I have seen the rover in the render in a Mr beast video where he tested jobs from a few months ago
Your voice and presentation style are much better than the ai you used for this video. Please just keep doing original recordings until ai text to voice is better 😂 thx
It's not a bad AI, just a mediocre human being. Original voice is not going anywhere, he just needs a break from time to time.
Thought about AI, but sounds more like a blocked nose to me.
@@SALSN It's not a blocked nose, it's artificial intelligence.
yeah i find robot voices unlistenable to -- my brain just doesnt process what they say -- This presentation with human voice was a reallly good and one of the main reasons i watch the channel.
@@TheSpaceRaceYT there is a huge difference between talking and announcing. We are hearing an announcement, not someone talking to us. This is why everyone thinks it's AI.
This happens a lot, especially on platforms like TikTok. For some reason people think they need to make a difference voice when narrating something, with a weird high-pitched monotone.
A more personal, conversational tone, has a huge effect on how people perceive and assimilate what you're saying. When you announce things like it's an infomercial it feels weird and artificial.
Your voice Sounds AI-generated in this video😂
Would you believe it's a totally different person with a very similar voice?
@@TheSpaceRaceYT no, but im Would believe it's AI-generated video
No

I can't comment on text to speech but I can pass along your feedback to the dude who read it to try and chill out a bit.

HLS looks again a top heavy design as US faced recently
3:25 - We learned just another day that Starship's LEO capacity is less that 50t at the moment - less than a _third_ of previous breathless announcements.
That's why we say 'when they get it fully operational' which in my mind is the V2 Starship. It looks like they need to get there before the system can actually do useful things, other than just fly to space and come back down
@TheSpaceRaceYT Well, it might be capable of launching a reasonable number of Starlink V2 sats and demonstrate docking in LEO, but that's about it. What worries me is that Starship development is full of such "surprises", from welding techniques to structural integrity compromised by simply cut out deployment door to launch attempt from unprotected OML. All that is basic engineering - no need for experimenting.
I appreciate you trying out stuff with the voice. Personally I like your original voice. The way you pause and use tone is what I really like.
It's possible the new guy may have over caffeinated himself. Original voice will not be going anywhere, don't worry.
New Starship looks like it's going to topple.
maybe bro just needed a break? why is everyone tripping? it just sounds like somebody filled in for him and tried to match his voice in the usual videos and didnt do that bad its just different. like this dude has been making content every week for years, he need somebody wlse on the team
The most accurate comment ever posted on the internet right here
Tall, thin ships landing on unprepared surfaces seems very risky to me. Having crew and cargo located multiple stories above the surface of the moon, and being dependent on cranes, or elevators, to reach the surface seems to be bad design. A dedicated landing vehicle that is designed to specifically deal with the challenges listed, would make more sense. Transferring cargo and crew in orbit around the moon would be simple if there was a cargo section with a crew compartment that could be transferred in one operation.
Agreed. When it comes to this stuff, I always just assume that rocket scientists and engineers know things that we don't... But it does look a bit dicey
I don't think I like the AI. I can see it being the future for voice work but it's not there yet.
Either something was up with the audio processing from normal or I hope you get over the stuffy nose quickly and feel better soon.
The problem is the tower. How are they going to keep from destroying it each launch?
The refilling procedure will require at least 15 or 20 starships to bring the fuel in orbit to fill only ONE lunar starship, and this considering the "small" manned starship, let alone the cargo type, so i have many doubts the system works
Destin, he of "Smarter Every Day" gave a great talk about this wild, untested complexity --To NASA Engineers!!. A must-see. None of this dreamed-up complex crap will work--
@@jackprier7727 yes! i dont know if you watched also the video about the suits and gravity pool but i have a question, even though i didnt watched it really carefully: it seems to me that the divers with the suit have some weights to simulate moon gravity, otherways they would jump toward the surface; but they are moving very slowly, really with a lot of "friction" compared to apollo astronauts, they absolutely cannot make those jumps and acrobatics, and it is not possible it is due to lack of training, so in my opinion there is something fishy both on the moon and on the process of the pool experiment; and another thing: it is strange to me that such a thick water mass can be compared with the total lack of atmosphere on the moon; how can the experiment be realistic?
Perhaps the heatshield was damaged when the capsule skipped on the atmosphere initially and just kept oblating evenly after that, but at an unexpected initial angle caused by the skip.
Wow!!!!! A new CGI from the master's, Dr. Evil and his Disney ride creators!.
I hope you feel better you sound like you are sick. Thanks for the video even though you under the weather. ☔️
Also, congrats on almost a quarter million subscribers! 👍
Thank you!
Hopefully the Japanese Rover has a modular concept. Standard lower electric drive and transmission base with an environmental shell above it. So you could remove the shell and make it into a carryall to transport large cargo. Remote tie two vehicles together, so you have a crew rover with a remote tandem carryall for heavy equipment. Maybe you only need a simple two passenger environmental driver cab, with an extended flat bed.
This looks like a design from a 50s sci fi movie
Those are the best ones
How are they going to land such a tall spaceship on very uneven terrain? Maybe it will have landing legs that will adjust to accommodate the same? The Blue Origin vehicle seems more practicable for the job. A lot of this remains vapourware. I just don't see it happening in anything like the expected timeline.
JAXA is an incredible partner for NASA. I think they are better than ESA. The JAXA modules on the ISS are almost a small station in itself, complete with robot arm and lab module. And JAXA has its own launch capability as well.
HLS looks again a top heavy design as US faced recently
i dont see how blue origin keeps getting these contracts
Yeah, SpaceX renders are much better than Bezos' renders.
@@michaelreid2329 and 1 of them has actuaally been to orbit
They need an official backup, even though, BO is hardly a backup. Its a placeholder.
Cause their design better fits the mission. Geting 4 crew + 15 tons landed and back to the Gateway requires 400t into LEO with methalox. HLS is 1300t, significantly overbuilt.
Have you heard of lobbying? How about the government is for sale to the highest bidder?
I expect a Cargo HLS Starship to be the go to vehicle for transporting heavy loads to the future lunar base at an economical cost. Imagine, 150 tons to the surface!
They should look back to the *Mercury* using _RetroRockets_ to slow the capsule before being jetisonned.
Thanks for the news, and the commitment o7
Instead refuelling in space, fuel containers should be send to space and wait for the Moon Starship to be joined to it. Much safer and faster method I suppose.
And considering the SLS flight actually demonstrated a working inflatable heat shield that worked first time they should be shelved
Can the electromagnetic orientation of the earth affect which way the plasma goes during a reantry?
Hooray! Maybe this time they will actually get to the moon.
Is this voice over AI generated? It sounds much different than usual. I’m sure putting out these video is a lot of work but using your normal voice and tone adds a lot to the vids IMO. Just some unsolicited feedback 😂
Not Ai generated, just a person with questionable skills at best. Original voice isn't going anywhere just experimenting with some things.

@@TheSpaceRaceYT I’ve been there, I know his pain.
The Starship send to the Moon should land horizontally, not vertically. Most of problems with lift would disappear. Imagine if lift would be not operational for some reason; the mission would fail after successful landing at the Moon!
If NASA slowly rotates the craft on the bounce maneuver on re-entry, they can evenly distribute the uneven erosion.
P.S. - Is Starship 26 an HLS test article..?
Toyota space capsule? Maybe this moon stuff will work.
I do like the blue moon, i think its the traditional appearance, space X lander looks like something out of loonytoons made by marven the Martian, its not a bad thing lol
Sound was weird this go around..
You're not wrong
Starship HLS is built to handle wayyy more than 15 tons. Even with 4 crew, it could land 60 tons of cargo and bring the crew back to the lunar gateway. Its massively overbuilt already.
The crane has to do the critical part of lowering 15 tons.
@@Kr0N05 ..... without falling over ?
wow amazing lunarship
I wonder what was really wrong with the old, fairly successful existing Starship. I mean how many tonnes can a Starship render transport?
Lets face it neither are going to land on the Moon.
"Successful" as in failing and then blowing up a little later in each test mission?
Use electric magnets to hold the two ships together for fuel transfer
Good idea. Just align the ships, flip the switch, and it's Miller Time.
You need to align the two ships perfectly which requires a mechanical latch like the ports on the space station.
It was better the Apollo heat shield or this?
Top-class report ! 🙏
What was wrong with the original rockets used in the 70s? Why send humans at all?
The challenges are astronomical. Will they succeed?
lol half the comments are about the voice
MUCH better voice ! Please stay with this !
nasa should've just used the altair lander or something similar for the first few flights and once the base is set up, use reusable and refuelable landers.
You should prob get a job at nasa then, they prob never thought of that.
I have been a subscriber to this channel for a long time and still loved the video 👍🏼 definitely sounds AI generated and would much rather you speak like the sponsors ad 😂
I personally prefer the original voice, I thought it was AI until I read the comments lol! But great video still :)
If the regolith under the landing legs is not firm, moving a 15 ton load off of the center line of the Starship could be problematic.
That's a very good point!
5:27 skips the advert
Pod? That, my fine man, is a capsule.
Were you a voice actor in Yu-Gi-Oh abridged?
Its crazy
Space 1999 eagle 1 transporters design look easy to unload, able to be launched from earth and travel from earth orbit to the moons surface, not hard to make modular and has a much lower center of gravity.
Has the Shepard rocket fixed the problem from the last accident? The last accident was in september of 2022 and the booster was a pancake.

"Packed Artemis schedule?"
FFS, SpaceX launches over 100 Falcon 9s in the time between two Artemis launches. Probably over 200 between Artemis 1 & 2.
Starship's still in development, but once they nail down the design and reliability, I don't see why they won't be able to do the same.
And yet it takes just under a month to relaunch a falcon 9 booster. That's after 10 years and hundreds of launches. This whole thing of rapidly reusable starship is a ketdream.
It’s not a pod. It’s a spacecraft.
Thank you NASA

It'd take 15 other starships to fuel the Starship lander, which isnt going to happen.

OK - we found out that a different person is narrating both The Space Race and The Tesla Space, as of today’s videos. However, the original guy narrated the Opera advertisement in this video. MY TWO CENTS - let the original person (who pronounces the word “the” like “thee”) keep narrating. His style is freakin’ great; whereas the new person sounds like a salesman to me. Land the Starship horizontally. It will simplify a lot of things.
that would look so cool, straight from starwars or smth
Not practical.
@@billweberx Yeah, I dont see the practicality of landing a tall vehicle with a high CG to then lay it across to turn it into a habitat. The Japanese vehicle toppled over. Its a problem. But, who knows, they may get it to work.
@@pedrosura SpaceX has landed hundreds of tall vehicles with high CG without incident in a much stronger gravity well. It will be challenging, but I think they're up to the challenge. The most difficult part is finding a good landing zone. Once they have that, they can ace the landing. You can't lay a big rocket ship horizontally, it will fold in half. That's why SpaceX builds them vertically. The other launchers do build and move them horizontally, but they have very specialized carriers that supports the rocket along it's length. And it supports it while it brings it vertical. Don't have one of those on the moon.
@@billweberx Space X has landed on landing pads.. Have them land in the desert of New Mexico. or Arizona.
The rocket will fold in half? True if its designed to land vertically
Remember its 1/6 the gravity and the vehicle is supposed to be laid horizontally. What then? And how?

Erm, shouldn't we use google in space it's a more secure government website? (I know it was for the sponsor)
TOYOTA HI LUX Moon rover will be unstoppable.
Should just send modified crew dragon atop of a Falcon Heavy and have it ferry astronauts to Lunar orbit and rendezvous with the Lunar Starship. The R&D for that would be significantly cheaper than another SLS rocket.
This idea is far too practical to ever fly at NASA
@@TheSpaceRaceYT If you think that's practical, check out my solution to the lunar habitat below.
The ideal solution for a SpaceX lunar habitat would be to create a modular HLS rocket.
If the crew portion of HLS could pop off and be lowered down and moved via lunar crane, it could function as a lunar habitat without the need for any renovations.
Next, use the crane to set down the fuel tanks, repurpose the legs for horizontal stabilizers, and attach a pre-built door onto its side, it could be converted into a storage facility, laboratory, garden, machine shop, rover parking, and etcetera.
Once situated, both the habitat and storage facility can be covered with compacted and hardened regolith to finish the lunar base.
@@TheSpaceRaceYT The idea is wildly impractical. Nothing spaceX has was designed to bring people back from lunar orbit, the margin for safety on the PICA-X heat shield is much smaller than the margin for safety on the AVCOAT heat shield even with this unexpected erosion. At the point where you are designing several new systems including a new heatshield and longer lasting eclss (Dragon has life support for 20 person days) you might as well just redesign the heat shield on orion.
As I was watching this video I thought you did a fair job talking about the issues but was wishing you had explained why "just have spacex do it" wouldn't be an answer.
