I'm a retired animal groomer and I now inherited a standard poodle 🐩, she's a mix with a smaller poodle 35Lbs ,probably a little more by now lol .I'm injured and want to groom her soooooo bad ,I absolutely love the way your presentation is as you're going along as you're working on the dog,, I think you do a wonderful job of explaining things and I've been out of grooming for 5 years now I tried to go back but I physically couldn't do it my hands are demolished and the rest of my body is too I think you're wonderful and I'm glad to be a subscriber to your Channel thank you very much have a great day. PS I brushed her out last night and my hands are both swollen up to my elbows that's just from brushing her terrible I wish my body wasn't like this I'm so bummed out so bummed out I could cry now I'm stuck on disability

Love this video! Best ever!!! How does it take for the toy poodle coat fully mature? When would you start showing it? 🐩❤️
Hello Pet Groomer UK, A poodle coat is mature at around 2,5 or 3 years old. The worst is where the coat is from 12 to 24 months old when they have a double coat ( the puppy and the adult) and that's where there are always plenty of mats in the coat if you are not careful. I would advise showing the dog at home from the very puppy age as soon he arrives with you and practice every day even on busy roads or even a shopping mall (if allowed) or at show dog training club. Then as soon it's allowed to enter in the dog show depending on the country I would enter here in my country that's at 6 months. The point for me is I think showing must be fun for the dog and for us, they get lots of attention running playing and they love all the attention they can get. I hope this helped... stay safe

My question is how to cut the transition from the chest hair under the ear to the neckhair that should stay long and go into the bigneck. Short toward the shaved parts under the ear, but how do you make the transition from the short under ear hair to the long neck hair om back of neck? Where, and how do you cut it? What hair belongs to what part? Could you make video explaining this carefully in the future? Thanks for your very clear and instructive videos! I never miss one where you cut a poodle!

Hello Kitty, thank you for another wonderful video!! I keep all of them accessible so I can reference them OFTEN? May I please ask if you could do a video on how to accustom a puppy to get used to grooming as they are for you. I am getting ready to get a poodle and as a groomer I really want to do it properly. Doing others dogs, I only see them when they come in, but with my own, I would like to know how often, and what is the best way to train when doing things they might not like, feet and face and blow drying. I am very patient but, what is the balance of them having to get through it verses when not to push to much? I really don’t want to do it wrong because with our own dogs, we can be to tolerant because of our emotions, just like with our kids, they can play on our emotions. So is there any way you could elaborate on this with videos to teach us the best way? I hope I explained this well, I don’t want to come off like I am either a wimp or to harsh, but just really want to train them in a gentle but real way to get the best results. Any recommendations would be sooooo appreciated. I am a bit of a perfectionist and really l want to do this right. I look to God and You for wisdom, experience and heart as my guidelines for my business. Also can you please walk us through a video on top knots, not show ones, but just how to get a really good roundness , where to start, (occiput, behind the ears). I was trained a certain way but I would really love your perspective and instruction. Thank you so much and hope you all are well as we are coming out of captivity. Blessings.
Hello Amy, thank you so much for our lovely comment . we have a video with a Maltese puppy . he is a very very sweet one, but it was his first time on the grooming table. if it's your own dog i would train him every day for a couple of minutes. not long just to put him on the table , play with him , one day do his nails, the other day do something else . like shaving one feet. not to long , just to get used to stand still on the table . you can correct your puppy if he isn't the sweetest one. I have a question, does the Hydra Whitening shampoo have any risk of turning blue hair? or leave any unwanted tone? or can you use it whenever you want without any risk? thanks ☺️
Hello Pedro, Thank you for your question . if you dilute the Shampoo correct ( 1/10) there will be absolutely no problem . if you use the shampoo concentrated , than it can give a grey/ purple shine to the coat. but this is with every whitening shampoo for professional use . Thank you Kitty for your tips but can you recommended me some shampoos for white poodles. Mine has bath every 10 days and even then she is not white as snow like showdogs but light beige. I really don't know how to achieve that snow white fur.
Hello Danijela, thank you for watching my video, some white dogs have so much pigment that they stay a bit creamy in color that's probably from their parents and coms with their jeans. I hope that's not the case with your dog. If this is the case there is not much you can do except love them as they are. Does the eye powder cure the stains or just a coverup?
The Stain away is a Clay based powder for long term base. it's not a cover up. we strongly recommend to use it Daily for a very long term; so on the moment it has to be white for a dog show or grooming competition, it will be snow white .

Hello Kitty! I have a question, I also have a toy poodle puppy and her hair is a little bit shorter than Jazz Lynn at the moment... And the quality is practically the same, not very thick and fluffy. I want to compete with her in 4 months in beginner class and I don't think her top knot will be fully grown... Would you advise I still compete with her?

How long does a grooming like this take start to finish?
Hello Denise, Well it's depending , depending of the fur, the dog en the time you have. From finish till end, for me it takes around 3 hours. Some will work faster, some will work slower. as long as the result is the same and if you have a grooming shop , you can earn some money on it :-) Kind regards, Kitty

If that dog is a puppy I'm SHOCKED. Her teeth are terrible!! The amount of plaque on her back teeth and how enflamed and sore her gums look is what I'd expect to see on a 3 year old dog. Her owners really need to take better care of her if her teeth are already in such a bad state, poor dog

@@TransgroomTV I don't think people realise that dogs teeth need often brushing but at least it was caught quite early. Once the plaque has gone the gums should calm down and not be so sore so that's great for the little pup 😁😁

hi, well, to be honest, i love to groom a lot of difference breeds . i love to handstrip , i love to scissor . Of course poodles are my favorite . but i am a allround groomer so really love to groom a lot of breeds :-)

Hello , THank you for your feedback , however JazzLynn didn't had clipper burn . she had a very light skin , so maybe this is why it looks that way . If you use ceramic blades this will reduce clipper burn . Kind regards, Kitty
