- The Force 1.0 is a fully automated DMX lighting controller. The light show you just witnessed was created in real time by a combination of audio analysis / processing and advanced A.I. driven effects generation. No programming!
In this demo, two of the popular Chauvet DJ GigBAR Move fixtures are being controlled in MAX mode with no additional user configuration settings.
Additional control options such as Color Hold Mode (where you can specify unique colors to use across the entire fixture and switch between combinations at will), will be demonstrated in other videos, along with many other features.
Yeah, that's a game changer right there. I own some of the original gigbar IRC and I never liked them all that much but starting out it was all I had some years ago. Those are the most unprofessional all-in-one when using it in auto mode function. I know those are the updated version with moving heads. Impressive show I've ever seen with those type of gigbars. It looks like somebody programmed them.

Hi Eddie! We are just about to start uploading a bunch of tutorials showing how to create/save Fixture Profiles with our app (beta release). The app will allow you to create profiles for any DMX fixture. The Gigbar Move is unique but I plan to upload video(s) sometime soon showing how to handle those types of multi-fixture products. As the app progresses we’ll be able to generate those profiles on our side and make them accessible publicly so you won’t have to worry it.

Hi Guys, so I have my Force 1.0 and I have a Gigbar ILS. I have the DMX profile loaded and basically working but can I ask did you make any special changes for this setup. For example DMX fixture group numbers and the Channel group assignments. Thanks in advance, I know you guys are probably super busy right now.
Hi David. Absolutely. A lot comes down to personal taste so what is "correct" in our minds may not be the right decision for you, all subjective!
In this video we used two GigBAR Move fixtures so I'll provide feedback based on the GigBAR ILS.
The first thing I would personally do is to make sure the Laser and the Strobe of the GigBAR ILS aren't active during slower subtle slower moving effects. This is done in the DMX Universe editor page of the App. For the "FLASH" (strobe) sub fixture you would set the "Strobe or Blinder Fixture" column to "YES". For the Laser sub fixture you would set the "Active During Mood" column to "No".
In addition, I would likely also disable the Derby's during the slower subtle moving effects as well. Derby's aren't Strobe or Blinder fixtures but if you set the "Strobe or Blinder Fixture" column to "Yes" for these, then the Force 1.0 will turn them off during those subtle slow moving effects, whether your in Mood mode specifically or the Force 1.0 transitions to it automatically.
If you do all of the above, then your GigBAR ILS will be configured as close as possible to how we configured the GigBAR Move fixtures in this video. Hope that helps!

I'm having a go at creating a DMX profile in the software for a Gigbar but not sure how to setup the Derbys. The options for the channel are "000 Stop. 001-127 Rotate clockwise, slow to fast. 128 Stop. 129-225 Rotate counterclockwise, slow to fast." If I'm not mistaken I think I would want the Force 1 to control all of that so I should set it to stop but what option would this be to disable? Is it an Internal function or a Movement Macro?
Absolutely, you'd want the Force 1.0 controlling all of that. In this case, you would want to assign a Dynamic Channel to the motor rotation control of the Derby. Since there are no pre-defined "Derby Motor Control" options in the dropdown box, at least for now in the current beta version of the App, you can select "Other-Dynamic". The Gigbar and other multi-fixture type lights require treating each individual fixture (PARs, Moving Heads, Derby, Laser, etc) as independent fixtures. Hi, I am a mobile DJ near Edinburgh in Scotland. I have recently added to my lighting package with some Chauvet wash and gigbar move. I was trying to get my head round DMX control for everything, well I know how DMX works but programming a lightshow is proving problematic. I would LUV to buy an A.I. Force 1.0. Appreciate the interest! We are currently working furiously on a major upgrade that we hope to deploy at the end of March. That’s also the time we are planning to open up sales with our second production run.
We accumulated all user feedback from our first round and used that to drive development improvements for the upgrade mentioned above. I’d love to ship demo units out to all those interested but we are a small company and couldn’t possibly accommodate all of those requests. (There’s been a lot!).

Shutter on the left moving head on the second bar appears defective.
Very good eye! There wasn’t any issue with the light source or shutter but there was an issue with the motor drive and gearing. It tended to slip and was not pointing precisely where it was being commanded. This resulted in the beam being directed away from the camera so you can’t see it very well.
It was a rental and so we get what we get!
for some reason my pars on my gigbar move wont come on but everything else looks great
That was an error in the fixture profile. Correction sent your way.
what addresses you put on the gig bar?
I don’t remember to be honest. I know we had the GigBar in 35 channel mode. If I was setting this up today I’d likely just assign the first one to Address 001 and the second to Address 036. It really makes no difference so long as the controller knows what they are addressed to and the addressing guarantees that no channels from one fixture are overlapping into another fixture’s channels within the same DMX Universe.

Would this work on a laserworld el900 rgb?
Yes it would. I just confirmed after reviewing the 9-ch DMX personality listed on the spec sheet for the laser. No problem.
