On the other hand my country Mali which is one of the biggest gold producers in the continent (3rd with about 70 mt annually behind Ghana and SA ) hold no ounce of gold reserve. That’s why Mali is nowhere to be found in this ranking. With an irresponsible leadership and a corrupt economic system Mali has permitted the looting of over 1000 mt of gold from its gold mines in the last 20 years.
