When I listen to this I feel as if I’m being chased by a solid black motorcycle with a similarly black cloaked rider as I’m given directions on how to avoid it by my cell phone
When I saw her in concert a fan lightly tossed a thank you letter to her on the stage and she read it and he thanked her for this album helped him when he came out of the closet and she got in the crowd and hugged him ❤
I love the ‘don’t hide yourself in regret, just Love yourself and you’re set’ part, cus I relate so much, I hide myself which is not good but I’m not brave to come out.
I like "whether life's disabilities left you outcast, bullied, or teased, rejoice and love yourself today cause baby you were born this way." I can so relate
Im a trans man and just moved to the south. And I wore my very gay/trans "Free Dad Hugs" shirt today. I knew id get dirty looks and rude comments but Mother Monster gave me the courage. I will forever be in her debt.
As a new panseuxual man (22 yo) I finally get this song and why it had such a big impact on the LGBTQIA community :,) I’m a “straight passing” man and it makes me cry every time Stepth tells me that I was born this way ❤️❤️
who else cried when she said “ no matter gay, straight, or bi , lesbian or transgendered life im on the right track baby i was born to survive” . She supports Us ❤️🏳️🌈 !
Even as a straight Filipino dude, I can relate to this song. Glad to see a fellow product of the parochial school system made it and produces great riffs. BTW, I think Joey Ramone- is smiling down on you Lady G 🤙🏼
This song has basically become the lgbt+ anthem, but I just love how it speaks to EVERYONE. I'm not part of the community, so for some time I felt like I had no connection to the song. However, when she sang the song live in her concert, I cried like a little baby. I was bullied feom early childhood up to adulthood, and it felt like she sang the song specifically for me. I'm sure everyone else there felt the same way. Truly a magical moment. She's a queen.
I love how this is a song written that everyone can jive to, it isn't gender/orientation specific.. no matter what, you can still find a way to relate. People of any faith or orientation can find solace in it.
This is how everyone should live! It doesn’t matter what color your skin is, it doesn’t matter where you are from, your sexuality doesn’t matter. No one can tell you how to live! Because you were born this way!
It's hard being bi. Because you think your one thing and then you have feelings you've never had before and so you question everything. It takes a while to accept that you like both genders. But, this song makes me proud to be who I am.
This is definitely one of my top 5 favorite songs. It always reminds me that I shouldn't hide who I am. I'm gay and damn proud of it, and if anyone has a problem with that, I'm going to keep my fire burning bright and burn that hate to ashes!
I was heavily bullied by others in my school for being bisexual and I had an idea. I was inspired by some wise sayings that a video game taught me when saying this to the whole school in the end of the year (about the struggle between the LGBTQ community and other people): "what makes the difference between a story and a legend? Is it the cruelty of it’s vilains? Or the bravery of the heroes? Is it companionship; friendships forged against overwhelming odds? Or the story of a struggle, that changes the flow of time? After the details have faded into dreams, what will we remember? Ultimately it’s the tales that capture our hearts, and give us reason to hope. When the bravery of the world is greater than the forces of evil combined.. that is when legends are born." Somehow that text alone gave me hope in my darkest times. Those quotes and this song combined are the best. Thank you Lady Gaga
Listening to this after coming out to my bestie as bisexual. She was really casual and kind about it, and she promised she'll keep my secret. I never knew this would be such a good feeling!❤
I love how I naturally follow the lyrics with my heart even If I didn't know about this song (I found this song now). Having a strong heart and desire for freedom that comes from my soul is something I will never hate about me.
I need this song right now. I'm a trans woman who battles severe dysphoria and right now I am very dysphoric. Against my better judgement I looked up what Dave Chappelle said about my community it was extremely triggering and I feel like I'm broken and maybe there is something unnatural and wrong with me. Thank you lady Gaga your music has saved and continues to save my life 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈👍👍👍💖💖💖💖
Don't be a drag, just be a queen Whether you're broke or evergreen You're Black, white, beige, chola descent You're Lebanese, you're Orient' Whether life's disabilities left you outcast, bullied, or teased Rejoice and love yourself today 'Cause, baby, you were born this way No matter gay, straight, or bi', lesbian, transgender life I'm on the right track, baby, I was born to survive No matter Black, white or beige, chola, or Orient' made I'm on the right track, baby, I was born to be brave
if kei wasnt there and only born this way was there and it was born this way vs the wonder of u born this way it would have been a walk in the park for born this way
Who else thinks that when she made this song, with all the people it has helped, and encouraged acceptance on such a wide scale, that she should have won a Nobel Peace Prize?
me: plays this song while on call on discord all my friends: waits for the 'gay straight or bi, lesbian or transgendered life.' the song: "No matter gay straight or bi, lesbian or transgendered life.' the gay friend: "GAY!" the heteros (aka 4 ppl): "STRAIGHT!" my chaotic bi self: "BI!" the lesbian: "LESBIAN!" the trans male: "I'm not gonna scream this because my parents are getting ready for church right now and if I yelled transgendered life they'll come in and yell, OLIVIA TRANS MY ASS. SHUT YOUR MOUTH WITH YOUR OLIVER BULLSHIT!" me: "really?" him: "no i haven't come out to them yet." literally everyone: *loud asf laughing*

Not gay & this song is still an uplifting anthem that heals inner sadness or doubts.

As a new panseuxual man (22 yo) I finally get this song and why it had such a big impact on the LGBTQIA community :,) I’m a “straight passing” man and it makes me cry every time Stepth tells me that I was born this way ❤️❤️
This song makes me feel proud to be pansexual! Thank you, Lady Gaga and you're right "I was born this way!" 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈💖💛💙

This song. I can hear it just fine, but as soon I start singing I cry like a baby. This is how powerful this song is
who else cried when she said “ no matter gay, straight, or bi , lesbian or transgendered life im on the right track baby i was born to survive” . She supports Us ❤️🏳️🌈 !
this song is never getting old
Even as a straight Filipino dude, I can relate to this song.
Oh hunny, the LGBTQ+ community might’ve made it their anthem, but it’s for you too❤ the message is that we’re ALL beautiful exactly how we are.
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 This was, is, and forever will be the official LGBTQ+ anthem no matter what 💜💙💚💛🧡❤️
Wow the world has really changed a lot since this song came out... and I mean for the better! Happy Pride❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
I love how this is a song written that everyone can jive to, it isn't gender/orientation specific.. no matter what, you can still find a way to relate.
People of any faith or orientation
can find solace in it.
MY JAM!!!!
This is how everyone should live! It doesn’t matter what color your skin is, it doesn’t matter where you are from, your sexuality doesn’t matter. No one can tell you how to live! Because you were born this way!

I'm sick of seeing comments like this
no
It's hard being bi. Because you think your one thing and then you have feelings you've never had before and so you question everything. It takes a while to accept that you like both genders. But, this song makes me proud to be who I am.
Lady Gaga is a queen and I love her

This is definitely one of my top 5 favorite songs. It always reminds me that I shouldn't hide who I am. I'm gay and damn proud of it, and if anyone has a problem with that, I'm going to keep my fire burning bright and burn that hate to ashes!
Happy Pride Month everyone
I was heavily bullied by others in my school for being bisexual and I had an idea. I was inspired by some wise sayings that a video game taught me when saying this to the whole school in the end of the year (about the struggle between the LGBTQ community and other people):
"what makes the difference between a story and a legend? Is it the cruelty of it’s vilains? Or the bravery of the heroes? Is it companionship; friendships forged against overwhelming odds? Or the story of a struggle, that changes the flow of time? After the details have faded into dreams, what will we remember? Ultimately it’s the tales that capture our hearts, and give us reason to hope. When the bravery of the world is greater than the forces of evil combined.. that is when legends are born."
Somehow that text alone gave me hope in my darkest times. Those quotes and this song combined are the best. Thank you Lady Gaga
Can we make this the LGBTQ+ anthem now?
Yes
We really should
it wasn't already?
YAS! 🎉
It already is
Listening to this after coming out to my bestie as bisexual. She was really casual and kind about it, and she promised she'll keep my secret. I never knew this would be such a good feeling!❤

We were born this way! You are all special!
My music teacher introduced me to this song, and I love it! 2:07 is killer!
