    I so !! appreciate you showing how you introduced Ruach and Tucker -- especially your anxiety, and how you resolved that. I do not have nearly your experience with horses, but working at a horse rescue I feel the compassion for the horses and the need to let them work it out. And I feel that anxiety, hoping that it DOES work out. Thank you.

    Ruach is such a cool name! Very unique. It sounds kinda medieval, which I think is awesome!
    I agree that it is difficult to watch horses turned out together for the first time. We had a mini horse for a bit and my big gelding at the time literally knocked him over! Eventually though, the mini became the boss over my 16 h.h gelding and our Arab cross!

    Apple cutting tip: Cut the apple into quarters then you can cut the core away by just slicing down to remove. It’s easier to just get the core removed and not lose as much edible fruit. You can also use an Apple peeler and slicer. Then you have nice apple slices, core removed, and the apple skin can be fed to other animals, the horses, or used to make horse treats.

    • @dianat5305
      @dianat5305 Před 11 měsíci +1

      You make a good point! However I cut my apples that way too. I believe the core is still edible for horses. Science has now shown that the seeds are not harmful to humans. But feel free to check out that fun fact 😊

    • @auntieliz930
      @auntieliz930 Před 11 měsíci +1

    • @cattymajiv
      @cattymajiv Před 10 měsíci +1

    If Ruach is under a year and already looks like a small horse (proportion wise), you know he's going to get stocky! Horses get usually "stock-up" between 2 and 3 years (previously they grow mainly in height) so... yeah, I'm excited to see him grow. :)

    That popsicles are very good, and when you want them out you put them a moment in water. Do you know there is also natural flyspray? You can even make it yourself.😊
    I saw on friesian horses yvonne had a spray: you have to boil a handfull cloves in water. I know that vinegear helps also, but don't know if you can spray that on horses, maybe together with the cloves?🤔

    I have had to use that eye ointment in three of horse's eyes so I finally figured out an easier way to do it. My horses are more able to deal with my hand near their eye than that little tube and I was wasting a lot because they would move. So I started to put sterile medical gloves on one hand, pulled the index finger tight, and put the needed amount of ointment on my fingertip. Then I just pulled down the bottom lid, and quickly applied the ointment. Then just cupping my hand over the horse's eye for a couple of seconds made sure they close the eye or blink enough to spread the ointment. It may be unorthodox but that tip used to get dirty in my last boarding facility and I was always nervous that they would jerk their head and get hurt by the tip if I didn't move quick enough.
    BTW, your farm is looking great!

    • @cattymajiv
      @cattymajiv Před 10 měsíci +2

      But your Focus on your own body is a big turn off, and so is you Barbie crap. It's arrogant, immature, and it doesn't send a good message at all.
      You are trying to target girls and young women. Why not give them more of the truly helpful stuff that this channel gives, instead of a steady stream of narcissistic "Look at me!" crap. Frankly, it's just disgusting.

    A few weeks ago a horse named Glen came to my stables and was put with hobo and 1 more they are both older, Glen started chasing biting and bucking them and wouldn't stop the two older horses where bleeding one of them fell but Glen still wouldn't stop I'm not sure if Glen is still there but hobo and the other horse are fine now just a few scabs/bruises and a younger horse whos 9-10 year's was being ridden was bucking so person who was riding him got of and calmed him, i was riding a horse named moonshine she was a bit scared but all of horses are fine ❤

      How have you never learned to use capital letters and periods (or question marks, or exclamation marks, etc) to form sentences?!
      And what about separating ideas into paragraphs? Sheesh!
      Nobody wants to read stuff that just runs on. It's a lot of extra work to try to figure out what on earth you are trying to say. So people just won't bother reading it at all!

    Putting horses together is always dangerous because they have to determine the ranking. You did very good to try another way.👍
