Gotta give the writers credit for going 7 seasons and not ONCE having these 2 kiss or sleep together. Kept their relationship COMPLETELY platonic from beginning to end. That’s a feat not many shows can say they’ve accomplished.

As an aromantic asexual in a queerplatonic relationship, this has me in my feelings right now 😭 I love their relationship so much because it's so close to what my partner and I have, and it's so refreshing to see two people that are so extremely close (ESPECIALLY a man and a woman) without being coupled up. I wish more characters in mainstream media had this kind of dynamic.
These two are pretty much my favourite fictional couple. They survived the usual romantic connection that, in my opinion, can destroy a couple and a tv series. Yes, the series came to an inevitable end, but there was really nothing else to do. For a moment, I was confused with Sherlock faking his death, but it happened. The ending gave viewers hope that Joan and Sherlock continued on.
Was this the season finale or the show finale? because that ending made it seem like there wasn't going to be another season:( If there is another season after this one, then that's great! but if there isn't, then this was not a good way to end the show. I thought Michael was going to be on the same level as Moriarty, a villain that would push Sherlock past his limits, but he ended up being a generic villain with no real purpose. When Michael turned up dead, I instantly knew it was the captains daughter, it was just too obvious. I'm shocked the captain covered for his daughter even after Watson was most likely going to prison for a murder he knows she didn't commit, it's almost like the writers completely betrayed his character. Just because someone is family doesn't mean they are above the law, she murdered Michael and robbed all the families of justice! She was just thinking of herself when she killed him. Also, I need some clarification on what Sherlock mean't when he said, "we are two people who love each other." Is that employing that they are together now, or... ? I see a lot of people who loved the ending, but for me, I just keep finding faults with it.
Honestly same, they did Gregson dirty. They completely ruined his character. If this was the last season (as they first intended) I was going to be left so dissapointed & heartbroken. Also Sherlock & Joan last conversation was the saddest thing ever. Happy she moved with him to the uk eventually or I wouldn’t have survived the episode. So happy that it’s renewed for a seventh season, althought it only will consists of 13 episodes, I’m happy that we’re getting something.
So...I have never seen the series...but I saw the BBC series...idk if people ship them or like them better as friends. But if the show is still on...someone tell me if they become canon then us johnlock fans can use this to get the BBC writers to make johnlock canon...sry k bye
