- You have no idea how useful it is to carry around an operating system on a flash drive. It basically allows you to turn any computer into your computer. Simply by plugging in your flash drive and restarting any computer, you get your own operating system, your own files, your own apps, on that computer, and you can bypass any restrictions or time limits or any nonsense put in place on that computer because the computer is running completely off your flash drive. So how do we make this happen?

Can I use it on TV?
So to use the computer normally again do I turn it off take out the USB and will it automatically boot the OS on the pc or do I have to select it, please help
Great advice! I've been carrying around a bootable lightweight linux usb for years (Puppy linux) and it has proved invaluable several times. Very valuable tool to have. Never thought to do the same with a bootable android usb. Very interesting.

I need some help I followed all the steps and it worked but I thought it was a little slow so I loaded back up on windows 10 and wanted to install the 64 bit instead of the 32 bit but come to find out that my usb isn’t showing no more I go on further to go to computer management and format the usb now its not showing at all and remix isn’t installed no more please I need your help

Hey, I have one little doubt, so for example we use the system and do some work for example create a file, now where will that be saved? The PC or the flashdrive? And if it will be saved on the PC how is the file secure?
But... But... That's too simple and too perfect for me not to become confused and stuck with a convoluted mess! I even had my cat watch this and make a bootable OS USB Thumb Drive with persistent storage... It's too easy to get lost within the instructions... Oh, wait! I forgot "easy" is a good thing. How to download os for Android, any ideas sir
I have done that a few times, but all those 6 (at the time) times, the OS' ISO that was on the flash drive was only a trial version and had the download button to actually download the OS in that computer, which wont br portable
If the PC you try to run it on has the BIOS/UEFI settings locked you aren't gonna use it on the road by live boot, but the way around that is to boot the image in a portable QEMU install and run that instead. (I copy the folder to the new host desktop for speed then delete it afterwards.) No Administrator rights needed.

I really liked your vid on USB bootable os but I was wondering if there was a way to boot multiple operating systems on one USB flash drive e.g when you were to restart the computer you would have a choice to boot it up in which os like remix or Linux or chrome os I would really appreciate it if you made a video about this. can be done, just make other partitions , works same as you would a hard drive.

You failed to mention that the USB flash drive will be reduced to 3MB flash drive. How do I get my functioning 16GB USB back? Windows cannot format it to 16GB anymore, only 3MB.

cant you use the remix os installation tool? of course i tried this on the same exact flash drive and i was only able to get it to boot into the mode where it doesn't save anything so next time ill try win32 disk imager

None of your files were on that drive, wouldn't it just boot up to a completely new OS every time you turned it on, with none of your settings saved?
Could this work on a head unit with android? I got in dev settings and found the option to boot from USB. What do you think?

What happens if I make my choice as the persistence mode? Will the data be saved on my usb or it will install the os on my hard drive?

this is only practical for pc's you have full control of since switching the bootable source may require administrator permissions which most pc's in hotels and workplaces have. anyhow, will this work on a raspberry pi 4? if not can this be done on an sd card to insert on a raspberry pi 4 that way you don't have to switch the bootable source?
Hello Sir.I am using 4GB USB and Resident Mode is not working for me it stuck after Remix OS appeares but guest mode is running smooth.If i used 16 GB use did Resident Mode work ?
it probably doesnt work since resident mode saves stuff and the 4gb usb doesnt have enough storage so it cant save
If you have done this to said computer then how do you get back onto the network.? ie pw was saved on their os.?

Sir may I ask I have a Lenovo laptop and it is 64bit device but when I click F12 a boot setting pop up one said “sand disk 64GB” and “ sand disk Cruz for” I try clicking both of them but but just bringing me back to my normal window what should I do I install everything you said to in the video but still does not work pls help!
