Flying Southwest Airlines WITHIN Florida - Tampa to Fort Lauderdale

- After what turned out to be a fantastic week in the Tampa/St. Pete area...disregarding one day...it was back up to the north, first with a very quick ride across the state of Florida aboard Southwest Airlines' B737-700! Besides one hiccup, everything about this experience met my expectations and yah...nice flight. These hops under an hour act very much like air "bus" or shuttle routes with the way it operates and feels so nothing really special. You just pay SWA for a seat aboard their plane and they'll get you to your destination (with a bit of screaming at you as well). Hope y'all enjoy!

Really like your "journey" video collections. Most only show random flights, but you take us along through all your different trip lengths and it never seems you stop traveling! Nicely done.
As a fellow pittsburgher and subscriber I enjoy all your videos especially now with your voice overs.keep up the great work
love your videos
Me too
great video Chris, love to listen to you all day..
Depends on the flight crew base and how their mood is on if they want to be filmed or recorded or not, Southwest has had a few but other airlines are worse
Ive never had major issues i was told once on a UAL flight cant mount the camera to the window for taxi and take off but the FA was super chill about it.
Love the channel. Thank you for all the work you put up!
Early!!! Hi jazzy love your videos keep on posting the great content! One day I want to do videos like you so thank you!
I keep forgetting Southwest has a few intra-FL flights. I've only ever been on one with AA, which was MCO-MIA. Hopefully my next one is MIA-EYW or something beach-y like that :)

Hi, I'm from El Salvador. I really like your videos.
Whenever I fly southwest I always try to choose the flight on a -800. Just nicer overall. I think soon when the MAX7 gets delivered they will start getting rid of these
Great music choice for the drive to the Tampa airport!
I’ll be flying to TPA from BUF on vacation at the end of April. I flew with Southwest last year to the same location last year. TPA is a gorgeous airport.
I really like Tampa Intl - well designed, plenty of great vantage points, effecient to go through, etc.
I am really bummed that, after the pandemic, a shop I liked to go to closed - between the terminal and Marriot - it was a great source for old trading card booster packs (Magic, Pokemon, Digimon, etc).
me to
I’ll be flying Southwest in 28 days from Raleigh to Orlando. Great video :)
Right on trip
I have flown intrastate before on Southwest back in 2018 twice in Texas. Houston Hobby to San Antonio and San Antonio to Houston Hobby
Great vid! Cant wait to see the next.
Also, totally thought the person yelling about being filmed was a passenger at first, not an FA. In my experience, Southwest's FAs arent typically that rude....right? (i usually hear that theyre funny and have a good time at work lol)
Also, can't wait to see what the "something new" you tried is! I'm guessing some type of an upgrade? Or something else. Guess we'll see.
FLL is not the 305. it’s the 954
I like the video so much thejazzguy13 it's awesome
Absolutely fantastic video Chris, though it sucks that there has to be a Karen!
Wow
Doing the same flight in Feb 2024. Got it for 54.00!
We need to know more of the power hungry fa!!!
Great video. I have flown on southwest airlines and I loved it
I am going to be flying into Tampa on December 17th and flying out of Tampa December 20th on Southwest Airlines
Hotel room 404, thought that wouldn't be found 🤣
B16 as a boarding pass that's roughly where I get when I do not use the early bird
My flight on December 20th leaves Tampa at 540am to Atlanta (very early flight)
Super short hop indeed … similar to Lax to Las ?
within a hour!!
I flew silver airways on the exact route, I found them to be decent actually
Yah they're not bad!
Also what camera do you use to vlog?
I flyed Condor and emirates and freebird
I heard you now have to take a sky train to the rental car center instead of walking to it at TPA.
@thejazzguy13 gotta love karens lol i haven't flown southwest yet. though that might change. i flew breeze and enjoyed the flight with them
Walking back to my seat I would've said "Thanks, Karen!"
Is that you singing?
Shaun of NYC
Do flights this short give you the vibe of being on a commuter flight? They give me that feeling of similarity.
I flew southwest often between Reno and Vegas, loved the 1hr flights. Seems like you get up to flight level and 5 mins later you are descending. By air just over an hour, by car 8hrs.
@@westsparks6844 I experienced the same thing flying from SFO to LAX three months ago.
Love intra FL Flying. Sometimes it’s just the headache to drive the state due to its weird road setup between Tampa and Ft Lauderdale
Those pesky Everglades inbetween blocking a good road connection
At 6:11 you say it’s only a 38 minute flight, is that just air time? I am flying from Tampa to FLL next week and my southwest ticket says departure is at 9 and arrival is 10. So does that include taxing, take off and descending and landing overall?
They had 300s at one point
Im sorry that the one FA was rude to you. Thats not southwest like. Since you did not have snack/drink service was it FA choice or was it the airline standards because it was short?
FT. Lauderdale is 954 not 305!!
I love flying southwest and there adding better wifi
they are? You fly them a lot, don't ya?
The Southwest boarding process is absolutely AWFUL, however really enjoy your videos
The route seems really stupid, but try driving from the Tampa area to Fort Lauderdale or West Palm Beach. There is no good route. There are a few bad ones. Interstate 4 and the Alligator Alley part of I-75 are the only decent east-west routes in peninsular Florida and for many trips they’re useless. The east and west coasts of the peninsula are two different universes, effectively.
How’s it going jazzyguy?
Tampa is nice, S Florida not so much.
I actually find S Florida to be much nicer than Tampa. Nothing beats Orlando though.
Wait so it was the Flight Attendant that complained about you filming??? I thought it was a passenger
It was the FA because he said " I want to avoid that lovely ladies section" so he went to the way back of the plane.
I was married to a SW flight attendant. Came with alot of baggage and wasn’t very grounded.😊

Odd choice of music as you were exiting your hotel room--sounded as if the girls on the soundtrack were giggling at you! Are we to assume you flew SWA TPA-FLL-PIT solo while your sister and parents went another route home? Surprised that 'Karen' didn't further harass you as you were filming the scenery. I flew SWA to Tucson in June, used the Early Bird checkin and at the kiosk, was asked if I wanted to upgrade for a few dollars more, allowing for more points and slide into Business Select category
I'm confused why you're posting 1+ year old content.
Rather walk ..lol...not that far, you are a sucker for punishment.
I’d like your vids better if you cut your hair
