Here are a couple of business to start, especially if you're living in rural Kenya like myself.
1. Sewing/Tailoring of uniforms, wedding clothes, baby clothes, suits, etc.
2. Most of use mill our own flour, it makes sense to start a milling business. You can further mill animal feeds once established.
3. Hatchery business, especially for indigenous chicken.
4. Brick making.
5. If you have electricity in your area, you can start a Welding/Griding business.
5. You can start a tool renting business, for example you can buy a thresher and thresh other people's maize stalks.
6. A tree nursery or a seed propagation business.
7. Cold room/Pack house for hire(Same for Cold storage trucks).
Milling is a great idea 🥰

Business opportunities are all around us, you just need to have your eyes opened, mine were opened with the help of my financial mentor mr Robert Andrew
You’re right, I trust only mr Roberts with all of my finances and investments, I have been making huge profits since I started investing in the stock market with his help

It’s my pleasure, I’m sure he will also show some enthusiasm towards working with you

Im from the twin islands of Trinidad & Tobago, and i started an distribution business in 2021. And thank you so much for your TRUTHFUL videos has helped me a lot over the years...
yea trini we have allot of resources to make good business especially exporting.
The water part is crazy profitable, my brother in Ogun state, Nigeria makes at least 2 grand a month to 8 grand a month (especially during dry season) with a single truck delivering water in two 200 gallon tank. It pretty good, incredibly stressful at times but profitable
THE BUSINESS is easy to start, but THE LICENSE is HARD to acquire because you have to PAY 2 PLAY!
@@dexterspeights3484 Roughly how much for a water license?
Great video but if you wanna be successful, you most take responsibility for your emotions, not place the blame on others. In addition to make you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You must look outward if you wanna be successful in life, Successful people don't become that way overnight. most people see at a glance-wealth, a great career, purpose-is the result of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life 🙏🙏🙏
you've remind me of what someone once said "The mind is the man, the poor is in it and the rich is it too". This sentence is the secret of most successful investors. I once attended similar and ever since then been waxing strong financially, and i most tell you the truth..investment is the key that can secure your family future.
Starting early is the best way of getting ahead to build wealth, investing remains a priority. I learnt from my last year's experience, i am able to build a suitable life because I invested early ahead this time
Yeah investment is the key to sustaining your financial longevity but venturing into any legitimate investment without a proper guidance of an expert can lead to greater loss too
exactly! That's my main concern and what kind of investment can someone do with this increase economy turndown
Hello I'm new here, what exactly kind of investment are you talking about here, I'm really interested too
I missed the original ALUX lady's voice. Welcome back

"Hello Aluxers"
I stay in Uganda, and one of the best bussines to start up in Uganda and a developing country is agro processing (agribusiness)
This is like milling maize to maize flour, rice to rice grains, cassava to cassava flour etc.
This is the bussines j have been involved in and the reality is the returns are good
LEGAL WEED is the next CASH CROP in AFRICA!
Thanks
Pretty cool insights. I'm in Botswana and I've already dabbled in Marketing consultancy, animation and videography as well as cookie manufacturing. I believe the tech space is something to get into as well so the cellphone repair idea is pretty neat.
I am from India. I started my printing business in 2014 after working with corporate for over 2 decades. I have all the time in the world now and am looking forward to diversify now. Most developing countries are well populated with young people so starting a business is relatively easy in terms of availability of manpower and also niche markets, however legal and capital issues may be bothersome but that's an inherent part of the business environment
You are very correct. Capital issues drains
Ive noticed this in the beauty section in the philippines and its there are people who would buy Perfume that isnt local so there are specific sellers who purchase Niché and designer perfume (sample sizes , travel size , refils etc) for travel or the whole for half and affordable prices . One time in marketing class we were discussing Defussion lines and present each of our ideas there are alot of ideas when i mentioned perfume the teacher agree as well and in his words " Many people buy them regardless of the price" esp on travel size for them to try around before purchasing . If its a blend inspired thats popular , the originals have a certain favorite and if its a small buissnes owners blend or new designers creation they would get it
This is amazing
Thanks Alux
I got piqued by the recycling business honestly because I see potential across the value chain from collection to end process that is products.
It’ll be nice to connect with people who are equally interested in this
That's true. It's actually a potential source to make a fortune from
As an Asian, I like selling STREET FOOD from my country here in Sydney, NSW, from the Philippines
Recycling businesses particularly pique my interest, and I plan to start one in the future. As for my business suggestion in developing countries, one could start an entertainment/hang out place. I currently live in the Philippines, and Filipinos love to have a good time after school or work. Karaoke bars are very popular, but you could add other fun stuff too to make your business unique.
MAFIA owns most of the K-BARS and THUGS are the managers if you try to leave without paying the bill!
Lol, most bars in the Philippines aren't owned/controlled by mafia or thugs
So I live in a developing country called Palau and the interesting business venture is actually the first one about transportation. Thank you very much
#8 seems to make a lot of sense at cities up and coming, especially mega cities. Glass exterior skyscrapers = steady need of window cleaning.
Amazing video my top three ideas from the list 1.local transportation services 2.cash_crop farming 3. opening up a barber shop #Tanzania
Safi kijana
This video delivers some serious value. I had a lightbulb pop moment that revolves around transportation. Bless you alux.
Your video on low cost businesses to start in a developing country is truly inspiring! It's amazing to see how entrepreneurship can create opportunities and drive economic growth even with limited resources.
I have been follow this videos for a long time and i really liked this videos abouth opportunities in development countries like mine, thank you
These are good businesses. Also, I would add a self service carwash especially if you're located along highways. Thank you alux for sharing these ideas.
As someone who lives in a developing country, I can say that this is accurate... Although water isn't an issue where I am and handicraft is only valued in tourist attractions
Thank you for the idea's Alux!
Am about to start my cleaning business ❤❤.... Thank you Alux!!
I smiled when I saw cash crop, since that’s what I’m currently doing - Jamaica
Heeyyyyyyy!! What do you do in Jamaica?
@@vonnieg farming as a side hustle. However I want to turn it into my main stream of income soon.
I would have loved meeting you on your Ugandan trip. I live here and am lowkey influenced by your work❤😊
I dabbled in the car rental business in another country. FYI- the cost of the car is easy. SHIPPING Is another and can be quite expensive and then pay customs, especially shipping to countries that do not have regulated custom tariffs. Be prepared to “grease palms” to retrieve your car. Good luck 😊
This one was for me, thanks Alux😎
I even picked my notebook and summarised it down.
Yes!, we already want the advanced version!❤
Car rental interests me the most, I'm looking forward to doing something in it
Water business is a good idea but also if a village can’t a dig a well will they be able to buy that water. I think for a low income area to spend there is need to encourage them to venture in to production etc ant with the support one is able to spend because they hv a source of income. For arrears are a no go zone for me . That’s my view
Transportation business and water packaging is big over here in South Southern Nigeria... I hope to get into it when I have the capital, right now I prefer to focus on self development
My guy, na everywhere for Niger.🔥
Like how much capital? I'm in south west Nigeria though
@@moneyarc5810 I haven't done the research, but from a friend, he purchased two cars for Bolt ride business, the cost of the vehicles was about 3mil for each...

I like the transportation business idea the mobil phone repair too 🔥🌍
Glad to know that u've been to my country Uganda.
I want to start one of the business mentioned. I will choose recycling or water delivery may be. I have bachelor's degree but I don't want to work in company. How should I convence my parents about this. ?They are against businesses
The things made of recycled materials was the most interesting to me
Driving institutes also one of theam thanks alotes aluxes lady👍
Great video keep them coming.thank you
Alux is top 1% best content on youtube! Cant wait for the follow up video
Another Awesome video Thanks Much Love ❤❤❤
OMG I did feature in the Alux video! Yes transportation is very profitable!
Im already doing 2 of the business, BARBER and CELLPHONE REPAIRS🥰
How did you go about it? Did you get a loan from a bank how much is it to start up these businesses?
Thanks for sharing 👍😊
Great video! I'm in South Africa and I'm in the food distribution industry...
Which. How do you do it
Hence the word developing countries not developed aluxers ❤. Live long and prosper Alux lady.
Waste management is an important part of society. Recycling waste unlocks the value of refuse, creates jobs and boosts the local economy.
@Alux
Please make a more advanced version of this video. Businesses that have a higher startup cost but will produce greater ROI.
THANKS 👍
Yeah your right most of the things especially the food stall idea it better in South Sudan
Home cleaning services, distribution business and Recycling business
Manufacturing is the Best Idea In Malawi Inorganic fertilizers are expensive
Thanks for the good work Alux, from Uganda
Organic food farming is another great idea.
I'm one of your biggest fans Alux.... I've been for a while but, never ever use the term "easy" and "business" together, whether the entrepreneur is starting the business in a developing country or not. As a person running a business in Kenya, I know what I'm talking about.
True.
Or the term "passive income"
I hear you
Well research topic. From Kenya East Africa.
Ooo wow it’s cool you guys came to my home country. Hope you had a great time
Recycling business and stood out
i think of an idea of second hand materiaal as a great business
For a second I thought Alux was only targeting individual in Developed countries
amazing research

My business passion is to open a global network of a very unique restaurant unfortunately it is quite expensive and I am not sure about the demand for this kind of a unique restaurant
How does this work?

Some cell phone repair shops operate as kiosks in a mall or other heavily trafficked consumer center.
Would I still be able to manage any of these businesses while still living in the states? Or would I have to reside in that country ?
I think you should reside in the country that will be the best because there will always be trust issues
For you to manage from afar you're gonna need someone TRUSTWORTHY.
@@alphaosmanjalloh3904 Unless there is a physical need to process items that you can touch, best not to be there.
@Spam Mouse yeah but all the same it depends on the geographical location too for those kinds of business

It's a wonderful video and a very educational one,!
How about tailor shop?

Bonus low cost business - Teach your native mother tongue (language) to the foreigners coming to visit your area.
Delivering water would be interesting.
Hello Aluxers. Mina I would open a school of excellence. It might sound expensive at first but actually it isn't. The impoverished are not easily exposed, even though we live in a digital world. You would be amazed to discover. So I would love to bridge the gap, starting with confidence building. Thank you!
If your target is the impoverished how can you make money 🤔
You will get plenty of honor and good reputation but money might be harder, unless you get good donations from rich institutions
Thank you HP Law TV. Yes you know you are right. People keep telling me that. But the perspective I'm looking at of which I'm might be erring again. Let them sell their skills, potentials, God given talents and enter into a world of opportunities. Kanje; if one is a good cook, promote them through home economics to open outreach programmes like, restaurant nights and cake sale days and there are many more programmes within the programme, uyabona mos, like master chef Junior. Most of the people love the limelight that can help them generate money and change them from being an ordinary citizen to a value citizen. Thus they will be able to have a strong back. And give back to the school. Just to name another programme, the parents of the poor will be empowered. We can find seam stresses as an example, if given an opportunity to make school uniforms to sell to the school and give a certain percentage to the school it might be another form. I'm thinking, I might be wrong still, give a chance to another parent to open a kiosk and the parent will be able to pay for the kid. Yet again the scholars will be exhibited according to strengths. There is a local school, for example, that buys learners from other schools, purely on their excellence in sports. Don't scouting masters by serendipity get good actors through social media these days? How about helping interested parents to open a child care programme within a school, and as well as train the neighboring communities with child and youth care training. Programme. In my view I might not be actually an entrepreneur but I see a lot of a win win type of a situation in a school. And everyone will grow tremendously and long term. Imagine if there's a drop in clinic, where it becomes an extended programme to the community whereby they pay for their consultation and kids are referred and since they will be getting independent they will be able to pay for the services rendered to them... It could be a wild dream but thank you for an advise.
I like the recycle business.
Not entirely true. As a non-native in most (in my direct experience) developing countries you will HAVE to pay every fee, licence and duty for every-little-aspect of creating your business and doing so "legally" where as your competition will not be so burdened and also escape paying on-going fees and salaries while your costs are running at maximum. In my case I also had to pay an extra signage taxation for placing signs on the business premises in English while local languages incurred no such "tax".
Then first, find a trustworthy friend who will help you set it up like a local ;)
@@HPLawTV Nice idea, doesn't work like that.

Sorry to say but India my father have autorickshaw and he hire a driver who pay rent everyday, but believe me he earned more money like he earned ₹1000-₹1200 and he give us ₹300 but it also have maintenance cost what we have to pay we have to fixed all of those parts and everything some it costs 5000rs to 10000 sometimes even more and day by day u have to maintain frequently. So it's burden for us now
Oh shucks man. That's quite the situation. Have there been any advancements in the autorickshaws since your business started? I mean, money may be tight, but it would be worth it to check if there are autorickshaws that don't break down very easily? This is assuming you haven't checked though. Respect to your dad and you guys! 💯🔥
