  • A nice little hike around Rancho San Rafael Park in Reno. It was a blustery day but we just had to get out and explore. This is an easy hike that is suitable for almost anyone. No huge hills and lots to do and see along the way.
This park is well known to locals since the annual balloon races are held here each year. The park is just north of downtown Reno and adjacent to the University of Nevada, Reno campus. We parked north of the park and hiked in just so we could get a little more exercise. The park features a huge dog park, a disc golf course (on the north side), lots of picnic areas and ponds, the Wilbur D. May Museum, an arboretum, loads of walking trails, and much more!

I've hiked all around San Rafael Regional Park & found lots of geocaches.
    Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada.
