One thing I noticed with you speed tilling. You aren't going at a very sharp angle. We went to a 15 degree angle to the rows and that solved any plugging or ridging problems we had with ours.
Can we help the Ivers farm, please share this fine content with friends and neighbors!! We got to have season 3 and so forth. Nothing but life on a farm with real struggles!

I live in Western Iowa. We had snow here Friday night and suppose to be 70 here on Wednesday with 50 percent chance of thunderstorms. Crazy.

It’s up in the air as to weather we will get it in time for spring or not
They could also make those arms longer to give more clearance
Also to unplug we can usually drive out to unworked ground, set it down and reverse slowly to try and turn that plug out

It's fortunate your air went out in a flat area.
Fall tillage we usually only run about 12kmh like 7.5-8mph with our lemken disc, you lose some acres/ hour but don't plug up. We couldn't do any discing this fall, been record amounts of rain and snow, we are chisel plowing what little we can get at whenever we have some frost. I don't know that you will not have similar issues with most brands, speed discs work nice but they definitely have a window of optimal ground conditions.
Have you tried running disc at an angle to rows to help keep blades turning? Seemed to help when we used one.
I do when I run tillage but I haven’t ran this any

Good here but 2 hours west of here is where the Amazon warehouse collapse and 3 hours south is where the tornado leveled mayfield KY
A deeper throat on the speed tiller would help also. That would give more room for the dirt and debris to go through. The problem is that is a redesign of the implement. Vertical tillage implements like dryer soils, just the way it is.

Lawns look much improved👍...Rèese, sorry you had such a time with the red volvo...hope David was able to fix it! I know you did your part replacing that blown seal....messy work. Your dad's truck looks great...those people up in Beardstown took care of them while they waited. Looks like they had a nice anniversary get-away at a nice place! Will we get a full new truck bed tour at some point?

we demoed several high speed disc and i think the degelman hands down did the best job and best built

I asked a dealer if we could demo one and we never heard back
great to see some of the turf side. I highly recommend getting the 7 gallon isolated/aux tank for the z spray. I put them on all my z sprays and add a couple separate boom nozzles. Not hard to fab up and allows for 2 different chemicals on board at all times. Saves money and time. Great video!

Like the clearance better on the Great Planes Qualidisc, they waited until other folks finalized their design, then looked @ the issues, then made the corrections to the Qualidisc.

Yeah I'd like to try one some time, we're getting a great plains max chisel next year which has the same style of disc blades ahead of the shanks, I guess from that we can see how well those blades hold up. Other one we'd like to try is a Horsch Joker but I think they might struggle in fall tillage since they have 2 discs mounted to each arm
Love watching the videos I just subscribed about two weeks ago an have watched them all now I can wait for the end of each week for a new one !!! Farming is in my blood we quit farming in the late 90s I really miss the life .. we farmed 2000 acres of corn a soybeans along with hogs !!

Love the channel. Had a 2007 Volvo that would do the same thing but it was the radiator sensor lol put in less than a half gallon and good to go. Congrats on 46th anniversary and a awesome family!!!

No problems with the basket and I haven’t seen any storm damage yet.

We have prepaid and ordered all of our seed fertilizer and chemicals for next year . We have 95 percent of it on the farm in storage. Have you tried a Salford vertical tillage tool? We run a 570rts 35 foot on corn and bean stubble . We use it in the spring to level out the seed bed it cuts and chops the residue perfect . We have a neighbor with a degelman protill they say it plugs sometimes also . Great video keep up the good work!
