I have loved TT for at least 10 years. It saved my relationship with my teen daughter years ago.

We tried every kind of math curriculum for my kids. Teaching Textbooks is the first one to click for my daughter. We do the cd option because my son struggles so much with math that we need the flexibility of going supper slow and the online fee was too much. My kids love teaching textbooks and I would never use anything else again.
I definitely think it's in the way you use this curriculum. I think there should be more videos on tips and tricks to make Teaching Textbooks successful, practical, and enriching. We're in primary grades still, so we aren't using it yet, but I've heard from my seasoned homeschool friends that they do a bunch of different things to make TT great, like printing out some of the practice sheets and tests, and going over the material with them before they move on. I do believe I'll be using either Saxon or TT when my children are in upper elementary, I'm not strong in Math and I need the extra video instruction for my students, so I'm glad this exists. Thank for sharing this, and if there's more tips for TT please do share.

Thanks for sharing! I was looking into this for my oldest daughter but then hesitated because I saw a lot of people say it was behind and wasn’t thorough enough. We switched from MasterBooks to TGATB because MB wasn’t thorough enough. I like it but she hates it because it takes her so long! Plus we split every lesson into 2 days already. Math is not her strongest subject and she really dreads it every day. Maybe I will look into this again and do the free trial with her.
I'm having the same problem with my daughter (6th grade). Other youtubers have said TT left holes when their kids reached high school age, so based on that feedback we chose TGATB Math 6. My daughter is losing her mind- it's hard for her, and some of the answers arent given which leaves me confused as well. I am tempted to switch to TT to relieve some pain!
We use Math u see but you are making me re think 🤔 teaching textbooks sounds like a great program.
Good video thanks...but, I have a question do you do novel study and if so how do you do it? I am a mom that likes to save printer ink 😊 and I need the best way possible and the easiest way to do novel study. I also like for my kids to use their notebooks as well verses me always printing a worksheet. Please I need tips 🤯🤔

Yes, you can print worksheets and quizzes from the online textbook. My youngest is using the free trial and I print the quizzes for her. 😊

Do you do any supplemental math along with teaching textbooks?
No, we’ve never needed it

Absolutely
Are they available offline?
Yes I believe so!
One thing I love about the new app is that it will allow them to do lessons offline now. When it connects to the internet it loads (I think 5 or 6) lessons. That way if you connect once or twice a week to WiFi you are good to go to work offline all week.
I'm interested in offline too, that way my kids won't be tempted to surf the internet while they are supposed to be working on math. A friend of mine also has her kids do the tests on paper, as well as a few extra practice sheets (I'm guessing there's a printing option on the TT page) so not to lose the ability to do pencil to paper math.
