Trash in the carburetor or in the tank blocking the outlet. Years ago I had a cigarette pack plastic wrapper in the tank of my JD 70, gave me fits. Toss into the carb several times and pulled the tank off twice before I figured it out.
Try whacking the side of the carb with a screwdriver, the new cheap rebuild kits have sticky float valves. the float valve usually drops after a little bit, allowing the cub to fire up and then use the rest of the gas in the bowl and die again.
Matthew Hickinsound like you have air in your flue line there should be a way to bleed the line, and are you charging your batter on farmall see you unplugging and plugging into a wire lead.
+roger wilson yes it is still an original 6 volt DC system, it is an a brand new 6 volt battery, but they have an issue with 6 volt battery is they like to go dead when it's cold outside. In the summer I don't plug it in but by bad habit I plugged it in the last time I used it. the thing I plugged it into is a 6 volt trickle/ maintainer charger, and yes there was air in fuel line.
Matthew Hickin Yes 6 volt battery will loose charge in cold weather and are hard to keep charged because of over charging them will burn a cell out real fast. The fuel line can my a grown man cry I worked on one for a full day but it was blocked in the hoes from fuel tank.
bad gas. New methanol blend has only one month shelf life,so use. additive. my cub won't run good on less than 1/2 tank, but have lot. of hills. Know your frustrations.
So question I'm looking at either getting an ih c3 mower it a Mott flail mower for the cub. I'll cutting both the lawn but also taller grass and soemtimes possible brush not real big just over growth. Which one would you think would be better. Everyone I talk to have a rotary mower and never ran a flail and say the rotary even though they never ran a flail. So sense you got a flail I want your opinion on it and how it runs. Thanks love the videos.
