Let's be honest, Annette was the star of the Mouseketeers and always will be!

I was the second writer on the show, WGAw "Creative Consultant", as well as one of the hosts but I was performing the musical "George M" in Vegas*, so I missed the heaviest tap number when the original shooting was stopped by the SAG strike that year, 1980, and I had started the George M Cohan sing/dance. I would have been on the other side of Sharon as she and Bob were in front and 2 sets of 3 tapped along behind them; we were considered the three best hoofers on the series. "Vegas musicals" are cut down, some songs gone, as much dialogue as possible and no intermission. Two shows a night, Six nights a week. Whew! When the strike was over I could not get out of the anniversary show so I got 4 hours of sleep a night, flew to Burbank via prepaid ticket, now Bob Hope, Airport, my wife drove me to the nearby Disney Studios where I shot until I had to take off my costume ( in the car, put on casual duds), my wife driving me back to the flyby, and took a small craft [not pleasing at all!] aircraft to cab to the theatre, if time, put on some makeup and start the first show of the evening. Did this for about 10 days; it is good I was in my 30s or I might not have survived. Mouseketeer Lonnie

No one ever mentions Mr. Walt Disney himself. If it wasn't for him we would have never been able to enjoy watching Annette or any of the others. R.I.P. Mr. Walt Disney.

This touches me, especially when they sing "I Wish I Was a Kid Again." I wonder if, during the last third of her life, Annette wished she were a kid again. Poor baby.

RIP, Karen Pendleton, who passed away earlier this week. So sad that only three years after this reunion, Karen was paralyzed from the waist down in car accident.

dont remember most except for annette , but bobby was an incredably talented dancer for years after. stupidly good at it. really remarkable. fred astair was a stick figure. gene kelly was grace in motion. bobby was perfection. period.

I didn't get to see them on TV, I was born in 54, but later on some reruns I enjoyed them after my fifth birthday. And my first visit to Disneyland was in 1960.

The same light-hearted joy remained. I remember this reunion show. It’s hard to believe it was forty three years ago.

Love “ROLL CALL” but a few names, very frankly, weren’t familiar to me ( undoubtedly forgot them lol!) but I so loved this show! One of my favorite childhood memories, watching this show. Many are sadly now doing “sound off /ROLL CALL” in heaven! We miss you Annette, Walt Disney, Jimmy, Karen, Darlene & undoubtedly so many others! God Bless your souls & REST IN PEACE!” ❤️

Absolutely beautiful. my favourites were Karen and cubby. But loved them all. Wish my grandkids and my kids had this sort of t.v. shows to watch. But a sad generation now. Thankyou.

Dennis was my heartthrob. He still looks great in this. And of course dear Annette had that extra something of which stars are made! A truly beautiful individual.
