28:12 - The Best City to Live in Europe
Bologna is such an amazing choice! It’s the perfect compromise in Italy with its rich history, vibrant culture, and fantastic food scene. Plus, the cost of living is reasonable compared to other major Italian cities. The local community is incredibly welcoming, making it an ideal place for expats and anyone looking to experience authentic Italian life. If you’re considering moving to Europe, definitely check out Bologna! 🇮🇹✨
I lived in Bologna for 3 years and I can totally agree because it was really a great place for me
I am Indonesian now living Berlin! I love it ❤
Hi @deejustdee4097, that's fantastic to hear! Berlin is indeed a wonderful city with so much to offer. Glad you're enjoying it there! Thank you for sharing your experience😊❤️
Why always Amsterdam? It's a pretty nice city, but as a Dutch guy I think Amsterdam is overrated. The Netherlands also has other nice big cities like Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and Eindhoven.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! The inclusion of Amsterdam doesn't mean other Dutch cities aren't worth living in. Cities like Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, and Eindhoven are also fantastic. Amsterdam has many benefits and is an awesome place too!
Very good presentation, thanks
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the video ❤️
In Amsterdam was the first time ever that I saw a bicycle traffic jam :).
That's fascinating! It’s odd to see a bicycle traffic jam, but hopefully it will become the norm in more cities soon
Did you get a chance to explore Amsterdam by bike?
@@geoinsiderIt was a bit odd indeed haha but totally normal I guess considering how many bikes they have in that city. They're everywhere.
Yes, I went on a bike tour and I had to divert because of that jam :)
@@adriancaleanu That's an interesting experience! Hope you still enjoyed your bike tour despite the detour! I would love to experience Amsterdam's unique biking culture someday 🙂
😮😅😅😅
Just a little "how to read'.
Krakow (Poland) spelled as Krakov, while Wroclaw spelled as Vrotslav.
Poland Citizen will appreciate if we spell their city names correctly 🙏
Thank you for the tip! Polish people are wonderful, and they definitely will appreciate spelling their city names correctly. Much appreciated! 🙏🙌
I understand what you mean, but to most English speakers what you wrote means something different. What you want to say is "Krakow is *pronounced* like 'Krakov', etc. And speaking of spelling Polish names correctly, it's actually "Kraków", which is pronounced "Krakuuff", and "Wrocław", which is pronounced "Vrotswav". I lived in Poland for two years teaching English and travelled all over the country. (And btw, saying "Krakow" is perfectly standard in English) 🙂
Don't be ridicoulus. Every language has their own pronunciations of places. Sweden is "Sverige" in Swedish...Do I expect Americans to say "Sverige "...of course not...
@@johanswede8200 Agreed, I also thought ilasceti was a little over the top with their comment... 👍
Thanks for adding to the subject of where to live in Europe as my girlfriend and I are looking for something more longterm, and I always study and watch these kinds of videos to the end! I've already lived in Denmark, Germany, and Poland for a number of years, so I mostly already know the drill of living in Europe, and language is not a big problem for me as I'm a language enthusiast and polyglot. As for "mistakes" that other people have mentioned, they're inevitable, but I didn't think there were all that many in your video. You probably noticed yourself that you had footage from Ukraine when talking about Sofia, Bulgaria (as evidenced by the Ukrainian flag!). Also, I found your pronunciation of "Florence" a little odd, as though you might have never had an Auntie Florence or heard of old-time actress Florence Henderson! And don't tell Polish people that Poland is "Eastern" Europe! That's Russia, and the Poles are not all too fond of the Russians! And for a city that was "left off", how about Istanbul? Our absolute favorite city so far, and on our short list of European cities to live in! 🙂 (And btw, the way you said Krakow is perfectly fine in English, but natively it's just a little different! 🙂)
Just subscriber
Thank you! Much appreciated ❤️
Lisboa, as an American living there I can tell you that you need to add another 1000€ or more a month the rents have skyrocketed! The secret is out, lots of expats here now. Otherwise yes it’s great!
Thank you for sharing your experience! It's good to know about the rising rental costs in Lisboa.
Despite the high demand and increased costs, it's great to hear that you still find it a wonderful place to live
Nothing adds value like insider info, so thank you for providing that!❤️
The video about Sophia includes a few seconds of footage of the central square of Kyiv (Ukraine), where the Ukrainian flag is visible
It seems there might be a mistake in the video. The footage of Kyiv's central square with the Ukrainian flag is definitely unrelated to the video about Sophia. Thanks for catching that!
This list is OK...But Athens is a nightmare of a city...the traffic etc...And Athenians...Ask yourselves: "Are we really nice people?"
Somewhere in germany. Munich?
Poland is in CENTRAL Europe.
Thank you for the clarification! Yes, Poland is indeed in Central Europe. I appreciate the correction 🙌
Yeah, just like Magdeburg.
Vienna should be on the top
Cześć Mariusz! Vienna is indeed a beautiful city with a high quality of life! What are your favorite things about living in Vienna?
steve
Well, I understand that it’s not too much interesting in Warsaw comparing to other cities on Poland, but you added Wroclaw photos stating it’s Warsaw and don’t even mentioned Wroclaw in your rating. Not fair 😊
Thanks for pointing that out! I’m pretty sure the footage shows Warsaw, maybe in the background where there's focus on people...
Also, don’t worry-Wrocław gets the love it deserves in another video! Check it out here: czcams.com/video/535tDGBhBfo/video.html Hope you enjoy it!
Cheers! 😄

Thanks a ton for subscribing! 👍 I'm thrilled to have you on board. Hope you enjoy the content!❤️
Does it include renting a place?
Yes, it does include renting a place, but it’s based on the cost of renting a studio and not necessarily in the city center
I’m sorry but “Flor-a$$” is just too funny 😭
Haha, glad you found it funny! There's always a chance I did it on purpose to get some extra engagement. Thanks for spotting the Easter egg! 😂
I wonder how on Earth Oslo didn't appear on this list
With so many amazing cities in Europe, there are always a few that might get missed. We'll definitely consider adding Oslo to next year's edition!
No way Bucharest and Tallinn have the same cost of living. My uncle, aunt and cousin live on 1500$, and while not comfortably, they do get by. Bucharest is not that expensive, 1200$ maybe only if you rent in the centre.
I mean you can rent in Tallinn for 350-400€
@@comrademightess9413 you can rent for as little as 150€ in Bucharest if you're willing to sacrifice either space or location, though at a price point of 250€ you have houndreds of options
You left out Vilnius Lithuania 🇱🇹
Great point! Vilnius is a beautiful city with a lot to offer. I'll definitely consider including it in future lists. Thanks for the suggestion!❤️
Boooo! Where is Vienna?!?
@golubovicm Vienna's so amazing, it didn't need a spot on this list to prove it😉
Ridiculous slip - but the whole thing is intended for los Gringos, who occupied Vienna yonks ago...
No French cities? Surprised.
Thank you for your observation! It's interesting that no French cities made it to the list. Which French cities would you have expected to see included?
@@geoinsider Toulouse, Montpellier, Toulon.
@@tommyflorida9204 Thanks for the suggestions! Toulouse, Montpellier, and Toulon are great choices. I'll keep them in mind for future videos!
Ils ont peur, parce-qu'ils ne connaissent pas le français.
@@BogushCh Dommage, je suis Canadien et bilingue de Montréal. J'adore le Sud de la France.
İstanbul nunber one
Thank you for your opinion! Istanbul is an amazing city to visit with its rich history.
However, with the current inflation rate around 83%, it might not be the best place to settle down permanently at least in 2024😅
Bro? Didn't add any Swedish city 😭
I know right! There were so many great cities to choose from and only so many spots. Which Swedish cities do you think should have made the list?
@@geoinsider
Sweden has many good cities like Gothenburg /Malmö etc
But umeà ❤ a
mid size Swedish city is my favourite, I don't think is compatible enough to qualify your list....good luck for next time 🙂
@@zainulabdin1720 Thanks for your tips! Malmö is actually included in my other video about underrated cities, so you might want to check that out.
I'll definitely consider the other cities for future videos. Thanks once again for your suggestions! 😊
Superficial. You cannot name the best 25 in Europe and not have Vienna, which has been named the best city to live many times, not only in Europe but in the whole world, and of course Ljubljana, which is definitely in the top five. You obviously weren't here. An unrealistic arrangement. Oslo, Zagreb, ...?
It would be best to consider that people can have different opinions than yours. This is my personal ranking, and you’re welcome to create your own if you disagree
Just to clarify, I have been to Vienna a few times. Personally, I found it expensive and not as enjoyable as other cities. While it's nice to visit, I wouldn’t want to live there. Everyone has their own experiences and preferences. You should accept that fact.
there are a lot of things wrong here 😂
Oh absolutely, it's a miracle anyone is still watching this video with so many things wrong in it. Yet somehow, people seem to love it! Guess they enjoy a good mystery of errors. Thanks for your opinion nonetheless
