Thomas, you always make interesting videos. It’s nice to learn about what you do.
Thanks for posting.
I appreciate that!
Love these videos!
Thanks
Great video.
👏🏼 if you have your pipe laser back behind at a distance from the concrete box you are starting from....how do you know what height to have that laser at to start from? Wouldn't the last need to be inside the first pipe inside the box? Or a specific measure up height from flow line of pipe? Just seems like it would throw the laser off if starting point for last is back a distance behind starting box. The only way you could do the distance behind starting box would be some fancy math right? You could place laser over starting pipe flow line in box and reverse the slope a few feet between it. Move laser back. The go back to positive slope? - - second question, how does one decide to use hdpe instead of concrete? Would this be a parking lot with only passenger cars? Delivery trucks? - - what geographical region is this?? Here in NE Georgia we have clay and rock mostly. Washed 57 under most pipes. - - thanks for this video. Very educational.
I'm going to go ahead and say congrats on the 1000 subs bro! I know you are only 2 away and you should be there. By the morning! Now it's time to start producing that content! You have worked hard and stayed with it and I just wanted to be the 1st to say congrats man! Hope you don't get upset that it was a tad early
@grubbmudd7510 you are awesome. You have supported me from the beginning. Thanks.
I saw the plans ,ostly called for a .30%. Did you set the laser at .26% (video mark 1:29) because the laser was further back than if starting at the catch basin?
I’m number 12 on the out of work list at my local laborers union. I really hope I get sent to another pipe job.
Good luck
What y’all know about that Dawn Dish detergent baby!!! 😂👏
Do what you gotta do. Thanks for watching.
Isn’t flow line the bottom of the inside of pipe and then you add thickness to get the true bottom of pipe ?
Ive never set a pipe laser up on the ground like that, but may be easier to line it up that way. 🤔
Good to know! I’m starting my project in 2 weeks.
Good luck!
@@thomasconstructiontexas we have to set 4 type 2 catch basins. 16 ft deep. It’s definitely fun. Look up lever monkey in you tube. He’s out of California.
Your my favorite when you gonna hire me?
How do I get my grade for my manhole after HI?
Do you always set your pipe laser on top of your trench?
Most of the time we do. The reason for that when you take the pipe and it's been laying in the sun and you put it in the cool ditch, the humidity will make the laser dance around. At that point, you need to put a fan blowing through the pipe to keep it from doing it. So it's just as easy to put it on top and not have to deal with that.
Tips on setting the catch basin I’ve been setting them with the same fl of my pipe is that correct?
By being able to set the pipe up or down in the inlet box, it gives you the freedom to match the top grade. Risers come in 6 inches 12 inches. So by where you place the pipe in the box, you're able to leave yourself with even 6 inches, 12 inches or 36 inches whatever it works out too. If you raise the pipe in the box, you need to go put cement in the bottom so you don't have standing water.
Thank you
Great content
And he even responds!
Always do the math and double check the percent the EOR states on drainage/paving sheet
Its all hdpe by you no rcp or sdr?
It's just the way the work comes down the line. Today we started clearing 93 acres.
@@thomasconstructiontexas most of the storm in ill is rcp
