    • @patepulkkinenvtec2403
      @patepulkkinenvtec2403 Před 4 lety +6

      Don't think he can, despite being just 42-years-old his voice has already aged some bit.

    • @evilcowboy
      @evilcowboy Před 2 lety +5

      Well I just turned 41......my vocal range is from a C2 to a A#6. And yes with that vocal range I cover a lot of Muse songs and currently working on "Micro Cuts". He hit the C#6 with a scream in a live performance, when it is that high that is literally the only sound you can get out is generally a scream. If I scream the final note in a line I can go up to a A#6.
      Since Matt's vocal range is said to be from an E2 to a C#6 because he has a slightly higher voice than me I can see him still being capable of hitting that note with a scream. The reason it is rare to hear him do it is because everyone knows the final note they can sound out is stretching the living crap out of the vocal cords, you could potentially damage your voice doing it, especially with a scream.
      You can compare other singers who have done it often and you can see why he isn't going to be doing it too often himself. A good example is Axl Rose, his highest note is a E7 that is a WTF note because it is impossible for about 99.9% of men to hit that high. Now listen to Axl Rose today after having surgery to repair damage done, you can clearly see that screaming a note that high will destroy vocal cords.
      Although I can hit an A#6 I will generally refuse to go any higher than a F#5 (the last note of Plug in Baby) because its not that hard on my vocal cords, I can feel them stretching when it gets past that and thats probably not good. It feels like it would do damage over time.
      I have studied Matt's method of singing over about 4 months and trying to pick up on what he is doing. The best thing out there to understand his vocal range is the acapella version of "unintended". The music is not there so you can clearly hear how he is singing and when he is engaging his mixed voice and falsetto.
      So my personal final conclusion on whether or not Matt can still hit a C#6, I believe the answer is simply yes he can. As I stated me being only 1 year younger than him if I can hit a A#6 with a lower voice than he has then yeah I think he can still hit it. Mainly because my lowest note being a C2 and it being the lowest note that anyone bothers to measure (lower is ridiculous) then with him only going as low as an E2 then its really only asking him to go 4 notes higher than my highest note.
      His lowest is already about 5 notes higher, I refuse to believe I have a wider vocal range than Matt Bellamy. If he can't hit it any more then I would have a wider vocal range than him at 41 which would be retarded. Plus his vocals changed to include a more thicker sound not any other reason, you can tell his more recent stuff like "Madness" isn't vocally as thin as something like the chorus of "Plug in Baby" when he was young. It's literally just a thicker vocal and nothing else has changed. He can probably hit it easier now than before, because practice tends to make things easier to do.

    Admiro como puede ejecutar los agudos sin sonar muy lírico. Los cambios son muy sutiles. Para tener ese rango vocal tan bueno arriba tiene muy buenos graves. Gruesos graves. Tiene una voz hermosa porque la noto brillos a arriba no tan ligera (salvo en las últimas notas que ejecuta) y en los graves es grueso y con cuerpo.
    Estudio canto lírico y hay muchas cosas que hace Matt que considero muy difíciles de ejecutar. En las últimas notas que hace tiene toda la voz en la cabeza. Bien arriba y atrás. Resuena todo en la parte superior. Eso es re difícil de ejecutar. Que Chabon más genio por dios. Me encantaría escucharlo con mucho más lírico a ver qué más puede dar. Hermoso vídeo!!!

Las últimas notas son casos como esos, en ese caso, tampoco el F#5 de plug un baby contaría?? O el G#5 de showbiz? Son notas igualmente "gritadas" con un falsete de por medio, pero la distorsión y salvajidad que pone en ellas las hace sonar diferente, más como voz mixta.
