- @commarkerofficial sent over the prototype for the new ComMarker B6 30W fiber laser for me to test out and share my thoughts with everyone. This is the first Galvo and fiber laser in my shop, so I'm no expert-come along as I learn about this new type of laser!
A fiber laser engraving machine excels at engraving metal and plastics. It is precise and 100 times faster than conventional laser engravers. I have thoroughly tested the new and very affordable ComMarker B6 30W fiber laser engraver, which delivers a lot of performance for its money with its motorized auto-focusing Z-axis, live engraving preview, a rotary system, and a foot pedal.
Some of the best improvements include:
Autofocusing
Electric lift
Larger working bed size (150mm x 150mm)
Smaller footprint
Lighter weight
This laser is faster than any I have had here in my studio. Join me as I review this impressive new laser and explore its features!

What laser would you recommend for cutting charm connectors for permanent jewelry? Like the “mama” /“bestie” charms
I have wanted a fiber laser so badly.
The learning curve aside, I am starting to have quite a bit of fun.
Is this able to “engrave” inside rings? You have an attachment for the x-tool as I recall that enables that machine to do that.
@@jayneweber5510 yes. I can do that with a rotary attachment. And yes, I have it for both machines.
Thank you Melissa for all your knowledge and product reviews. One question: are there any lasers out there that can engrave shiny deep lines like impact pneumatic lasers. All the lasers I ve seen engrave more like etching.
Not that I am aware of. The bright cut is from a mechanical cut and not vaporization of the material. So for the time being, hand engravers will still have a job. LOL.
@@MelissaMuir hand engravers ...lol... I go for airless impact gravers with built in air. Thank you so much for explaining the mechanism between laset and normal gravers.
