- The third in a series of videos produced by the DILG in partnership with UNDP, under the CMGP Program, Episode 2 discusses the third step in local road construction, in particular, PCCP preparation.

Kung alam natin ang mga ito, makakatulong tayo sa pagsisiguro na maganda ang kalidad ng mga proyekto sa ating bayan, at ng local road network sa buong bansa. Sama-sama nating alamin na ganito ang tama!

Using rebars would make the roads more durable, especially as it is difficult to prevent overloaded trucks from using the roads. Why does the Philippine government not apply international standards in their specs, especially on national highways?
Concrete roads should last 40 to 60 years, but here in Mindanao the national highway barely lasted 20 years. Some local concrete roads barely last 6 months due to contractor incompetence, nepotism and corruption.
1.) Ano pong range Ng slump ang pasado?
2.) Saan po nanggagaling ang concrete mix, inoorder commercially by the contractor o sa dpwh batching plant Lang?

The mixture should produce workable concrete having a slump of between 40mm and 75mm if not vibrated or between 10mm and 40mm if vibrated.
The Contractor must usually own and manage his own batching plant, complete with quality control testing equipment and technician. "They are free to outsource as long as they provide beam samples (to be cured and tested).

Hello sir king lalagayan ng tie bar at dowel bar and pccp ilang meters po dapat ang RSB? At sa isang span ilang tie bar at dowel po ba dapat ang ilalagay?

Ang haba ng Tie (Deformed Bars) at Dowel Bars (Plain Round Bars) ay parehong 600mm.
Pagdating naman sa bilang ng Tie at Dowel Bars ay mag dedepende sa magiging spacing nito halimbawa ang Tie Bar spacing ay 750mm, ibig sabihin sa isang span o block (4.5m) 4500mm/750mm= 6 pirasong Tie Bars ang magagamit.
Gayun din naman para sa Dowel Bar depende sa magiging spacing, para malaman ang spacing base sa kapal ng pavement tignan ang DPWH DO 40 s2014 at DO 32 s2016.

Hello po pwedi po malaman kung need b na malagyan ng bakal o hindi na yung concrete at kung mayroon man gaano po kalaki yung diameter ng bakal at paano po yung spacing nila? gaano po kalapad yung standard na width at depth ng isang lane ng kalsada?

Pwedeng oo at pwede rin hindi, depende po sa design ng pavement kung ito ay reinforced or unreinforced. Meron tayong jointed pavements (JCP) and continuously reinforced concrete pavements (CRCP). Sa jointed pavement ang mga bakal na nilalagay ay tie-bars and plain dowel bars para sa mga joints. Ang commonly used para sa mga tie-bars ay 16mm diameter na may spacing na 750mm with the length of 600mm for 200mm PCCP slab thickness sa longitudinal joints. Ang width po ng kalsada ay depende sa average daily traffic, Para sa provincial/municipal road ay 6.1m or 5m depende if Tourism or Farm-to-Market Roads.
Ano po yung mga required permits pag construction ng PCCP Road? And what type po ng vehicle ang pwedeng makadaan sa PCCP Road?

Dapat po meron design mix na gagawin si contractor na dapat approved ng Engineer/owner -based on "trial and error" mixture to achieve the desired strength in accordance with AASHTO. The approved design mix by the Engineer/Owner will be utilized as a reference for the concrete mixture to be used in the concrete pouring.

If the concrete slab is placed next to a bridge or another structure, an expansion joint is needed.
Many joint filler and sealer products can be used as long as they meet the specifications. Others have dowel bars to serve as load transfer devices, especially if the pavement thickness at the transverse joint is more than 200mm.
