    For deep holes, another fix is to cut a slot in the back of the driver bit with a hacksaw or dermel, and use a flat-blade screwdriver

    Wow cmos 80186 cpu thats like the 80286 minus the protected memory functions but has multiple I/O components and support components on die that would have required a bunch of chips. Also that chip are highly debugged and designed for critical functions. Not sure if Intel still makes them, huge in military applications. The MUL instruction is significant faster than the 8086 since its no longer microcode based.

    Thanks, Does biomedical power supply have lower leakage current compared to customer general power supplies? any differences in the power supplies. What components are causing leakage current in switching power supplies? Biomedical equipment has multiple isolation grounds, does using more isolated ground lower the leakage current? How do you test the leakage current if you can't disconnect the biomedical equipment that is plugged into the AC outlet, you have to use a "point to point" safety analyzer to measure leakage current this way but i don't know how to put my probes, One probe on the outside chassis of the biomedical equipment and the other end goes where to measure leakage current? Safety analyzer manuals say that leakage current is an AC current and DC current is this true its both AC and DC? The AC ground cord resistance can be high and still the leakage current is measure the same in microamps, so the AC cord ground resistance doesn't affect the leakage current in my opinion, any reasons why?

      I have never compared the data of medical and non-medical P.S.
      If you are interested in that matter, you should consult the website of Delta Power or Astec. The make everything and they have datasheets online.

    What are the most common parts to fail and replace in defibllators?

    • @PlaywithJunk
      @PlaywithJunk  Před 5 lety

      Well... I don't repair these things. But from what I find in the dumpster, I would say the batteries. Most medical devices must be replaced before they fail. They have an expiration date....

    Hi …how does a Defibrillator or AED operated in Battery mode with battery. Voltage 7.2volt or 9 volt or 12 volt battery able to produce very high voltage pulse of 3000 Volt … what is the circuit or component helping to achieve this.. can you explain

    • @PlaywithJunk
      @PlaywithJunk  Před rokem

      In the same way as all voltages can be stepped up to any desired high voltage. You need to make AC voltage from DC and then use a transformer or coil to get a higher voltage.
      Just google "step up converter schematic" and you'll find many examples.

  • @billwilliams6338

    What is the difference between measuring the ground leakage compared to the chassis leakage, they are both very different measurements. The safety analyzers manual says when you reverse the polarity of the AC cord outlet you have to "pause" before reversing the polarity of the AC outlet, any reasons why you have to "pause" its AC and the power supply will convert it to dc. But the manual says that motors or loads will reverse the voltage and current and damage the equipment. Reversing the polarity of the AC outlet shouldn't do anything since the internal power supply to the device under test will not care i would think.

    Do you know why biomedical equipment has leakage current in the microamps, where is these leakage current coming from or components that cause leakage current?

    • @PlaywithJunk
      @PlaywithJunk  Před 5 lety

      Every mains powered device (with switched power supply) has leakage currents. Medical devices are designed to have extremely low leakage. That's why many medical devices are battery powered to prevent leakage completely.
      The reason is in the power supply and the RF filtering and EMI compliance. Most power supplies have small capacitors across the transformer (from primary to secondary) to reduce electrical noise but these also produce some leakage. So it's a balance between simple design, EMI/RF compliance and safety.
      And all the medical devices which are mains powered have a large diameter grounding connector. Any leakage current will be grounded so that it doesn't flow through the patient.
      Additionally all the electrodes that get in contact with the patient are separated from the main circuit by optocouplers or other insulating devices.
