Lol the rod pushed through the thurst plate, that's why the arm came up so high but it could be the pressure plate that is the number one symptom when the pressure plate goes, the ringer gear on the flywheel is fucked, and you burnt the clutch you saw all that black dust in the flywheel. But Bru go Vr6 one time with management sell your motor and gearbox for R2500 and put other odds by that's a plan. But you doing good so far bra you coming along way I can relate cause I also build my caddy mk1 from scratch one man.

There is something called a Dogpin. I think its on the top of the box casing. Could be that too. Some boxes get stuck in a gear due to faulty dogpin not sure if it's the right name for the part think it's a nickname for it.

U dont have to remove both wheels...only one side and the other shaft by engine u just loose the shaft by gearbox
