After reviewing the iconic Explorer shape it is time for the Epiphone Flying V Ebony, part of the Inspired by Gibson Collection. It has a lot to offer with the upgraded CTS pots, ProBucker pickups and specs modelled after the original 1958 Flying V.

I didn't realise that Epiphone made a Flying V, I have a 2018 Gibson V and it's honestly the best thing ever, though I'm the only guitarist I know who actually likes playing V style guitars, they really are a niche, but they look amazing.
Yeah they are not for everyone. They re-introduced these back in 2020
Epiphone once OWNED Gibson ,just saying...................
Got one this weekend as a beginner ( I have another epiphone and a start) thought I made a mistake but I really like it , it sounds good and I don’t find it uncomfortable at all my left forearm burns a bit but that’s no problem
great breakdown! subbed!
I'm glad u like it
Great review! Thanks
I am glad you liked it :>
Great vid and great review. I have the Inspired By Explorer. Got it in 2020 during covid lockdown. I have fallen in love with it. I even love the pickups enough to keep them. They really give off that Kill em All sound as well as a lot of early Thrash. It's my No. 1 hardtail axe. My number one is a Schecter Sun Valley Super Shredder in surf green. Im gonna get the V. You sold me. It definitely soi ds like it will give me that early Thrash Metal sound. Subbed and liked.
The explorer is crazy good value for money
Hi Foxy!
Just wanted to say 'Great Guitar Show mate's.
Only just found your CZcams guitar show and I'm liking it very much and catching up with All your past and latest Videos!
Well done mate. Keep them coming!! You've got a new fully subscribed Fan. Who like yourself is a guitar freak! Refreshing to find your show and its content. Now a regular watcher. Had to write and show you my appreciation. Kindest Rgds Mick Hill ( Wolverhampton).
Thank you, Mick, glad you like it! I will try to keep up the good work 😳
We all need a V
I have the Amos epiphone and it's my best looking guitar!
Great job
I had some inspired by gibson epiphone
And they Great
Which one did you have 👀
The fact that the first riff that he played was creeping death 😂
Well yeah 🤣
I want one to play southern rock n blues on . They sound really good it's just the shape that throws people off . I sit like I'm playing classical guitar when I play a v and it doesn't bother me that way or standing up. For some reason the neck pick-up sings with rich sustain with its own unique tone. Hey Jimi Hendrix played one
Yeah and the pickups are good for rock and blues, not too harsh.
Im getting this to play standing up so hopefully it'll work well for that, still a few months till i can afford it tho
Good choice! You will get it, man. Cherish those moments.
i would love to see you review a Dean V for comparison one day, there are very few proper reviews of Dean Vs.
I will do my best, eventually
Don't these normally come with medium jumbo frets?
Yep, medium jumbo. If I said something else its a mistake. Thats why I include the official specs in my videos ;)
(If I had waited 1 minute I would've seen even you pointed it out so good job me) Interesting way to hold a V but whatever works man
Has to fit the camera frame ;)
@@GeorgeVGuitars but it's kinda neat to see someone hold it that way, like that's why those rubber grips are on there so it's cool. I like your videos though, you kinda remind me of Trogley. :)
@@RedDed228 Trogly, but without the money and hot chicks :/ 🖤 I am gad u like it man
@@GeorgeVGuitars he had to start from somewhere too, bro. You're gonna get there, just keep on making good content and you'll be there. I promise you!
@@RedDed228 Thanks man. Im already there, because im not doing it for money and views. It's about doing what you truly enjoy. 🖤
I wish it didnt that grip thing on the bottom
You can remove it I guess
Dont think I could use one, no way im having a guitar between my legs and it looks like its sliding while youre playing it..
Yep, it's sliding. its ok for playing standing up though.
@@elevenAD I have tried one of these 120 Anniversary V and SG a couple of years ago. They were great and the 12th fret inlay is cool.
I purchased a cheap gibson knock off Flying V 8 years ago and i remember it being so weird to play sitting down but after a few months i realized that there are many benefits to playing a V sitting. Now i could not imagine not owning at least one Flying V, i love em! I have since purchased a Flying V 120th anniversary and im really thinking of snagging one of these in green!
@@GeorgeVGuitars The 120 is a great guitar and i still have the HarleyBenton Copy, it took some work but it is also a great guitar at this point, love em both!
@@elevenADwhat benefits specifically? Im about to buy this guitar so i wanna know everything before purchase
Is it made in China or Indonesia?
China
@@GeorgeVGuitars okay. I ve ordered it last month, its supposed to deliver next week.
