The only reason there is or was no market for compact trucks is because they stopped making them
There is no way a Toyota truck will ever come to the American market for under $30,000. Toyota dealers would never let a truck on their lots for under $30,000.
It's sound like how the Hyundai pony enters the america subcompact car market with low price and practicality and how Hyundai becomes a leader now in subcompact car market in america
They will when consumers like me won't buy their expensive cars and trucks!
I have yet to find a Toyota dealership that isn’t run by sociopaths
No way a pickup truck will ever be that cheap. I absolutely do not believe this. These false crazy claims need to stop.
100% BS Just talked to Sales Mgr. at major Toyota dealer about "Stout". He stated that they had just reviewed Toyota's update thru 2025 and there was NO!!! mention of a Stout truck. AINT HAPPENING
Everyone knows all the good trucks and cars from all manufacturers don't come to the US
Footnote: not for sale in the US
I've seen a lot people saying it's not gonna sell in the U.S how do you know bc I can't find any real info on it
@@Grapeman135 There is a formula related to emissions (EPA) and safety standards (NHTSA) the US applies when approving vehicles on the road in the US. This is part of the reason why we see vehicles getting larger instead of smaller and why US vehicle are so expensive compared to say Asia. Look up Wikipedia "vehicle size class". This is why it is very unlikely we will see a $17k Toyota Stout in the US.
@@kalbs89 Completely ass backwards regulations. Like with some single cylinder motorcycles needing crazy emission restrictions. Then you have some guy driving by you in a massive diesel blowing smoke in your face.
Build one with a regular 2 door cab and full length bed, and I'll take one
It's a unibody, so it's likely not possible to shorten the cab and lengthen the bed
Pickup trucks used to be used mainly as working machine with the basics, rubber/vinyl floors, 8 ft bed, single cab, AM/FM radio, optional AC. I want a basic truck that I am not afraid to get all dirty.
To bad they don’t stick to that price bye time the dealers get their hands on it becomes 45000
This would hurt Taco sales in the U.S. We will never see this truck.
Taco sales are in the gutter.
Reported for bullshit.
No way this will come to the U.S. Even if it did it would be starting at 25k. I would be happy to be wrong on this, but I really don't think so.
They have to Ford already did it
@@NightOwl-uw7yq Maybe starting at 25k not 17k. That is not going to happen!
Costly regulations and mandates indicates you are telling the truth
What happened to the $10,000 truck promised a year ago?
Toyota has never announced a stout or anything like it. its a sham. and a shame. Gotta start shutting down these ai videos. and bring back downvotes.
Toyota doesn’t have plans for Stout, clickbait
It won't be 17k.
I will definitely keep a close eye on this truck because in my opinion no one makes a better truck than Toyota
When do they plan on delivering these trucks to the Dealers ?
Getting ready to buy something and I would love for it to be a new yoga
First it was 10k now it’s 17k
Whoever does it 1st of all the REasonable Truck Claims will swin it cause prbably a boatload of Vet's like me ready 2 go git me one ASAP !!
not drunk butv cripple'd had thus typos Maximiss
I like it. A 2 door hybrid with modern comforts and conveniences would be a nice upgrade from my 2 door Silverado. I sure wish America could figure out how to make a good looking and affordable 2 door truck that gets great gas mileage. America invented pickup trucks and 2 doors were the standard for half a century. Both of my Grandfathers drove 2 door pickup trucks; and both of those old 2 door trucks are still cherished family members. It's absolutely shameful that America is letting Japan spank our bare bottoms like schoolyard bullies when it comes to making affordable, efficient 2 door pickups. Absolutely shameful. 😞
Getting tired of these videos.
As said many times B4 & as a DAV w/low $$ I'll celelbate it gladly & loudly Hope it Happens
$17,000 dollars becomes $30,000 once it's bought and driven off the lot. Still that's far better than other new vehicles on the market. But the $17,000 advertised price is far less than what it would really cost for this truck if was actually produced and sold in the US.
If they use parts fromChina or Mexico they will not last more than 3 years before something major happens
Wonder if they’ll make a Stout with a standard cab and longer bed like the original.
Dont believe the puckup price that low. Toyota nerds to be in fair market competition with other car makers to avoid lawsuit so the MSRP price could
be close to ford ranger which might be close to $26000 or higher. Even if the cost of priduction is $12000.
Nice video Clean Tech; however, youn NEVER approached the market value add on each toyota dealer will surely add to the msrp. Gonna do something, DO IT RIGHT or don't do it.
It’s nothing like the original.its a car without a trunk lid. Still not what I want, it’s closer but not close enough.
WHERE IS THE TOYOTA $5000 DOLLAR PICKUP YOU PROMISED US? FORD AND TOYOTA BOTH SAID $5000 DOLLAR PICKUPS COMING
When I can buy it for 17 grand... then I believe it.
They'll destroy the Tacoma overnight if they bring this to market.
On second thought... hasn't Toyota already destroyed the Tacoma with the '24 model?🤔
Has anyone seen Bigfoot driving a Toyota Stout out to feed the Loch Ness Monster?
how long until with new engine hydrogen
Very speculative assertions at best!
You guys have no idea what the pricing will be.
2:02 imagine not knowing how to spell Colorado
Can I Order one At 17000 ji jiji
I need two in usa california hello
CANADA??????
Sheeple
This is bull, they say this truck starts at $ 29,000 ,,no one will want this thing for $30,000, keep it in Japan ....
Where is it ? 17k, fake post
Yeah, what happened to the 8000.00 STOUT. Nothing but click bait😢
The stout is a suv
Its not a truck a truck has a 8 foot bed
Oh, no. Here we go with the "Not a real truck" snobs again.
O a venza w the rear roof knocked off . . a car ,all carthe stout came w a seven& six ft bed, not a useless 3 ft bed. . Stop calling a car w struts, an electric rack & unit bearings a truck . . It is not
Will this crap ever end? There is no Stout! There isn’t going to be a Stout either!
Is the Stout coming to America?
Yes
@@emcinc9654 how are you sure? Any literature?
@@Ray-ce4tf how are you sure? Any literature to prove it?
There is no way this truck will sell for under 20,000 bucks buy the time it is released! Even if Toyota means well, the douchebag dealerships will charge another 10 to 15 grand over the msrp!
Liar, liar, pants on fire!
😅
Click bait.
F hybrids
10,000 is the number to beat in pu's. gm 8k, ford 8k and 5k. tesla 8k....all pickups small and smaller price. toyota has the champ at 8k but, not coming to the usa .....stout at 17k, out of the money
Propaganda wasn’t worth watching
Give us a simple truck, no computer, all weel drive, good milage per mile and we will buy it next day. Joe Doe deplirable gor sick of being robed by the car sellers withh all those useless additions and perks.
