  • If you are a mobile hunter, it is likely that you are always looking to make your setup more efficient. Sometimes the smallest changes can make a world of difference.
For the duration of my saddle hunting “career” I had always just used the figure 8 method to manage my pull up rope, whether it was paracord or dynaglide… until now.
I have used the dynaspool for the last few months. And while it was a learning curve, I was able to be for more efficient in the way that I deployed and stored my dynaglide. Now, I cannot see myself going out without it.
In this video I show you how to spool it up for the first time, go over its features, and give some tips on what, in my opinion, is the best way to use it.

You know you could girth hitch that clip by just putting the loop through the ring on the clip then running the loop over the clip. That instead of running your whole length of dynaglide through the loop.

Yeah I actually thought about that when I was editing 😂

I just watched Staggs in the wild and saw how to splice a loop into this dynaglide. You should check it out. It only cost me a paper clip and it streamlined my rope tremendously.

I actually had it spliced like that on the first one I had. And when I made this video I cut it off to make the video, and then re spliced it afterwards. Funny thing is, I watched the same video you are talking about to learn how to splice it. 😂 so yes sir I 100% agree with you!

@@robzmancave my bad, not paying enough attention. I know when I tied that extra loop near the base of the spool I got mad at how lopsided it made the rope on the reel.

@@chrisj2713 I’m the same way man. Little things drive me crazy. Once I started using it in the field tho, you don’t really even notice it.

@@robzmancave I'm gonna have to go out in the yard and give it a good stretch and I think it'll lay down much better on the spool. But the brummel spliced loops on there helped alot with the lumpiness

If you stretch the dynaglide before you wind it up it won’t swivel like that. Just tie one end to a truck hitch or something and wrap a stick around the other end and put your weight into it. You’ll feel the stretch and you’ll change the rope for the better.

Interesting! I’ll have to try that! Thanks bud!
