Brooke as someone with anxiety how would you feel if betterhelp was caught selling your conversation data from a therapist with social media companies and advertisers?
literally like get your bag but you have to take your platform very seriously when it comes to promoting buisnesses/services (just like what happened with the established titles) but better help is much worse being very predatory & unprofessional.
YES. KEEP TALKING ABOUT THIS! The betterhelp rabbit hole is dark and it’s insane how quickly it spread as basically the number 1 ad for all podcasts. Don’t use betterhelp folks!!
I both agree but also dont think people shoud be mad at b and c for getting their bag.... podcasters are often held to the standard of supposedly co-signing on all their ads or something and some do live to that standard plus also the company may even ask for something like a personal remark as part of the ad read but literally them doing an ad isnt actually a personal co sign/ imo not their fault for promoting something. Prople have the discernment to make up their own minds about a product
@@EvWuzhere I think it's fine to spread awareness to these podcasters though. There are many other companies out there to advertise besides betterhelp, and even if there wasn't they are part of a company who additionally has a paid subscription model. I get that they don't necessarily cosign ads, but as the consumer I think I'm allowed to be critical about where to draw the line when it comes to bag chasing ethics

From New England, there's Redboxes in a lot of places, mostly outside of CVS and Walgreens. If you're not paying attention you'd think it was a vending machine and not look twice, admittedly. They are starting to fizzle out though
i'm convinced my dad is singlehandedly keeping redbox running, he rents a dvd every 2-4 days

I think what you guys are describing is guided play which differs from free play! Free play would be just letting kids do whatever they like (lord of the flies style), but guided play involves more teacher instruction with a learning goal in mind while also letting the child have autonomy :) my professor researches guided play, and it’s actually really compelling

Children need to be told “no” every now and then. How else can we teach them to respect consent and boundaries if we avoid using the word “no” and negative phrasing?
I can confirm redbox was in the east coast and there are still some in Boston at grocery stores
Brooke, I subconsciously avoid negatives around my children when I can! I read it somewhere when I had my first kid and it stuck to me I guess 😊

The excitement of visiting a beaten up vandalized Redbox outside of McDonalds with the sun screen over it & squinting to pick your movie in the blaring heat is a universal Southern experience i think
They still have read box in the grocery stores in Mass. East coast is still embracing them. (Never use it though)
As someone with toddlers in my family, go-go squeezes are totally also an adult food and my siblings and I have 10/10 talked about the same very thing 😂

BROOKE I went to the 12:30PM AGT taping on 4/2 and saw Simon’s Golden Buzzer… but it was the EXACT same girl? She performed her own song and Simon went up and had her sing again, and then he hit the buzzer (voice in tact)
So I think they re-taped it for some reason? She didn’t talk about her music teacher or future goals, but she was definitely blind and had the voice of an angel?? I’m interested to see what they air
Howie Mandel was a comedian and actor he was in Little Monsters with Fred Savage in the 80s... classic film
Time stamp 15:09 when i was younger i saved the tops of those yummy sobe bottles but the old school glass ones. My goal was to make like a cork wall but of sobe caps hahahaha. Brooke, red boxes are everywhere in PA! I’m born and raised in bumblefuck middle of nowhere PA and my dad LOVED getting the worst D-rated movies from Redbox. Even when he passed, he still had two movies out from Redbox charging his card 😂 we eventually returned them, but it’s a funny joke in the family now
