I don’t like to look at the world through this lens either. My wife is white and I have mixed children… I have love for every race. But this wasn’t a mistake… this was straight up wrong. And it’s sad that ppl see it and try to find a scenario where it’s innocent. Nah bro.. call it like it is.. they did them kids wrong man..if it was the other way around it would be no debate

I’m a 17 year old black girl but when I was 9 and my family of 7 went to Sesame Street and there was no sign of discrimination towards us. My sister was 2 and all the characters held my sister when pictures were being taken. Idk what going on with the people at sesame street now.

Bro I work here, the dude in the costume was a 15 year old mixed hispanic and black kid. The cut himself off completely for weeks after this happened. Everyone working with him thought he was going to kill himself. At the moment he is on paid leave.

I have been there, go pretty often in fact, I honestly don't think there was any racial intent i honestly just think it was taken a bit out of context. They don't get everyone, sometimes they have to catch up to the parade or even have to do dances which they are told they HAVE to do or they get fired. The purple one where he knocks over a kid I can explain, someone tried to take it out of context, the performer is black and i know that because i know who they are from a friend of mine, the real audio the family is laughing about it, and it cuts off before the character picks her up back on her feet, which they arent technically allowed to lift them from the ground but he did it anyway because he felt bad. As far as I know all races get skipped but people just so happened to get a bunch of videos (in my opinion in the most neutral way possible without any pick on either side) of kids of color, when in fact, most people at the park are of color and they cant skip every kid of color its just unreasonable. The performers at sesame place are teenagers and were sent death threats which honestly is scary in it self, 2 wrongs dont make a right, i think this was just taken farther than it had to be taken.

I feel like it’s hard to say if it’s racism or if they actually just missed a child.
