Y'all reminded me of something that I haven't thought of in years! When I was little, 55/56 years ago, we had a story lady that came to the library every Saturday. Every Christmas, she would dress up so colorfully and read some of these exact same stories. Kids today don't really have any need of the library (shame) and it's sad to say that the story lady or story time in general at the library went the way of the dinosaurs. Not to sound corny but you just brought back some golden memories. Thanks for that 😊

To the viewers ... Life can be hard and the world in general, well, kind of sucks lately. Just a reminder to keep the spirit of Christmas going. Not so much the holiday. That would be too much. Just that sense of being together, of family. If you see somebody struggling, reach out. You may be the difference in their lives. They may tell you to bugger off and in that case, well, bugger off but there's that chance you could make someone's day, or life, better. Watching your mom read a story made me tear up. My grandma passed away 2 years ago and she always read us bedtime stories. Also I haven’t heard of the book she read, but I’m definitely getting it to read to my boys.
