That note at 2:46 always gives me chills, and just look at the look Stanley gives her when she pins the tail on it at the end...I think it lasts for a full 4 measures before she lets it go...Awesome!
Patty is here, paying the utmost respect to a true legend. I wonder if she knows that she's a legend herself. Damn, when she held that note, I almost fell out of my chair, and the look on Mr. Stanley's face was priceless. This video, along with the Patty Loveless/Ricky Scaggs video of Daniel Prayed, are just two good reasons why Ms. Loveless is THE best country singer of her generation ... or any generation.
