They were teammates at the University of Michigan when they won the National championship (even though Tom was not the starting quarterback that year). There will always be a bond there.
They both did attend Michigan University at the same time, so there is a chance they were friends back in college, and remained friends over time while in the NFL.
No guarantee at all the Raiders go on to win the Superbowl, so nobody can ever argue that call cheated Woodson of a ring. We all know Brady got a fortunate call, but that one play is hardly the reason the Patriots finished as champions. And technically it was the right call the way the rule was written. Seen both play live. Die hard fan. Not playing favorites.
Nah, they were very close friends in college, they even lived together. For football players, the college friendships usually last long into and most of the times past their NFL careers. Jarvis Landry and OBJ are another example of this, same with Chase and Burrow in Cincy. College football builds strong bonds.

I recently saw that mighty game and it's just crazy. The Raiders were superior at every stage, they were crushing the Pats, the only reason it was a low score game was because of the weather, but the Raiders looked comfortably in control. And then at the end the Pats just score a touchdown out of nowhere, next the Raiders fail to score, and then in the final possession the Pats make the tuck rule drive and all of the sudden they tie the game. In two drives they erased everything that happened in the whole game. It is unbelievable.
@@Prima10ne but that was a shout-out with like 4 possession changes in 5 minutes. This game was different, way tougher.
