Hi i'm just about to try this method with windows 10, my pc got a major BSOD :( a few days back. Iso 2 usb won't do because my iso files is 5gb (windows10_21H1_englishx64.iso build released on april i think) . To all of you out there: if your phone is Samsung android 10 (mine is A6+) or previous (?) the OTG config won't appear on any settings menu screen because it is "out of the box" which means that you only need to plug and finito! However, if for some reason your phone does not reconize or show the USB on storage and devices, you have.. in fact, you MUST format the USB (i did it on my mom's newer samsung A10, this one detected the usb and even asked me to format it quite nicely) before inserting it; otherwise notifications will drop an error like "issue with kingston usb tap to fix" but obviously it won't.

@HetmanRecovery I have samsung galaxy z fold 5 5g. Could tou please 2alk me thru this. I finally got it downloaded. Now can't figure out how to get it into a file location so I can proceed with writing from iso to whatever to work on the usb to install software back on hp laptop

Yeah, the latest version crashes after installing Ventoy to the drive - get an APK of an older version and it does the trick. Saved my Lenovo after Bitlocker mucked it up.

Sigh.. it is not as straightforward as you guys may think. Beware. With me for example, it simply does not work...... I Installed the app. Plugged my phone into the PC (using my phones charging cable to PC) and the app just says "waiting for USB". The PC pics the phone up, but the app... well does nothing.
First, make sure your phone is connected to your computer with a USB cable that supports data transfer, not just charging. Some cables that come with phones may only support charging and won't be able to transfer data.
Also, make sure that your phone has developer options and USB debugging mode enabled, as the app may not work properly without it. To enable developer options, you usually need to click on the Android version number in your phone's settings several times. This will open the developer menu where you can enable USB debugging.
@@HetmanRecovery Already have all that set. I've actually tried all the USB options to I see if it would pick up in the app. It did not pick up with any USB feature.
Furthermore, I do have developer mode active with USB debugging enabled. Which is why I wrote this. I'm convinced this app just offers poor compatibility.
All app permissions are enabled. Can't see where it is going wrong.
I'm using a Samsung A52s. It's not that old and it's far from new. Glad it works for some. But I'm proof that it won't work for everybody.
