  • Detail pictures of my 6500 U.K. gallons koi pond. Started July 2017 right after 1 month of moving into the house. 2023 and the pond has done better than I can ever expected growing koi from 55cm to 92cm with 4 years.
    Filtered by red label 50/55 drum and genuine Momotaro 4 tier Bakki showers filled with 400 kgs of genuine BHM. 2 meter double width stainless showers.
    Also recycle RO giving a ph6.95-7.00 tds 35-100 and kh .5
    If you look at other videos you can see my koi pond as off 2022.
    Please share the video and hopefully you can learn from it.

    You definitely measured twice and cut once with the build Chip, great job and having seen it in the flesh with a stunning selection of high quality koi is mesmerising.

    Recently subscribed, stunning pond build mate, as someone else has said, do it once do it right. Pity not many of us know what we're doing when we first start out, hopefully I get a pond like yours one day. Happy new year 👍🏼

      Hey. Thanks for subscribing. Very much appreciated. I once said to someone an expert is someone who’s done it wrong many times and learnt from their mistakes. I’ve learnt from my many mistakes, also I’m blessed with a great friends who are pro pond builders, koi nuts etc. if you are in Facebook, join our group ‘Rasta Koi’ it’s a great place to learn. 🙏🏽 and BTW I’m still learning everyday. 😊🙌🏽✨

    Brilliant pond… do you ever use jump guards or put netting over? Just wondering if you ever get jumpers??

    • @bdkoi1
      @bdkoi1  Před rokem +2

      Hey. Thanks buddy. I’ve only ever had one jumper in the time. A Tosia, personally I don’t like jump guards. It would drive me nuts trying to keep it cleaned. I wouldn’t even be able to sleep with water marks on it 🙄😁. Big fish rarely jump unless a parasite etc. So yes, it’s a risk but thank the lord thus far it’s fine. Won’t even consider netting 😄 - I can lower the water a few inches if needs be. Hope this helps. Thanks for commenting.

      @@wills1206 I’ve been to many ponds with them. And almost always eventually the owners take them off - kinda difficult but equally you want beauty without looking through glass, also whilst netting koi they are a pain.

    • @bdkoi1
      @bdkoi1  Před rokem +1

      Hello. Thanks for your comment and reply. Actually, as stated in the description the pond is performing rather well. There’s actually nothing I would change that I think ‘if only’ or ‘I wish I had’ I’m very pleased with it.
