    can you do this with a (going to be) gif-viewer when listing to music & connected to the device and have it show gif's when not in use as a screensaver?

    Hi Ryan, I have been trying to use the code you have graciously provided, unfortunately i am hitting an issue with trying to create the token which I’m assuming is down to this being 3 years old. I know it’s a big ask, but do you have any plans to revisit this project?

    Dude this is so sick, I could totally see it being a huge hit being on display at parties. Doesn't seem too resource intensive, you think you could get it running on a Pi Zero to get the cost down?

    • @rwardtech
      @rwardtech  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you so much for the feedback! I actually have created a version with a pi zero to make the build < $100. I just need to put out an updated video!

    Is this project too advanced for a first pi project? I absolutely love the idea and I have tech background I have just never soldered before!

    • @rwardtech
      @rwardtech  Před 4 lety +1

      I would give it a shot! I did not have any soldering experience beforehand. Just look up some tutorials on youtube and you will be fine.
      Also I am in the process of updating the software so hopefully it will be easier to setup :)

      @rwardtech  Před 3 lety +1

    But does it send api request multiple times in seconds? If not is it tied to a slower time loop or is it based on your spotify activity, and if so how? also if it does send multiple requests, does it get ratelocked?

    Hey Ryan - great project! Just messing around with this now. When I run python generateToken.py I get:
    Traceback (most recent call last):

    ImportError: No module named spotipy
    Any idea how to resolve this?
