Love the old trees and the old areas in general. Jessica loves the moss in the trees. The courthouse is cool. The kids are getting so big. Seems they grow so much in each video. All about the food. So that works for me. lol Here we go with the ice cream. That is why you are my favorite family.

Looks like a super cute town and that is a big old tree!
It's enormous!
And you got the Golden Isles as a bonus.
It's insane that the Lover's Oak is surrounded by asphalt extending over the entire diameter as the tree's canopy.
Paving over the root system of an existing tree restricts its ability to exchange gases with the atmosphere, a critical dimension of tree root health.
Of course, paving prevents rainfall from entering the soil and reaching the roots, further reducing their viability. Heat radiating off the asphalt subjects the
tree to increased evaporation, stressing the tree. And the installation of the asphalt means that many roots were removed to a depth of at least
six inches. That the tree has survived this disturbance doesn't mean it went unscathed. Time will tell. However long it's been since the asphalt was laid down is a mere blip in time of the tree's age, estimated to be around 900 years. As important this tree is to Brunswick's cultural heritage, it ought to be better protected. A good start would be the removal of the asphalt.

Been to the cup cake place, I was hungry and seen they had hot dogs and got one. Not the greatest hot dog but just a hot dog. Don't know the name of it but there is a thrift store my wife loves to go in, also another one right off SSI. Thanks for sharing.
I love thrift store finds! That in itself is an adventure 😆 I didn't realize that they had hot dogs here though? Are you sure it wasn't next door? That's so interesting.
