nothing all the time as a kid. Also Willem Dafoe could have easily been a Bond villain on the big screen.
my favourite Bond game is Nightfire, because of the gameplay variety it provides, vehicle stages, stealth, even submarine stages, it's awesome
The real kicker is the lack of preservation. At least remaster what is out there.

Nightfire is my favorite. I did want to try bloodstone though.
Bloodstone is fun. It just has the downfall of not having much for gadgets again.

It's really sad to see this happening there's so much potential in both preserving the og bond games and also producing all new ones for next gen consoles
Yeah it would be a shame if game publishers or even MGM, who has a boatload of money made a tiny effort to actually preserve these games, wouldn't it? Its just sad they see it as disposable.
I don't have one favourite Bond game, I have many.
PS1: The World is not Enough - A good game adaption of the film.
Gamecube: Nightfire - A great Bond FPS that makes it feel like an actual Bond film and Goldeneye Rogue Agent - A great spin off involving the villians, that gets so much hate.
PS3: GoldenEye Reloaded - A great modern take on the classic 90's shooter.

I will point out that the original 1997 N64 version of GoldenEye was re-released in January 2023 for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S via Xbox Game Pass or Rare Replay and Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack (it is a digital only re-release. There is no dics or cartridge version)
And since I am playing it right now on my Xbox as I watch this video & as I write this, it is every bit exactly as I remember it when I first played it (all music, sound effects, likenesses, secret areas, etc are exactly as they were in 97....the only change was the controls from the N64 controller scheme. It has been updated to a modern control scheme for modern controllers 🎮. That was a welcome postive change that I approve of). GoldenEye is still fun as heck to play even today. 💥🍸
the 2000’s were great for Bond games. Nightfire and Everything or Nothing felt like actual films with credible actors like Willam Dafoe and Heidi Klum and also nailed it with really fun gameplay.
I've loved watching the Bond movies together and I'm excited to watch more and play the games.
The only Bond games I've are Quantum of Solace PS3 & 007 Legends PS3, from memory I enjoyed the latter more (I remember distinctly once the Odd Job boss glitching resulting in the Odd Job character model was replaced with Bond's lol)
On a positive note, IOI (the company behind the Hitman franchise) are working on a Bond game called Project 007. I am really looking forward to that one as I love bond and Hitman's my favourite game franchise.
I'm assuming you probably got to this part but he does mention that and that he hopes that'll be the start of a resurgence basically which I am also really hoping for cause Hitman is awesome

Agent Under Fire is my favorite JB game. The story was enjoyable, but the most fun I had in the game was its multiplayer.
I didn't even know until a few years ago that that game supports bots as well. It's kind of crazy to me that a game that old supports bots so that the multiplayer could still be played pretty much forever, but there's a lot of modern shooters that don't.
I liked Blood Stone , because this game it was Bizzare Creation's mashup to both third person shooter and racing game into a one Bond video game , also with the original story set within Craig's Bond era really pulled the gap itself

I actually have liked every single one I've played mostly except Legends. I do think ditching gadgets though contributed to the series slow decline in many ways.
Great video Jay I wish these games come to more modern consoles so i can play them but a lot of them I haven’t played but I interested in playing Blood stone and Quantum of Solace game for the ps3 and I love Daniel Craig as bond too Jay he is my favorite bond and i excited for the new Bond game coming out and to answer your question Jay my favorite bond game is Agent under fire and that mostly because it was my first person shooter as a kid and it is such a fun game

Yeah, like I said in the video I'm really hoping that's a kick in the right direction for this franchise again to return as a household name.

Everything or Nothing felt like a definitive Bond game for me. The gadgets, the story, Brosnan.
Quantum of Solace was a good second for me
Nightfire is the best Bond game I've seen. Great story and multiplayer. I hate the Brosnan Bond movies, but Brosnan had his likeness used in a bunch of great video games.

As much as a what another james bond and splinter cell game the way their doing gaming now. Only half releasing the game or it need internet connection

The Pierce Brosnan era was my favorite Bond era. I don't like how they've changed. It just isn't James Bond anymore. They've lost their charm & vibe
