Beautiful job. You are such a good teacher! Ruach is getting so big but is a good soul and Tucker was being a super patient leader♥️

It's so awesome to see Ruach's journey with you! I love how he's almost as tall as Tucker and you and can't wait to see how tall he'll actually become. Looking forward to the day when he gets his first ride and where you take him for his riding life.

Your video has inspired me to get going doing this myself. I have a rescue horse who "gets" being ponied -- perfectly -- but my riding horse has never ponied another horse. So that will be the challenge. And I do expect my riding horse to kick out a time or two like Tucker did. So it was good to see that. Now I'll be ready and won't panic 😂

Thank you so much! Never realized it was this easy I’ve been trying to think about how to do this but did not even think to look for a video 😂 my little brother does not know how to ride and has serve adhd so I can’t teach him he won’t remember anything and will want to run right away lol so I was going to put the saddle on my little cob pony for him and pony him while he’s on with my horse we will see how that goes haha❤

I looove your content! You’re such a pleasure to watch and learn from.
This is a random question I have a 24yo tb who I’ve had for 9 years. We have been through a lot together but he has 1 habit I can’t kick. When he’s impatient/waiting for me to something. Ie feed dinner, tack up/leave for a ride, turnout etc. he pushes me with his head! We know and do well ALL the groundwork exercises he backs up off light pressure he’s very good and well behaved when he gets his way/attention. But he’s just a honestly spoilt old man 😂. Is there any way you can think I can stop him pushing me?! I was about to say he understands personal space but he clearly doesn’t?! Despite us knowing natural horseman ship as a pair!? Don’t worry if you’ve no ideas but I am more than open to any suggestions?!

Question for you Carmela: As I said I'm going to be doing this for the first time w my two horses and I'm curious whether you think there's an "alpha horse" aspect to this. Like, do you think the ponying horse would see himself as more in charge than the horse being ponied? There are several ways to look at it. Yes, if they're doing it right, the ponying horse is out in front, so he could be considered the leader. But my understanding is that in a pair of horses, the alpha horse is typically in the back, driving the other one. Or maybe who's in front means squat. 😂 Fwiw, the horse I'll be riding is the alpha in this duo. When my rescue was ponied before, it was behind a mare he didn't know and I think he was in love. He behaved perfectly, in a 1.5 hr trail ride. He only pulled back once, to pee.
