Challenge: Get hardcore kids to run in a circle
Difficulty: Extreme
You think they'd know how to. It's pretty self explanatory lol
I don’t even run in circles- I just do big stomps and somehow I’m still faster than everyone 😂
Crossover shows are so much more fun with circle pits AND hardcore dancing, I can't get with that gaping space in front of the band shit.
Cardio exited the pit like 20 years ago unfortunately
Am i the only one who hates hardcore crowds?
Brutal Death Metal band plays for Hardcore crowd with lights on.
Hardcore shows always have the lights on because they care more about being seen (and being scene) than the actual music.
@@psycoldyes.
@@psycold this is the most sour metal guy thing ive ever read in my life, well done
Is there an actual reason the lights are usually on? @@rondomane
@@psycoldyour are asstalking kid, ive been to a 1000 hardcore and metal shows, never seen one with the lights on...yeah in the sun on a festival...
Sold out Arena level death metal legends play local rec hall for 300 hardcore kids. Thats why these dudes are awesome.
I think there was over 5,000 people there, the pit being at the front of the stage makes it seem a lot smaller
@@ChainChomp122ballroom capacity at the jcc is under 1k. I think fya sells around 800 passes for the whole weekend.
For Dying Fetus to support Hardcore speak volumes of how open minded they are. That is one of the foundations Hardcore was built upon, " being open minded " I think it's wonderful to see them play and also it's bringing metal and Hardcore fans together. Nothing can ruin a show more as to who thinks they own the pit. Either have one for metal fans or one for Hardcore fans but the coolest ones I've seen is all of sharing. The push pits go hard they take a break and the Hardcore pits go hard, it's should be on love and we all should shake hands. We are not fighting skins like we used to. No need for unseccary tension
@@Broimsatan go to a kruelty show based on that description thats pretty much what my experience was
@@spiritofthetallhills2037 I'm not sure what you mean before I found cross not accusing you but i really can't stand when I read comments when someone is a complete smart hiding behind a screen. Trying to get a more clear picture of your words? I'm 44 man. I've seen artists tour with completely opposite genres of music. That's because if you respect Hardcore then you have to be open minded and respect others opions

💯😂
"If dying fetus ain’t throwing a fit bout the hxc dancing why should u? Df been wanting to play a crowd like this for ages they doin a side quest they been wanting to do for a while"

They’re siding with the Stormcloaks instead of Imperials in this playthrough
How does that band still play these shows for us? Blows me away… they are living legends, career spans a lifetime. As gifted as they come…. And still play smaller venues for us metalheads!!! Love live Dying Fetus!!!!
I defenitly agree. Well said comment friend
Saw them with Terror a couple years ago in Louisville. They brought the fuckin house down!
@@metalheadhobo1what's even funnier about you seeing them with Terror is I saw terror back in the day with John (Dying Fetus's guitarist and vocalist) as their touring guitarist.
@@thatsameenergy that's badass!
Dying Fetus embracing their hardcore fanbase is the most beautiful thing ever.
You can see how much the guitar player is loving it and having fun pkaying
This is why they're the greatest band around
The other way around as well, some of their riffs are indistinguishable from a lot of what current hardcore bands are doing. Genre lines are getiing blurry and I'm all for it!
@@ndSpaz you said it brother, I'm from a pretty rural part of Europe and the scenes are too small so not only do you support your local death metal and hardcore bands, but even your local goth or punkrock bands. Probably the main reason why I love this so much. But you nailed it with your comment.
It's just insane beat-down hardcore
They sound so huge for a trio. Damn
That's the superpower DF has that other trios just can't compete with.

DF's sound guy here; shout out to Bryan for really nailing the mix on this. The bass and guitar are really equal elements with this band and he really saw that and nailed this mix. Thank you for your work brother!
Their sound guy is amazing. I've seen them in a club smaller than this and it was spot on.
Oh shit youre the sound guy! Great job 😂😂
@@adampilarski201🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
How do they get that doubled stereo guitar sound?
@@danielbradley6473If I had to guess, they probably use an A/B/Y box which splits the guitar signal into two so you can send it to two different amps
That In the Trenches breakdown legally qualifies as inciting a riot

For sure their best Song IMO it literally makes u go apeshit
Best song of theirs to me

Just good wholesome tunes for good wholesome people. Love this band.
So true my brother in Christ........
insane how the bassist does the taps n sweeps n shit jus like the guitarist
While singing. How tf he did that?
@@didhasalim2686maybe he learned a thing or two from Geddy Lee
@@didhasalim2686because if you are a bass player - you can tap wherever you want. Not a single soul will hear a mistake.
He basically takes on the rhythm guitarists role, along with holding the bass down
@@user-wh9jy2ch5v they're fucking pro's, man... do you think the word "mistake" ever comes to their minds?!
This setlist is one big Hardcore Kid fan service set. They must have hand picked these just for the crowd. Love it
Love your comment brother. Dying Fetus has proved how open minded they are. To have them on our side is something we should all be grateful for. Take care my friend
Trey talked about it on Hardlore and confirmed that they did that. perfect setlist for this fest
Wrong one to fuck with and Subjected to a Beating needed to be in there, if yall are hardcore fans go give those songs a jam! You will thank me later!
just heard the last song lol WOTFW is the closer my bad
This is the most uncoordinated karate tournament I have ever seen. Trophies for everyone.
Underrated comment.
😂
Tampa best dancers took a breather for this set 😂
In this hardcore setting this music becomes even more brutal.
Yes it does...I've witnessed it alot and choose this in my life!!😂
And in this setting we are surrounded by posers trying to out dance each other instead of watching the band!! 🤦🏼
What's does this even mean? @@timsunderland5153
@@timsunderland5153 who cares, these "posers" know how vibe into it, and had something that metalhead don't, FUN

18:00 I liked his “Bleh!” Better
saw them playing in front of 10k people, main stage, open air at Brutal Assoult in czech republic, they could be chillin', only playing shows like that with the status they have, but no... just shows that they are in it for the music and the scene, and I respect the shit out of it
This is probably the first time some of the people in the crowd have ever seen someone sweep pick on a bass
or ever heard tritones lol
The bass is ridiculous hahaha
Saw DF last year, incredible performance. Met the drummer Tre beforehand, had a nice chat , really nice guy
Also, kinda surreal seeing a DF with lights on haha
😂 the first thing I thought was THE FN LIGHTS ARE ON?! Different times
@@nice.try.garrett8264 that's hardcore for you though

Kevin Talley was their best drummer.....
This might be the most brilliant combination ever of a festival booking decision + band setlist
Truely iam not surprise ,dying Fetus is deathmetal with 90s hc groove
Nice to see hardcore kids and metal heads enjoying this show together 🤘🏻
@Spinetap there are some feeling it, some don't. Some might be confused, because normally Dying Fetus is not playing shows with lights on ;)
@@Spinetap I think it's mostly because of the wild 'moshing' in front of them, if you're at the front you're more paying attention trying not to get hit, so headbanging is not a priority😂
Hardcore kids a nuisance.
dude😅 metal kids n HC kids have been getting along for over 20 years.... you're obviously young cuz back in the 90s?
dude punk/HC kids and Metal dudes were MORTAL enemies u could NOT have both types of bands play shows together, too many fights dude.
Best 3 piece in existence
nails was up there too
dystopia exists
Agreed! How do they pack that much sound from a 3 piece? The change of tempos and riffs are beautiful…. So skilled it’s sickening!! And with two vocalists? Gtfoh

I fucking LOVE Dying Fetus!
Me too!
Always have always will
They’re probably the best classic band still active
this has to be the best ever live mix and tones, its crazy
It's just amazing watching this two worlds living together: old school death metal and hardcore!!!
don't forget these dudes were featured in a South Park episode "GET ME OFF THIS FARM "!! LOL
i thought that was ingested?
@@hughneutron5303 first song at the fair was Useless Sacrifice by Death Decline then later on at rehearsal they used Second Skin by Dying Fetus.
Hate this farm! I hate this farm!
This is such an important moment happening in high definition - this band being thrown at hardcore kids right now is gonna change everything - been in love with dying fetus for decades but seeing this is incredible,
Legendary moment
They have been playing with HC bands and do shows in the hardcore scene since they started. Wonder why this is thought of as something new? They have even stated before they are influenced by HC.
@@rottenroth not saying they’re behavior as a band is new I’m saying having Dying Fetus on Hate5six when all these more metal influenced bands with hard breakdowns are at the top of the game right now, it’s going to push a lot of hardcore kids who don’t necessarily know Dying Fetus into extreme Metal which is only a good thing.
The old school death metal/hardcore crossover has been happening for years, it’s not really anything new.
The vibes, the crowd's energy, insane.
Having seen dying fetus twice, once headlining for a younger deathcore crowd, and once headlining with a full traditional death metal bill, I can confidently say that this crowd is the crowd that these songs were written for.
I saw the video angle from the other side of the stage a few days ago. The sound quality on this side of the stage is much better!!! Thank You @hate5six for getting such SLAMMING footage!
Wholesome set. Everyone's all smiles and having fun. That's what metal is about man!
Next step up cover is crazy. I couldn’t picture a more perfect cover lol fits so well for them
It’s on one of their older albums Grotesque impalement
Dying Fetus are truly the godfathers of deathcore. Although they are widely considered brutal death metal and they are, I feel like they brought the hardcore and death metal together long before it was an actual thing.
10:55 bruh
Thanks for all you do. Sick set!
Great performance from one of the best DM bands 🤘
I've looked for Live DF videos over the years but none have hit this hard. Thank you!!!
These guys still beat everyone’s ass for miles. Harder than any modern day hardcore band. Show respect
Maryland's finest death metal brought to the sunshine state cheers!
Maybe I'm wrong I don't know but it's just my opinion that The beauty of aggressive music whether it's the metal side the hardcore side the punk side whatever it is the beauty of these live shows is that it captures the euphoria and happiness brought on by getting it all out just venting through the music dancing jumping around and that shared bond between those that partake. This is such a great example with fetus at a hardcore show because some of these kids have no idea what's hitting them and some of the others have a total idea of what's coming but regardless of your resume and how many shows you've been to or bands you've been in everyone is sharing that same vibe and it's so sick like no other scene out there.
great sound, and always amazing how tight this powerhouse plays. 3 people, every beat smacks.
Sunny, you're a legend for this! Thank you from the bottom of my heart
death metal legends playing a hall for hardcore kids. thats pretty dope you got to admit it. they brought crowbar, dying fetus, all out war...id like to see them keep bringing metal acts as much as they show hardcore. Who doesnt love metal?
Best brutal death metal 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😅
The audio on this is pretty fire 🔥 thanks for sharing.
Listening to Dying Fetus while dancing to Hatebreed!
😂
Fuck yes, thank you for the upload! Such a great band to see live.
These guys are so freaking talented and it shines so well in this setting. Love it.
Love the whiplash type vocals the bassist has!! This bands always ripped. Loved them before they started leaning towards hc shows in the last 5-8 years.
IT FINALLY DROPPED THANK YOU SUNNY!
Can't wait for the pushpitters to get here and say "Not in my pit." 😏
something about hardcore dancing with dying fetus heals my soul
Not in my pit... You're welcome 😊
Not my pit.. but fun to watch 😅 🤘 Im just not trying to get kicked in the head by a local karate kid
0:36 when you finished your shift at Wendy’s just in time for the dying fetus set 😂😂 no time to change

Me after finishing working at funzone(RIP) went straight to Crazy Donkeys Bar at farmingdale(RIP) since it was only a few minutes away haha. Had to change the funzone shirt to black shirt and still wear my khakipants. That when i saw Suffocation the first time along with Whitechapel, Decrepit Birth, Veil of Maya. Good times.
dying fetus with hardcore pits is the most brutal things i've ever seen
One of the best death metal bands of all time playing a hardcore show like this is just so fuckin cool. I mean this fucking rules.

They really put together the perfect set for this crowd.
Amazing, much love from Turkey
Hardcore is an ethos across so many genres. It's beautiful to see.

Best brutal death metal
I always felt that DF had such Hardcore riffs and feels and this just made it make sense.
Groovy Hardcore 90s vibes.
Check knuckle deep out, members of dying fetus old hardcore band
Music of champions !!!
Glad to see the guy who film the first live video of this concert lol
dying fetus playing with hardcore bands is a dream come true
This sounds amazing!!
now we just need my favorite nydm band since i was 16 to play a hardcore show....... skinless!! i can imagine the mayhem. i love this
I like how they have to keep the house lights on the entire show due to the unknown happening with the lights off
Damn that must have been some great pit action to get trey extending the intro to compulsion 🤘
Man, thinking back to the 00's it was rare to see death metal bands play with hardcore bands. It's cool to see the two crossover these days.
Not really. I remember when deathcore first became big in the mid to late 2000s seeing lots of mixed death metal and hardcore lineups. Sounds of the Underground and Summer Slaughter were always two big tours that happened every year that had a mix of death metal and hardcore/metalcore/deathcore bands.
I’ve seen DF many times , at Wacken Open Air and small clubs in Berlin, always solid 🤘🏽
Man i can smell the room
Look forward to seeing them in May. 3 piece mayhem. 🤘🤘
Absolutely love this band and i love they still look out for the hardcore scene.
This is fire they showing mad love to the og’s

Dying Fetus is the band that every hardcore band wants be. They're aggressive and heavy, and they're just doing their own thing.
but they arent hardcore
@@idiotshittiot If you're talking musically in terms of sound, I would argue that the Hardcore sound today is far from the original sound that it once was. It's diet metal or metal lite. There's no denying that Hardcore leans more metal.

SLAM! SLAM! SLAM!
Great live band, seen the here in Australia. Kicked arse!!!
Thank you
Man this is glorious

Harder than hardcore
DF always had those hardcore influences and breakdowns in their music. One of the reasons I love them and have been listening to them since I was in my early teens (now 40) and have seen them many times through the years. Always loved that they played smaller venues. Also the fact they have been a powerhouse 3 piece since 08’ says a lot about them. Awesome to see these kids go sick for them !! Respect ✊
Hell yeah love these guys!!!
