**Thanks to The Blazing Yveltal for letting me know that the pause menu keeps the music playing without sound effects!!**
I do not own this song, I just wanted to hear it without being in the game and figured I'd share. Wayforward owns the song and the game.
Composers for this game:
Kentaro Sakamoto
Mark Sparling
Madeline Lim
Gavin Allen
(I'm sorry I do not know who composed which songs)

Shantae and the Seven Sirens is an amazing game so far, please, if you haven't already, and you have a compatible Apple device, I highly recommend you get the free trial of Apple Arcade and play this game.
The start of the recording is where the song loops, since the start of the song is a higher volume than when the game is able to be paused. I tried to line it up as best I could. I think the loop is basically the same as the beginning anyway. Enjoy!
As a relative newcomer to Shantae, gotta say, this song is banging.
Another reason why the boss theme is changed is because. Shantae isn’t on familiar ground anymore. This is the sirens turf now, and before anyone says “but you fight Risky here” Yeah and she had to share the normal boss theme in the other games. They’re far from home now. This theme reflects that.
Así es, también ya no se encuentran remixes de anteriores soundtracks ;)
More like the fact the composer isn't the same.
AuraChannelerChris I’m saying that’s the reason why the composer was changed.
Vine Sickle
Thought the composer changed because Jake left WayForward to do his own stuff like Danny B.
Cinko515 That could be what happened but it’s still a good thought.
New composer or not, hearing a different battle theme is good for a change. You can't judge a song based on its epicness alone, this track makes things with a more serious environment.
Sure i didn't finish the game, but heck this theme is amazing in its own way.
I can tell the composer went for a sort of Mario and Luigi style boss theme, starts off dangerous and suspenseful but then changes into a more upbeat and heroic tone. Not sure if the 8-Bit parts were necessary but overall, it's a good new boss theme. I still love the original but this ones a nice fresh take for our half genie hero.
I think all of the chip tune sounds in this game were meant to harken back to Shantae on the Game Boy Color
Most Mario and Luigi boss themes are the opposite though. They start off in major key and then there's a part which switches to minor.
@@mammothplant some of the music does give me some huge Mario and Luigi vibes in terms of its style (Arena Town is a good example)
Kentaro Sakamoto (the composer of this one) did a lot of remix/rearragements of Nintendo and classic RPG themes, maybe he got inspiration of all that.
Annnnnnnnnnnd, now I want a Mario and Luigi and Shantae crossover.
If nintendo makes a new mario and luigi game without alpha dream, these people would be perfect for the soundtrack.
Nah no one can substitute yoko shimomura... she's just a goddess
To think Shantae has to deal with seven sirens... One of the Sirens is an adorable plant lady while another one is a flippin' washing machine.
And then later the next few are this:
A girl body who is stuck in a hydra-like body
A Squigly clone
A gigantic octopus who’s forehead contains a woman inside
A lobster who is friendly
The queen/leader of the Sirens
Well, the washing machine has an adorable girl inside it.
People should quit hating on the new composssser. I bet it wouldn't be a big deal if Jake was the one who made this track.
Did Jake not do the composing for Seven Sirens? If not, the new one nailed Jake's style!
He confirmed it himself at his Twitter a while ago.
This track is whack
This song makes me wanna send the teacher to detention
Bendy made it.
This is my favorite shantae boss battle theme. Also, kinda sounds like something from a mario game at 0:53
I love it. Regardless of Jake not being the composer for this game.
1:33 Sound soooo damn good!
My favorite boss theme so far. 1:25 - 2:00 is beautiful.
This is hype af
Wasn't too into this theme when I heard it at first, but the part at 1:33 won me over.
What if you wanted to breeze through the fifth dungeon, but the game said "H-H-HURRY UP!"
It's not Jake Kaufman and so what? I think the ost of this game is really good. Yeah Jake did a pretty good job for the past games but you have to give credits for the new composer. The part that starts at 1:33 is really beautiful.
+++
The part at 1:33 is what I like the most 👌
Everyone is talking about how different the boss theme is meanwhile I am trying to figure out if it is a remix of Rise and Shine(game's opening theme) or not.
Why do people hate something that’s new and different? Or would you rather have the same Shantae-fights-risky-boots-and-that’s-it kind of game regurgitated for the 10th time? I really enjoyed this game and the soundtrack as well
Hmmm, having different boss music isn't bad. I love it, especially the beginning.
@@Patricio4Christ I think that this game told a great story, had great characters and was amazing overall. While the metroidvania genre isn't exactly my favourite, the game is still pretty fun to play, though I would probably not replay it again
I really like it, especially the intro.
The startup to the song is so good
I gotta say, I could be pretty biased, but I def like Kaufman's work in the series better.
This isn't bad though, I could see this being pretty damn good in the heat of the battle.
It actually is really good in gameplay! It seems way more intense while you’re fighting.
The music does really fit the gameplay. This game has a much more Metroid kind of feel, like you spend most of the game exploring catacombs underground, so I think the music is intended to reflect that. The track I really loved was the Sunken Shipyard theme: czcams.com/video/vEAVkImUHIA/video.html
my second fav boss battle theme in the series actually, to pirate's curse. I like it better than half genie hero's
@@Slllowpoke I think it works extremely well during that section where you're running around in the core of the ship going from room to room as the timer ticks down. Extremely tense but adrenaline rushing.
I love this track and think it's a fresh take, personally
I really like this kind if music of combining chiptune and orchestra, its amazing how they pulled this of with the other songs too
And combining music from several Pokemon Games from RGY and XY/ORAS.
I wish I could Re-experience this game again
"Risky Boots!"
"So... "
I love this boss theme . Początek / first part is the best
No, jest całkiem ok
The bass at 1:14 reminds me of classic Pokemon which i love as well
Sounds like fighting underwater
Well most of the game takes place in a sunken city so...
1:35 this is where the fun begin
1:50 EARGASM
Thank You and You're Welcome. And now all is well. :)
Only from 0:00 to 0:20 track sounds good. We need jake kaufman back
this is a really great boss theme. especially the part from 1:34 to 1:50 . all i can say is , well done. this is better than the old boss theme
The best retro fighting music ever :D
Bosses
Water Lily Siren- sunbathing seaweed
Coral Siren- drills to the gills
Tubeworm Siren- parasite petting princess
Angler Fish Siren- deep sea creep
Octo Siren- right times the terror
Risky Boots
Energy Collecter MK 1-4- sun siphoning silo
Empress Siren- the seventh siren
Ultra Empress Siren- queen of the seven seas
Who's your favorite boss to battle?
I didn't play the game yet but I would have to say that my favorite boss would be the ultra empress siren
@@shaneseghetti2799 Oh OK. BTW, it's Octo Siren- Eight times the Terror. You made a typo.
Parts of this OST has Team Plasma, Xerneas/Yvatal, XY Gym Leader and Hoenn Gym Leader.
It may be the boss theme, but I associate this a lot more with the timed sequence in Squid Pit.. I died more times on that than I'd like to admit. Once to running out of time and a whole bunch cuz I wasn't watching my health. x.x
1:04 is the best part, nobody can change my mind
This is inkredible!
OH, GREAT. THE IDEA STEALER IS BACK AT IT AGAIN!
Inkredible? Something you not telling us Shantae?
@@ht82smash42 *she’s an inkling* 🦑
Ainda não tive a oportunidade de jogar esse jogo mas achei essa ost bem legal, principalmente entre 0:00 - 0:21 e 1:33 - 2:00.
Took a couple listens, but I'm sold on the music team. I think this was for the best, while I love Virt's work, it can't be good for either the series or him to keep remixing the same songs.
But the last game had an original boss theme lol
@@symphomaniac really? it sounded like they took samples and went a different direction
I like this a lot! ^_^
Imma give it a 7/10. It's good but doesn't sound intense enogh
Yeah it’s definitely not as intense as the past themes, but in my opinion it feels more intense during gameplay than listening to it isolated.
Fish Flakes your right it’s so intense in the actual gameplay
This seems way more intense than the original
Mabey not as intense but deifntly gives me cinematic vibes like the last part how great would that sound while fighting a boss?? It would feel really epic
To be fair what's going on in the story during the bosses in past games like half genie hero did not fit the intense guitar music of the older boss music. I feel like this fits the "we're gonna raise things up but let's not get too intense" vibe
This sounds like the kind of music I would hear Smash Bros Brawl. I can dig it
Kinda miss the old boss theme
HunterHQ
We cannot rely on nostalgia forever
Yeah but this fits the theme of this game better
I'm loving the soundtrack. I just bought the game last night and my god the anime cutscenes look amazing
It’s only been in 3 games
@@jonahabenhaim1223 nope it's four games, Shantae, Shantae: Risky's Revenge, Pirate's Curse, and Half Genie Hero
Honestly before this game out I didn't see much of the promotional art so when it did come out I was like, "Oh shit a new Shantae game!" So far I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Love how they went back to the metroidvania style of the older ones (especially since Pirate's Curse is my favorite of the series). As for the music, considering I loved a lot of the previous tunes, I can kinda understand what people are saying. I don't think its bad in fact a lot of the times I think it sounds really good, though I feel the 8 bit stuff is a bit overused. I mean I usually enjoy a lot 8 bit themes I mean if we're talking recent games I fucking love Shovel Knight, but for a game like this is does feel kinda odd a bit. Still like it a lot but then again I just started.
Yeah after they posted the opening by Studio Trigger, there wasn’t a ton of advertising for this game (that I saw). Pirates curse is one of my top favorite games ever so I was happy to see it go back to more of that style as well, although this one honestly has more of a Risky’s Revenge layout which is awesome. I love that’s it’s all interconnected. I understand about the music too. I’ve been listening to it so much that it’s really grown on me lol. Most of the songs. I’ll agree that the focus on 8 bit is a little odd since it was going more and more orchestral with each game until now, but it made more sense when I saw who the composer was. If remembering right, they make a ton of music with gameboys and kinda specialize in this sort of chip tune style of music. Although there are a few composers listed so I’m not sure if different people did each song or how it all worked. What I’ve noticed too is that the songs fit really really well with the game play. They match the pace of the game perfectly. Glad you are enjoying the game so far! Let’s hope it does well so we can keep getting Shantae games :)
@@Slllowpoke I can understand that, hell Shantae started out as a Game Boy Color game so it kinda makes sense. Thanks a bunch too and hope you're enjoying it too! :). That and hopefully one day Shantae will be in Smash.
How many times I hear it I can't make myself like it
I honestly like this song the most out of them all. Its well paste, goes a little bit slow here and there. But over all a great boss theme.
it's a shame how much crap people give it
@@sushiinferno5403 yeah I don't understand it either.
Gosh this game is so amazing I hope this isn’t the last game
(Spoiler)
IMO this theme fits really well in the Squid Pit more than in the boss battles.
This, that part was made a lot more intense with this music. I think it fit more with the countdown than aganist bosses tbh.
Risky boots would like to battle
@LarryLLazer XD
This is a bop ngl
i love that part 0:58
“Bathtime!”
It's a nice change from the remixed boss theme. I like it!
0:22 - 0:42 is my favorite part
Not bad, but I think it’s only problem is that it doesn’t have a strong sense of urgency like the other themes. Though that might be because it takes a little while for the theme to actually pick up and be a proper boss theme
LarryLLazer
Let me clarify then, the urgency is present in the song. My main issue is that it takes a lot longer to get to the urgency part than with other Shantae boss themes. Where as the other ones had strong hooks to get the audience in quickly, this one asks that you give it a few seconds before it takes off.
This is the most epic boss music I have ever heard and it's awesome and I love it
It's great music. But it's not really Shantae-like. Yes, it has little bits of it here and there, but this isn't the type of pulse-pounding tracks I'm used to - this is more tension than action. Like the difference between Frank Klepacki's "Workmen" and "Act on Instinct." Or "Nuclear Device" and "Hell March III."
Has Team Rocket Theme form Yellow, Magma/Aqua theme from ORAS and XY Gym Leader theme.
Finally! a NEW boss theme! I mean the other one is cool and all but.. it kinda drives one nuts eventually, in new games new music is expected, ofcourse some melodies can be iconic and keep them~
Half Genie Hero had an original theme
@@symphomaniac
It has a few changes but the rythm and melody goes quite similar enough to be confused with the first boss theme
@@cherrina44. ... it's a completely different song and melody dude
Reminds me a bit of -Dark Cloud 2- Rune Factory's boss music.
I get sort of this Infinite theme, Mega man mario galaxy feel
It kind of sounds more like a track for shovel knight (even though this track isn’t composed by kaufman)
TUBEWORM SIREN has challenged SHANTAE to a battle!
No town to burn this time, I suppose
Fun fact : well that's true kinda but armor town Is a remix of Burning town so it kinda got in :/
Theme old boss 😭
Reminds me of a pokemon theme
I mean I like the song and find it catchy but I don't find the same energy that the other. As said still like it overrall
@LarryLLazer Exactly, you word it better than me, it feels like it don't belong in a Shantae game
This is a pretty cool new take on the boss theme, but I wish it'd be a little more intense. Overall, it's pretty good to me!
! aaah now that I listen to this melody is very similar to StarFox Zero! x'D!! ''Secto Alpha'' it kinda gives me those vibes hehe, oh welp just saying CB music can be too similar at this point :'Y
Good and joy OST. Shantae, Can I make my wish?
This will make for a great boss theme for Killing Floor 2 using the simple music player.
Yeah this one sounds good in the beginning goes good but they can modify it to make it more intense for a battle for example drums or a bit of pop?
I like The Seven Sirens soundtrack but it feels weird when PC and HGH went hard and intense in their Boss themes. Although this theme fits Shantae herself better than the former 2
this still good...getting tired of 1 boss theme since the first game til Half genie. this is a good change
[New Comment]
Please can you make extended versions of these OSTs?
(especially this one)
Sounds like something out of a Mario and Luigi game.
*Mario x Shantae confirmed?*
I infact love this theme it is great but even I can say it doesnt quite fit the boss theme if shantae didnt finish off the bosses so quick then this theme would be better as a boss theme but most of the times you can finish the bosses before the urgency in the music can really settle in which doesnt make it my favorite theme of all time but once agian I still love this theme
Anyone feel like the beginning of this sounds like the boss battle theme from YS
Se siente raro como cambio el soundtrack, pero le termina gustando a uno al final.
Shantae vs Zim’s evil robot Gir (if you do not know what the show Invader Zim is it’s on my profile) (Zim left and Gir right)
Who would win
Shantae probably.
Fav Shantae boss since Pirates Curse. Never cared for 1/2 Genie boss theme.
I liked how intense HGH’s song was but I agree, I like this song better in general. Pirate’s Curse is still my favorite though
why does this sound like something I would expat from one of the first 6 FF games, legend of dragoon, KH, or xenosaga?
That begging sounds like the boss theme from m&l PiT
Sounds like it would be a pokemon champs theme
I miss the opening riff from the old games, otherwise this is pretty good
( spoiler )
when risky is the first boss
I wonder can Shantae beat the Siren Head
How to put this... I don't like it. It's alright, I guess, and I don't even care about the composer being someone else, but this OST... lacks of everything that makes Shantae so unique: it just feels like the soundtrack for any other cute-anime-girl-game. Being that all the previous games were characterized by having great arabic-esque tunes, this is just boring chiptune, appropriate for anything but Shantae. Hope not all of it sounds like this.
It's a good but it's not as metal as previous themes. I think with some guitar it could be fantastic.
more like tubeworm WIMP
Ya know, I know I’ll be kind of an unpopular opinion, but I actually like this better than the original boss theme, though the original is definitely good too.
Es curioso antes odiaba este tema porque no era un remix del anterior como Half, pero ahora me gusta mucho (* ̄▽ ̄*)ブ
Great content...check out Loudboy Tez his stuff good too
Forgetable AF
