hmmm? What happened to Marco's signature Warwick "Buzzard" he uses that a lot, oh and here's just a tidbit for you, you see all those dudes and they've been with NW a long time, well I just found out from someone who just got tickets to one of their shows that your know ALL the Nightwish Merchandise and stuff, well Nightwish doesn't get a penny from it, they've set up a special fund for their techs and crew cause they haven't been working either because of COVID so they're trying to help them out too, I just think that shows who they really are.
when you wanna hear Marko on the double beast, check out My Walden at Tampere or The Islander at Tampere...
Weak Fantasy is a banger with that beast.
He doesn't play both on My Walden or The Islander. He plays both bass and guitar on Weak Fantasy and Dead boys poem.
@@ANDZIGCREAM dead boys poem from buenos aires is a must...
It was Kai. The Endless forms album was out, and he had to add a drum or two just for his playing on the greatest show. If you watch the making of that album, it shows Jukka handing Kai the keys, so to speak!
No, it's Kai Hahto. We see him standing behind the drum kit (black t-shirt and capris) just before Ulschi started to talk. Jukka used Tama drums. 😎👍
Kai uses Pearl drums , Jukku used Tama drums
Tank the Tech has done a lot of nightwish reaction videos - he always mentions the details in each one - instruments, screens, amps, lighting, special effects etc.
And we always cheer for the EV-1.
Yeah, but I have not seen this footage in his videos.
It's not about what and the age of. It Marko's sound. You have what works for you. And don't fuck with it. It's why Emppu still still uses his Ev-1 for almost 2 decades
Also Troy's Boss GT-10 is super old too, I got mine in 2009 and still use it! The great thing about those Boss effects processors in general is you could drop them off a building and it'd have a little dent in it and work fine which is perfect for taking on the road of course!
Good is Good, not always better, and they have been playing on day stuff for 26 years and if you are trusted and definitely used to it and attached to it. you don't need new stuff from China every year
Kai always goes with Pearl, Kai is a beast on drums. Tuomas always Korg. Emppu always the ESP. Marko is no longer there but he was always a Warwick guy, and he played the beast in several vids. Tampere he used it in "Weak Fantasy" and "The Islander" at Buenos Aires he was using the double neck for "Dead Boys Poem."
As I know Jukka was and still is Tama artist.
You may think it's nuts, but it is well recognised that the sound of Nightwish on stage leaves nothing to be desired. There's no reason to change technology just because it's old, if it is doing what you need of it. Change for change's sake is nuts.
Jukka stopped after the 2013 concert you see on CZcams. The 2015 concerts you see on CZcams are Kai.
Very interesting, thanks.
When it comes to sound, then yes, why change something that's good?
However, the ME-50 may be a sturdy thing from the outside, but all of the input- and output jacks are soldered straight onto the board. Just a small crack and you can basically throw the damn thing into the garbage bin.
But they're cheap, so I guess he has a couple of spares. 😁
Kai Hahto plays drums for Nightwish since 2013. Jukka is spelled "Yukka" btw. Finnish has no english "J"^^
Thank you for correcting me!
Cool video and commentary. Hopefully they'll do an updated version of this sometime.
Really interesting, thanks man!
Some other Nightwish gear introduction they also showed the little special under Tuomas keyboard set - there's a welted frame that can hold one (1) vine bottle. In some show DVDs you can see Tuomas taking a sip or giving it to another. During their tours Tuomas visits local vine producers and perhaps chooses something for his collections. Why travel around the whole f.king world if not after good vine, lol...
There was Nightwish vine few years ago, not sure does they still make it.
@@ilkkak3065 It was made for Imaginaerum, so it might be somewhere, but collectors prices... Not even in ebay by first search?
I'm shocked to see Marko's rig. Maybe I missed it, but as far as I can remember, he doesn't even use a real amp. Just a solid state pre-amp distortion and that's basically it (or straight into the DI for clean sounds). What amazes me most is the fact that despite the lack of some 'serious stuff' his bass sound stands out better than anything I've ever heard before (when it comes to bass guitar).
HOW, Marko? HOW?!?! 😳
He’s that good. 🤘🏻
Some reactors have reacted Nightwish documentaries too. There is some interesting ones. Also still recomming Amorphis to you 😉🔥
and they have been playing on day stuff for 26 years and if you are trusted and definitely used to it and attached to it. you don't need new stuff from China every year. But even a like your comments, good job
Kai Hahto, drums👍
Marco use the beast on "the islander"
watch "Weak Fantasy" from the Tampere show to see Marco playing the double neck......Kai was the drummer at that time
Marco in The Islander (Tampere Live)
No , it was not Juuka ( Founding Member ) , he had to step down due to Health issues in 2014 , it was Kai Hahto since 2015
and here you see Maco playing Hybrid Bass / Guitar thing czcams.com/video/N_jgyrlONPc/video.html
and here is the react of a warm up video of Kai Hahto , its most interresting for Drummers , maybe other musicans czcams.com/video/YAGCCUKXrlM/video.html
Jukka....Tama & Paiste.
Jukka = Tama
Kai = Pearl

Regarding the drummer, in 2015 it was already Kai Hahto, he was officially announced as the drummer in August 2014, if I remember correctly.
Thanks, really enjoyed these clips!
One thing I've always wondered. When there's a support band ahead of them, how is the gear and the risers managed?
With NW, its the typical headliner thing. They lock in their own space, arrange it just so that theres no dead space and everything is tidy and compact. then they just cover their shit with moultons and what is left is what you got.
this is fine, as long as every support act actually takes their shit offstage to dismantle or in reverse, sets up their shit offstage for loadin.
it does create some funny situations if the stage everyone has is microscopic.
in festival context, there is usually a lot of rolling risers and the stage usually have nice wings to it, enough to set up in.
@@intergalacticspacecanoe4659 Thanks, I figured the risers must roll. I've done some stage set building and we had to build sets that could be taken down or rearranged in the middle of the show. There's very little electrical to worry about though.
My job was in IT and of course cabling was a very big deal, so in my mind I mashed my theatre experience with my IT world. Then extrapolated from there that it must get "interesting" in between support and headliner sets. The FOH fires things up as the support act leaves the stage and finds that half his shit isn't working as someone in the support act kicked a cable. Must be fun sometimes.
@@billattercliffe8655 headliners shit is fixed. Support runs their own shit, excluding the pa and its wiring. System provider has a janitor present to oversee the systems so its usually a matter of popping a mixer to the house wiring or However you have arranged on your tech raider (contract bs)
Jukka... but was it after all Kai? I think colour goes better with Kai, butt... I´ll answer JUKKA. in 18.59. without google. In ear monitors...
Fuck! Did not get it right.
😊🇫🇮🤘❤️🎶🎹🎸🥁✨🤘
i had BOSS Me-20 for my guitar. very cool, but not in my taste.
One thing worth to mention is that they tune to D standard. I didnt watch video so i dont know if it was mentioned there.
Please react to japanese music!
