- After seven months of delays from MAGA Republicans, a scheduled vote by Speaker Johnson on military aid to Ukraine will take place this Saturday night and it cannot be stopped by members who support Russia. Next week it will be voted on by the Senate and if Senate Republicans cannot find 40 members to join a filibuster, then it will be signed by President Biden by the end of next week.

You weren't lying when you said that this was the best news ever. Mike Johnson finally relenting on blocking aid is truly one of the turning points of all time.
Mike Johnson now's that Donald Trump is never going to be standing for Presidency, MAGA can't afford to take the risk of moving him from Speaker of the house as they only have a majority of ONE, he's liable to jump ship to save his political neck for a future election
So Johnson Jr joined the navy as a patriotic job to a congressional career, to be SAFE, and skate (navy term for freeloader). Hope he likes stirring beans on the mess deck.
The way the bill is structured, there will be 8 billion less for Ukraine and the Replenishment is not the same as Drawdown. Ukraine will not be getting equipment at a 1:1 dollar ratio. Then add in interest on that. I would take whatever aid they pass though with a high five.

I genuinely don't know why people in the EU (generally on the CZcams comment section) think we aren't ashamed by Trump and his MAGA movement. We absolutely are and actively oppose them, not just for the U.S., but also Ukraine and the world. Sadly, politicians aren't as frequently and generally sensible as the general public (variably, of course. Time, place, circumstance, and other variables are crucial in understanding anything in both the past and the present).

After Iran's attack against Israel, Johnson may have had his 'road to Damascus' moment. The only way to protect his beloved 'Israelites' is to pass the Israel aid package. He couldn't do that with the Democrats without Ukraine aid being forwarded. Speaker Johnson may very well have fallen off the ass he was riding, seen the light, and heard God's command. Could care less what his motivations are, as long as it frees up the Ukraine arms package.

Honestly Jake, I don't believe a word Mike Johnson says. I won't believe it until the four votes are official with the correct results. How can a grown man change his mind like Johnson? I don't understand the world anymore. Jake 👍👍👍

How can you say that he had no choice and have 29 people give you thumbs up in agreement? If someone gives you an ultimatum, you still have a choice. For Mike Johnson it came down to his political career or the death of thousands of Ukrainian civilians. The destruction of hospitals, schools, dams and power infrastructure and much more. Mike Johnson made his choice and even with his most recent move he's still only thinking of Mike Johnson.
Mike Johnson did have a choice, he just made all the wrong ones, one being a liar, two, listening to trump, and many more.
Ukraine is not he’s responsible to protect so he doesn’t have blood on his hands the Ukraine government does maybe they should have put more money into their own defense when Russia attacked in 2014.
Somebody took him aside, and explained things to him in a *very* pointed fashion, I'd wager. The rest of his maga pals are furious.
But, I would not celebrate just yet. There are a few thick headed people among the Democrats, and scarcely a spine to be found amongst the Republicans. Aid for Ukraine will not be a given until it has officially passed on Saturday. I hope beyond hope that they support Ukraine.

Joe is not only a pillar of support for Ukraine, he's also done wonders for the American economy and for our standing in the world.. We lost face and became a laughing stock of the world when that Orange Buffoon led the country.
Joe is an old man, no question about it, and yes, I would very much like to have a younger more viral President. But if we remove the theatrics and visual impressions, Joe Biden is probably the best President of my life, and I'm 44.
Beside Ukraine, I vehemently support Biden's foreign policy on our cross Atlantic partnerships with NATO allies.. NATO, together with some other Pacific based partnerships, is incredibly important for the American security and prosperity.. All this combined with the great economic numbers where GDP grows, unemployment is a record low and Wall street is doing great, I'm positive Biden will wipe the floor with the soon to be incarcareted Orange clown in November...
We have the votes in the House and Senate to get this bill on President Biden's desk to get military aid to Ukraine. As a US citizen supporting Ukraine I'm still furious with the Republican Party for siding with Russia. We are working to raise the awareness of our fellow citizens why the MAGA movement and its would be dictator leader and the wannabe oligarchs who fund them are working to kill democracies across the globe.
Thank you USA - from the UK. The military aid to Ukraine will help keep us safe. The 7 months lack of military aid also showed us in Europe how we need to step up our own preparedness and support Ukraine more. So thank you twice.

The weird thing is trump did say Europe needed to step up for NATO funding... which was great... *Then* for some reason, though, he thought that meant for European NATO Allies to Pay America. 🤦♂️. Ugh... one of the few times I thought he was about to be correct, and he still goofed it.
I do understand we all thought the Cold War was over, and we had wrapped up the war on terror. So saving money sounds good, but every time America goes isolationist, the world wanders around before someone in Europe goes...hmm... it's too quiet. 😉

If Mike Johnson believes that Putin represents an existential threat then why was the Senate version of the bill never presented to Congress for a vote?
Probably because MAGA insisted that a border bill had to be included. But when the senate came up with the best ever border bill, Trump told Moses Mike, "Noooo! Then Biden will get credit for fixing the border and I want that!" So Moses Mike did as he was told and never allowed an up or down vote in congress.
This is an outrage. The Republican party is allowing this to happen and every one of them has to be held accountable. Pass the bill that the the Senate passed and GET SOME LIVES SAVED.
The new House bill, which includes language about defeating Russia and would make it law that Ukraine gets long range ATACMS, is actually somewhat better than the Senate bill. With Schumer able to make the Israel aid bill vote dependent on the Ukraine bill, it should have a good chance of passing. This is especially true if Republicans have seen the writing on the wall or if AIPAC has leaned on officials harder than Trump.
At last (not confirmed yet) there’s a chance that the American cavalry will be riding over the hill. Thx to those who still believe in Ukraine.🇺🇦 🇺🇸
