Plot:
The story is about the critical role of Timmarusu (Gummadi) played during the reign of Sri Krishnadevaraya (NTR). The story begins with the pattabhishekam of Sri Krishnadevaraya. Before the function, he participates in the dance and music function of Chinna Devi (Vijayalaxmi). They get married and becomes his first queen. After coronation, Timmarusu arranges the marriage with Tirumala Devi (S. Varalaxmi) daughter of Srirangapatnam kingdom. Timmarusu slaps him on the cheek to remind him about the kickbacks while seating on the crown. He plans to attack Gajapati of Kalinga kingdom lonely. Knowing about this Timmarusu reaches Kalinga and protects him. Prataparudra Gajapathi (Mukkamala) wanted to kill him with the help of his son Veerabhadra Gajapathi (Prabhakar Reddy). However his daughter Annapurna Devi (Devika) openly opposes it and loves him. In a political dialogue, Prataparudra agrees to marry his daughter to Krishnadevaraya. After the marriage, he plans to kills him. With the help of Timmarusu he comes out of danger. They reach the Hampi with Rani Annapurna Devi along with Hamvira (Lingamurthy). Annapurna gives birth to Tirumala Raya. Hamvira creates differences between Krishnadevaraya and Timmarusu and kills Tirumala Raya. He convinces Rayalu that Timmarusu is the culprit. The court on the instructions from Rayalu orders to make him blind and imprison him. Before Rayalu Knows the fact, the punishment is implemented. However Timmarusu pardons him and their relationship continued.

The climax of the movie is not the exact reflection of the original Vijayanagar history. Timmarusu, during the last stage of his life, died in Tirupati in abject poverty by begging. He refused support from Krishnadeva Raya after Raya blinded Timmarusu and his family by believing in the false rumours of the Gajapathis. Timmarusu never took up his Prime Ministerial position after he was blinded by Raya as portrayed in the movie. Did the director of this movie take cinematic liberty so as to not to disappoint the general audience by showing the climax in an alternate way?
kannadiga timmarasu was killed by telugus in pennukonda ,,,interenet has damaged dignity of congress and Telugu people ,,.. truth prevails , this is internet age , newspapers books are not the only source of information , people can search truth very easily . by cooking fake stories telugu people across world will loose there dignity u people will become cheap , i want support of tamilians , hindi and other non telugu people plz do some research interenet has made things easy … ..telugu historians say telugu ashtadigajjas were in court of krishnadevaraya , lets see there period krishnadevaraya ; 1479 - 1529, tenali rama dob ; 1514, alasani peddanna dob ; 1550, dhurjati dob ; 1536, ramarajubhushanadu: 1602…. these are the dates which is acceptable by all historians including telugu historians they dont have other choice bcz the same dates are documented in many refferences . so when krishnadevaraya died tenali rama was just 15 years old , and other ashtadigajjas were not born when krishnadevaraya was alive . its very clear these astadigajjas were in court of aliya ramaraya and other aravidu kings court, tenali rama relatives openly told in interview tenali rama was in aliya ramaraya court . telugu historians want to push all telugu historical people 60 years back why they are trying to do so ? mahamantri timmarasu hindupura inscription is easily accesible plz search in shodhaganga where timmarasu had made land grants , in inscription it is very clear mahamantri timmarasu was kannada kula hoysala brahmana , even in anantpura inscription he calls himself as hoysala brahman . i have the inscriptions pics and can share shodhaganga inscriptions link all inscriptions are translapted to english plz give me u share ur email adress . ur annammacharya was born in 1468 not 1408 but telugu historians want to push him 60 years back , bcz annammacharya keertanas and suladis were translated to telugu from kannada . annamacharya is a good translator all those works were written in kannada by sripaadaraja , vyasa tirth , purandara daasa and kanaka daasa ,,, after capturing andra region from orissa kings to spread vaishnavism in andra kannada literature of haridaasa was translated to telugu . so for telugu people its the matter of prestige they dont want be identified as copy cats so they want to push annammacharya before shripaada raja and vyasa teerta . annamacharya wife timmakka who wrote aubhadra kalyanam was 15 th century telugu female poet . and achyuta raya inscription of 1938 mentions he gave donation to annammayya son pedda tirumalachar , and gp shukla who preserved annamacharya copper plates tells annamacharya period is 15 th century not 1408 . and annammacharya grandson talapakkam chinnanna clearly mentions in his literary work that purandara daasa and annammaya met in tirupati if this is true purandaradasa accepted vaishnamism and became a saint in the year 1518 so annammayya was alive then. there are no ashtadigajja mantapa in hampi but we can see vyasateerta ,purandara kanaka and other kannada scholars poets mantapa … so why telug historians want to push all there historical people period to 60 years back , its bcz of telugu shamefull history which destroyed 400 years glorius hindu kannada empire in just 20 years . krishnadeavaraya after winning andra region from orissa kings he wanted to gain telugu people support he wanted to win there hearts as a king , and he wanted to protect hinduism against muslim invaders , so he supported telugu chieftains and nayaks he gave his daughter in marriage to aliyaramaraya , after krishnadevaraya death his brother achyuta raya was made king and even he was efficent ruller after achyuta raya death his son sadashiva raya was made king who was a minor .. but aliya ramraya had greed for power. timmarasu supported sadashiva raya , so mahamantri timmarasu was obstacle for aliyaramaraya to become a king ,,,, aliya ramaraya gained support of gandikota nayaka pemmasani naidu and other telugu provinces ,, son in law was treated respectably by all in the palace .. mahamantri timmarasu and kannada king sadashivaraya was chained and arrested while sleeping and gandi kota pemmasani army took control of the palace , sadashiva raya and timmarasu were sent to pennukonda jail and were killed .. kannadigas opposed this civil war broke between telugu and kannadigas in hampi .. aliya ramraya kicked out all kannadigas including rajaguru vyasa teerta and kannada poets from hampi . kannada provinces which were under vijayanagara empir became independent ,, aravidu dynasty rule begins so telugu part starts here .. muslim rulers who were quiet for 400 years got oppurtunity rakkasa tangadi war started aliya ramaraya went with his new inexperienced tleugu army and was defeated easily .. telugu people aliya ramaraya relatives soldiers didnt have bondage with hampi bcz it was a new place they took all wealth and went back to there respective regions leaving hampi as disputed place .. from pennukonda aliya ramraya successor started ruling ,, so tleugu historians want to hide this shamefull hsitory , so they want to push 60 years back by linking tleugu historical people to krishandevaraya and saluva narasimha they want to merge with kannada hsitory … all these ashtadiggajjas , amukta malyada its fake cooked up story .. to edit there shame full history ..telugu people keep quiet dont exagerate and downgrade kannadigas with fake stories , truth is different ,,, whole world will know the truth if telugu people continue to claim kannada history ..
