Lanae Tava Thomas represented Jamaica in Glasgow at the World Indoor Championship. She ran the first leg of the 4x400m at 51 flat. Born in Jamaica, her parents moved the US when she was about 11 or 12 years old. She was the Pac-12 200m champion her freshman year at the University of Southern California and has degrees from USC and the University of Texas.
I can't wait to see what she runs in the 400m outdoors. I hope she's put on the 4 x400m relay.
Lanae's 22.36 is certainly was one of the best performances of the meet, if not the best. She is so multi-talented! Her future is very bright! All being well, l see her on the Paris bound flight.
