I know it's obvious to say, but this was less a case of Swans playing brilliantly, and more the fact that West Coast just didn't turn up.
I say that as a Swans fan btw and will remember this victory for a very long time.
I only partly agree, because regardless of West Coast, The Swans were on fire big time.
I think both have to be true. If it was just one or the other the margin would have been around 100 points. West Coast had to atrocious and the swans had to play really well to get a margin of 171.

The Swans managed to kick over 200 points even when they aren't a very good side. What is this crap from the Eagles? I understand that they have injury "stuff" going on but something really does need to happen soon, or otherwise this is going to continue. Well done Sydney, stepped up to finally do something well this season.

Sydney didn’t score as much when they are kicking to the other side (2nd and 4th quarter). If they did it consistently on all 4 quarters regardless of the wind direction then the score would be even monstrous.

As usual, (dating back to South Melbourne days) Swans don’t get the credit. It was awful West Coast, not brilliant, Sydney. Certainly wc were crap, but the boys played brilliantly and the build of self belief could easily carry on to the cats next week. 🦢🦢🦢
Cats are still really good, even with all their issues right now, and won the last 2 against the Swans by 80 points plus. Not saying that it will happen again, but the odds seem unfavourable for them.
@@zksnxtrap It depends if Sydney brings exactly the same game. Forget 200 points, but if they play the same way they did, there’s no reason they can’t beat the cats.
