Dr. Jacob Goodin is a professor of kinesiology at Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU), and holds a PhD in Sport Physiology and Performance from East Tennessee State University. He has over a decade of experience as a strength and conditioning coach and sport scientist from the high school to NCAA Division I levels. In addition to his role as a professor and research mentor, Dr. Goodin directs the Athlete Monitoring Initiative at PLNU, which provides testing and monitoring services to over 200 athletes yearly as well as research opportunities for kinesiology students.

Hello, it depends, but if they are around 5 minutes I would think that they are under 1GB, which, if you have decent wi-fi shouldn't be an issue to upload. You might try a different internet connection.

What external mic would you recommend for “on the go” ipad videos that might have background noise. I obviously dont want to be carrying around a desktop rig, but any ideas on reasonably good noise cancelling mics. As a side note, I have a very good mic noise cancelling headset (aftershockz) but it is bluetooth and the ipad defaults to the ipad mic if the external mic is not physically connected. Thx.
So, I used to use cheap lav mic usually, but TBH sometimes it sounds a little scratchy and I get feedback. Now however, I almost exclusively use my Rhode Wireless Go II kit, and it is amazing. I think it's linked down in the description.

Sure! Strength training utilizes external or bodyweight resistance to stimulate gains in muscular strength. Conditioning is a form of training that challenges the metabolic pathways of the body in order to stimulate improvements in either anaerobic or aerobic capacity, or both. Some of my other videos might be of more help on that topic ;)
Do you recommend any iPad in particular that is best for making videos and which whiteboard app do you recommend? iI this all I need to create an educational video?
Any iPad and even most other non-apple tablets would work great as long as you have a stylus. Also, I've used Notability, but since this video came out there have been loads of other great apps launched! My recommendation is to download 2-3 and pick your favorite.
Excellent video! I have a question: When I write, my microphone picks up the sound of my pencil writing on the iPad. How can I get rid of this noise?
Thank you! I record the sound on a separate device, which masks most of it. The faint "taps" that are left actually add a little bit to the video IMO, so I leave them in at that point.
Recommendation for pre writing notes on the iPad and having them come up as transitions? I don’t want to write as I am explaining. Thanks
Did you find a good way to do this? Looking for this exact solution. Would love to have my notes come up as transitions as I’m explaining. One way would be to record the notes then speed them up as you do a voiceover.
@@pressrepeat2000 I tried to record and then do the voice over but the video did not come out 'natural', in my opinion. The best option I have been using is an app called "Doceri" on the iPad. It allows you to write your notes and then add "stops" (transitions) so that the parts come out as you want. It allows you to take screen shots and add them to the app, but it doesn't allow any importing of PDF's. I use it along with Loom to make my videos accessible to students.
What video capture and editing apps do you use?
I record with my DSLR and screen capture the ipad at the same time, then I used Adobe Rush to edit.

My advice would be to use an external microphone closer to your mouth, like a lav mic.

In Adobe Rush or Adobe Premiere Pro there is the option to repair the audio, which diminishes background noise. However the best way is to make sure your environment is quiet to begin with.
